    Dirty fridge

Friendly staff, but terrible rooms. Checked in and went to see my room only to find the tv and the bathroom lights were on. Asked for another room, which had a humming sound and a toilet that kept running. The third room was ok, but later found the tv had white dots on it, the fridge was not cleaned out, and the tub had a piece missing by the faucet. This place needs to overhaul their management. Looks like maintenance and the cleaning staff are shirking their duties possibly b/c there's no accountability.

After reading a lot of reviews, I was hesitant to continue with my booking. However, the price and being pet friendly made it an easy choice. The location is great, a lot of things and activities to do; shopping, eating, gaming and near many beaches. The hotel lobby was clean and I liked the updated style. There is a dining area to eat or read and a sitting area with a fire place. The gym is well maintained and the pool and hot tub look clean. There is a laundry area if needed, takes cash I believe. It is important to note that there is not a free breakfast included. It is $15 a person and buffet style. The dinner menu is limited and only offered during certain hours. There is no room service. None of that was a problem for me. And it is not prime tourist season so it wouldn't make sense for the hotel to have the extra expense of staff and material. The room had a mini fridge, Keurig and microwave. The room was spacious and plenty of room to sit and relax or work at the desk. I did read one review that they were upset there were no instructions to the remote for the tv.... It's a basic remote. Channel 2 has the guide. It is nice because there are several HBO stations along with local channels. All the lamps have outlets and usb connections. The thermostat is adjustable, which is rare, I like being able to control the room temperature. There is a small area in the lobby with snacks and other items to purchase. The front desk is staffed 24/7. Of course most hotels could use some renovations but you really can't beat the price for the location and amenities. The staff was nothing but very accommodating. There is a pet fee of $75 for the first few days and a daily $5 cleaning. This is beyond reasonable compared to other hotels we have stayed at. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to book another stay. Lastly, I'd like to point out that the property is clean and well maintained. Parking lots are well lit so I definitely felt safe walking my dog at night.

Arrived to check in -room reserved wasn't ready. Microwave broken, fridge filthy, tub peeling. I ended cleaning the fridge -the cleaning guy left like it wasn't his responsibility. The maintenance saying the tub was cleaning responsibility and cleaning guy saying it was maintenance responsibility. Was comped a night decided to check out early and was told I couldn't unless I needed a receipt. Asked for a receipt only to have a late check out fee. Asked about the comped night "oh I wasn't made aware of that" total lack of accountability. Was eventually comped the night which only removed the late check out fee. Beds were like bricks. Pool was "closed" I asked about it as I made them aware as the extremely high chlorine they acted surprised and said "oh wait isn't the pool closed" elevator broke on the first night.

So I wasn't even aware that you. Can put hotel reviews on yelp but this is my place for reviews. As I sit here at 8:42 checked out and they refuse to brew more coffee, I'm just disappointed. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told if Nicole comes in it will be around 9:30 and Devin after 11. Honestly the room was clean, I am not sure how much it was per night as it was gifted to us the lobby is beautiful but the building is in need of repair. The bathroom was gross not towel in the tub gross (that's a story for another day) but gross nonetheless. I am not sure if breakfast came with my room or water as we were not told and when we asked about the water they said just drink it. People were nice the breakfast lady that was here on Sunday was super nice and made more coffee this lady refused. Breakfast is over at 9 and people check out at 10 and no coffee ... like is that ok ?? Not a good bye , see you later, not a thank you for your stay nothing. The night time food is not open on the weekends weird but ok. Checked in on Saturday checked out today is Monday came to Hampton for the Hampton Jazz festival at the Coliseum it was super close like 2 miles away near everything! Quick and easy to get to the show and they also had a shuttle. Ok back to the room, big and spacious AC was nice!!! Super cold! They cleaned it . Carpet could use replacing. Pillows and bedding was terrible very uncomfortable either the detergent they used I was allergic too our they had bed bugs... I felt as if I was attacked all night. I didn't see any visible signs of bed bugs but they can be there and not be seen, so I've heard. So don't hold that against them just in case it was the detergent. But I will call the manager later. The bathroom was the worst - the water ran in the tub it could not turn off the shower was old and the shower head needed to be repaired. Plus the design well you'll see the pictures you can sit on the toilet wash your hands and turn on the tub. Ok I guess won't keep rambling. I really don't like giving poor reviews but yeah! I would never come back to this location and maybe not a Hilton garden unless it was brand new.

Hotel is decent, nothing great. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The parking was well lit and I did not feel unsafe when we parked in the back of the property in order to come through the back door. The room was large and nicely situated. It has microwave, fridge, tv with a a working remote. The issues I had are in the sink area. Mirror looked like it should have lighting but it didn't, what it did have was a look of mold or something on the back of the mirror. The sink looked like someone let something drip and run into the sink but never cleaned it...and it hardened and stayed. I ran hot water to see if it would wash away and it did not. Sorry Springhill, that is all I am going to do to help you fix this problem. I am in room 300 if anyone cares. I just showered. When I turned the water on and hit the lever for water to shoot out of the shower head, the tub started to fill up. I had to really tug on the button so that the water would not come out of the showers head and the tub head. What I did like was that they have soap, shampoo, and conditioner in pump bottles so I don't wast product and so I don't have bring my own. All that and the ones they have in the shower smell good. We paid around $90 for the room which is decent but I also expect cleanliness for whatever price I pay. That needs to be corrected before I return.

Mid-grade Hilton tucked away on another nondescript four lane divided road in another plat of suburban sprawl. Hotel is fairly well maintained. Staff friendly and engaging. Lobby restaurant was surprisingly tasty with a generous and bountiful happy hour - I had wine - big pours for $4. Try the spicy meatballs - definitely locally made and not some frozen variety. Yes you have to pay for breakfast - or free if you are Hilton Honors member. Wide variety of food available and worth the time to sit down and eat. Only detractor - bed is a bit too stiff - what is it with Hilton's and not having softer beds? Lord give me padding.

My sister and I stayed here for a few days while we were in town for the Hampton Jazz Festival. I love Hilton hotels. This location was a little quirky to start with. With the exception of the bathroom door being dirty - like a soda had exploded and they forgot to clean the door, our room was clean. We had arrived just in time to freshen up and change for Friday nights show. As we were leaving to go to the Coliseum, we noticed that the door handle to the room was not securely attached - ie; it was broken. We went downstairs told the front desk staff the issue and they switched us to a different room. We start unpacking in that room and noticed that there was not a shower curtain or adequate towel and wash cloths. As we leave for the show we tell the front desk staff about our concerns again. The gentleman on duty told us that everything would be taken care of by the time we returned - and it was. Breakfast the next day was just ok. The food on the hot bar could have been hot or at least a little warmer. I got the feeling that they had cooked the food and put the food in the cold heating elements. Big disappointment. The orange juice and cranberry juice were more like orange drink/cranberry drink - they were both very sweet - comparable to Sunny delight drinks. I would come back to this hotel again. It was very convenient to various place that we visited.

There is a newly constructed walkway that cuts the trip time. The bar has specials throughout the week and there is a brewery right across the walkway. Service throughout the hotel was great, the front desk, bar, cleaning staff. There was usually water out in the lobby, which was nice. At times the trash overflowed or the ice wasn't replenished. But also there was one time when there was citrus water, cucumber water and lemonade out for guests, all at once. I thought that was very thoughtful. I overheard the staff interacting very positively with each other, thanking one another for their help/support. That was great to see. Our room was clean and spacious. AC definitely worked (which I loved, hubs not so much.) Nice big windows and the curtains blocked out most of the light, just not along the top of the windows. No flashing smoke detector, which is a peeve of mine. Speaking of peeves, the bathroom is beautiful. However, I hate that these hotels have taken on these barn doors. I would like to simply close and secure my door. This was worse bc it was a double door, loud and clunky. This led to unnecessary noise at night. Often times, I'd slide the 2 doors together, turn around and one would slide right back open. And no matter what I did, the doors wouldn't close all the way. I included a photo. Moving on, the shower was huge with a double shower head AND a closing shower door. However, the water pressure was very poor. Same goes for the toilet. It would, at times, take several flushes to clear the toilet. TMI, but hey... You've read this far. Lastly, the towels leave little white fibers behind which was a nuisance as well. We left and returned at 4p for check in and were met with a long line of customers attempting the check in, but rooms still weren't ready and the front desk staff couldn't be bothered to try and accommodate. A customer and a member of staff began quarreling over the lack of respect the staff was showing and the manager had to get involved. We then checked in and were placed at the top floor as the manager wanted to accommodate my pregnancy and rest with less noise and traffic, which I greatly appreciated. This situation landed our toddler in the hospital since the mold in the air inflamed his respiratory system. The other issues we had are: Room Service ONLY ONCE a week- When paying $100 a night for an extended stay, this is unacceptable. They are already charging a pet fee and the cleaning they offer is subpar. We requested to borrow a mop and vacuum to do it ourselves since they don't offer ones in the rooms. The vacuum didn't work which questions what type of cleaning they actually do. We brought this up a copious amount of times and it was left unresolved by the management. Room accommodations are subpar- For the $100 rate, you get a studio and no where for an infant or toddler to sleep. On a positive note, the staff was friendly for the most part. The facade of manicured groundskeeping does give the impression of a decent place to stay. However, once inside, there's a truth of why I was compelled to not stay there. I booked the stay through Expedia. My reservation was scheduled for 7/23 - 7/26. None of the pictures in the app show the reality of what the rest of the hotel looks like. I arrived at the hotel 7/23 to check in. Upon the entrance of the lobby, there was a reception desk to the far left where they are stationed. Behind the desk, there is a wall on the left that has a noticeable water stain around it at the time I was checking in. The check-in process seemed okay. The manager Tracy checked me in, handed me the keys, and advised me how to access the side door number 2 to bring in my luggage. I get a porter to gather my luggage and walk through the hotel's first floor to the side door. The corridor to the side door is to the left of the lobby desk where I checked in. Once in that short corridor, you take a left to go through the hallway to get to the side door 2. Along the way, water stains on the ceiling are prevalent with irregular patches of smooth plastering and popcorn ceiling right to the door. Both finishes were stained. There was a sprinkler that had a square hole about four inches on each side cut out in the ceiling. My skin was crawling. With the help of my cousin, I get my luggage loaded on the porter, I go back inside to go up to my room on the third floor by the elevator. Upon exiting the elevator, there's a faint musty smell in the hallway. For the segment of the hallway where my room was located there are prevalent water stains on the third floor ceiling that ran from the elevator and extended beyond my room. As soon as I opened the door my room, the musty smell in the hallway was concentrated in my assigned room. It was rank of dampness and humidity. The smell stopped me at the door. I looked back at my cousin who said, "Ain't no way." I struggled to step further into the room but did go in. The back of my throat was gagging because the smell was so repulsive. There was a sofa in the room that looked like it was picked up off the side of the road, post rain storm as it has noticeable water stains on it as well as can be seen in the pictures. I sit down on a chair that is not upholstered to call Expedia. I told them that it was not possible to sleep in that room and that I had strong concerns for my health with the condition of the hotel. I was told that the matter would be escalated and to expect to hear something by the following Monday. I had not unloaded a single thing, make my way out of the room but not before taking more pictures of the hallways. I went back to the front desk where the manager, Tracy, that checked me in was no longer there. A Lala was there and took the keys back that was witnessed by my cousin. I requested that the manager be contacted to reach out to me. Never happened. I find accommodations elsewhere. Having been told the manager would be back Saturday, 7/25, I reach back out to the hotel. She was not there. Spoke at length with another front desk clerk that went on with excuses for the condition of the hotel. I requested the manager be contacted to reach out to me. Never happened. Monday, I reach back out to Expedia about the status of the escalation to get a refund to which I was told there was none. This agent does follow through with filing an escalation on which I did receive an email on 7/29 confirming an escalation was being reviewed for resolution. I do take it upon myself to contact the hotel and finally reach Tracy, 7/31. She told me that she'd never gotten any communications from Expedia whatsoever. I circle back to Expedia 7/30 about the escalation. I tell them of Tracy saying that she never received any communication from Expedia.
