Wow. Wow. Wow. What a beautiful restaurant. Great location, the golf course is amazing, the building architecturally is BEAUTIFUL. From start to finish it may be the best dinner I've ever had. We had a set menu for 12 people, seafood tower, Cesar's salad with prosciutto, Zeppoli with prosciutto, oxtail pasta (THE BEST), ribeye steak, and scallops. Great experience. Our steak was cooked perfectly and the drinks were great. The service was also above par. The tiramisu is must for dessert. Not since my visit to Hawaii, have I mentioned a cup of coffee in a review, but this place brews a good cup of coffee as well. The ambience was also relaxed but upscale. Incredible Italian steakhouse pop up at Suneagles Country club which will be going private soon so get here while you can. They will eventually be taking over a former restaurant on premise that will be open to public but it's a must visit. The ambiance is immaculate - decor on point and feels like you're legit dining in a secret attic in a gorgeous mansion. The chef and sommelier are both incredibly talented and it's the same partnership duo that own & operate Battello in Jersey City as well as kitchen step. Whenever I go out for dinner, whether it's with my wife, with friends or most often with my wife and friends I (fortunately or unfortunately) am always in search of not just a good meal but the ultimate experience. There are 3 things (in my opinion) that contribute to an experience. The Food, The Attentiveness of the staff and the The Vibe of the restaurant. These 3 factors have always helped me rank my FAV places to decide where to spend my money and time. I have a new FAV in New Jersey. Ember & Eagle Steakhouse in Eatontown. Holy shit is the place the ultimate experience. It was legitimately a 10/10 in all 3 categories. It did not disappoint in any way, not even a little. From the moment we drove up the driveway to the valet at the front door of a beautifully restored golf clubhouse I knew this was going to be great. The young lady that greeted us at the hostess stand made us feel as if she had been waiting for our arrival all night. She said our table would be ready shortly and directed us to the bar, that was so my vibe! Bartenders dressed like professional bartenders (and enough of them) took our drink order in less than a minute and made me one of the best Old Fashioned's I have ever had. What was so great was it was crowded so you felt part of something but it didn't feel "crowded". Table was probably ready in 15 minutes. Perfect. I am going to skip straight to the service staff to make sure they get the love they deserve. Our waitress Jackie was exactly what anyone would want at a fine restaurant. She was absolutely awesome. What a personality (no surprise she grew up in Nutley), always watching to see if we need anything. Never felt rushed and she knew everything about the menu. Everything!!!!! When I go back I will 100% be requesting to be in Jackie's section. As I get older (54) I have found myself requesting specific staff when someone is that good. She is a game changer. Corey stopped by our table to check on us and made us feel like we were his most important guests of the evening. Seriously. Now for the food. No joke when I say this, if I was going to the electric chair tomorrow, this would be my last meal! If you went there, had only the bread and left, you would leave with a smile on your face and feel like you got your money's worth! This Focaccia Bread left an impression. Ever have Zeppole's for an appetizer? I have now. Imagine the most delicious (and light) Zeppole you have ever had with perfect Prosciutto, Pecorino Romano Cheese sprinkle and drizzled hot honey! Insanity. The octopus was cooked perfectly! Until you have had perfectly cooked octopus, you have not had octopus. This was on point! Baby Gem Caesar (only way to do Caesar) was so unique. It looked like a tower of goodness. I will attach a picture because I can't describe how awesome the presentation was and the taste was even better. All four of us raved about the meals we ordered. No bullshit. We all felt like we won the "I ordered the best thing" game. Honestly though, I did! I went here for the NY Strip and they should officially rename it the NJ Strip! No question as good as ANY steak I have eaten, anywhere! Creamed Broccoli Rabe, Insane Mushrooms (gotta have them) rounded out the best meal I've had in the last 5 years! Jackie then goes ahead and says we have to share the Smores Napoleon! Holy F!! I told you she knew the menu. So as we are preparing to leave I ask Jackie for a bottle of water for the ride home and she gives me a table size Saratoga Water and is like "here take this". She is the best! If you have ever been to ANY of Chef Ryan's restaurants, you know his food kicks ass! It's never good, it is always next level. Always. This place exceeded all my expectations and is currently my FAV place until further notice! I usually have a great experience with wonderful service however I was told I was no longer welcome as per management. My reservation was canceled, wasn't called in stead traveled all the way to restaurant. The new general manager , normally hobbling around , whom I thought was helpful blatantly told me he no longer wanted to serve me and owners did not want me in the establishment. The food is not even spectacular its sub par at best, a basic culinary student could put together better dishes and plating. I feel I'm being discriminated against due to the fact I'm a women of color. My attorneys often golf there, so do family members. I record most of my experience there because of the live music. I would normally put up a fight but this place is not worth it. Overpriced food , limited menu , and new general manager , along with jackey, faith and Kasey the sever. Whom which I never had issues only witnessed Casey the new Gm yelling in there faces. I honestly had considered nomination of this cute little pop up for restaurant week, but not now. You never know whom your dealing with until its too late. My complaint was warrented because plating was not the same , then sending me out my food swimming in a sauce that had been placed on the side previously. Don't dine here unless you want to treated less than because you expect top quality or won't except being sat at a wobbly high top table by cold window when you specifically request parlar booth table. Absolutely fabulous retirement dinner (for me!) tonight , hosted by my brother-in-law, who is a member of the golf club. This is not typical country club fare. This is outstanding fine food and professional service in an atmosphere that has an energy that is perfect. The noise level is wonderful for conversation. Toni served us attentively and efficiently...totally on point. She was a pleasure. I have celiac disease and there were plenty of gorgeous gluten-free options. She was patient and kind, explaining modifications that could work for me. The Caesar Salad with prosciutto and ricotta salata was the best I've had....such a creative combo and beautiful presentation. The 4 of us shared a porterhouse and a ribeye ...both grilled perfectly. Try the red pepper steak sauce! The steaks were accompanied by roasted carrots with marcona almonds, parmigiano french fries and broccoli rabe. Desserts were the s'mores and the outstanding (and gluten-free) house-made gelato: cherry buttermilk! One of the best meals I have had in a while! Each dish just kept getting better and better as the night went on. Our waitress Annie was so nice and gave us great recommendations. I loved the Pecorino Zeppoles, it's not often that you find a savory zeppole and these were so tasty. The plate it was served on was covered in prosciutto with a hot honey drizzled on top. The Grilled Octopus and Little Gem Caesar were also delicious! The Caesar Salad had the perfect amount of dressing, and the octopus was cooked to perfection. For entrees, don't pass up the Porterhouse Steak... it was one of the best ones I have ever had! I got a truffle sauce on the side to have with the steak and it was the perfect touch to an amazing steak. I also really enjoyed the Ricotta Gnocchi. The pasta is made fresh at Ember & Eagle and you can definitely tell. For dessert, we tried the S'mores Napoleon and the Lemon Olive Oil Cake. The S'mores Napoleon was delicious and has a smoky taste since they bring it out on a plate with a glass covering that is filled with smoke inside. Most always there's a few good enough thing's presented , most mediocre but the ambiance & company make up for it & you move on. Last night I had the pleasure of coming to your establishment for a late birthday dinner & man was I completely surprised at just how delicious & on point everything was! Starting with the martini that was made to perfection to everything that hit the table. Special mention to the bone marrow steak tartare ( though our waitress failed to tell us that was all salt on the bottom ) to the porterhouse, finished with the hazelnut tiramisu.... I've been shown this restaurant by a few people on social media and decided to give it a swirl. First off, it is on a golf course and the views especially during sundown are beautiful. The building and venue is equally beautiful and still smells newly built. The staff was attentive and helpful and the manager was circling the room making sure every guest was enjoying their meal and time. Looking at the menu there is something for everyone. We started with the focaccia potato and onion bread and it was some of the best bread I ever ate.. And I make my own breads. The himachi was clean and the accompaniments just right to not over power the dish. Next we for the octopus and beef tartar on bone marrow which was great all combined together, the octopus was crispy and soo tasty. For entrée we got the ribeye on bone and swordfish dish that is indeed fried. Never have I had fried swordfish but i absolutely loved it. It came with a mint salad which you'd think would be an odd combination but it was so freshing and crisp. The steak as slightly over temp than what was ordered but still delicious with the roasted garlic and onion. Dessert we landed on the s'mores. Not your typical s'more dessert which came in a smoking cloche smelling of wood and bonfire, an absolute must. First time coming here. Heard about this restaurant all over social media so was slightly skeptical on how good it could be. Was pleasantly surprised . Beautiful atmosphere definitely somewhere you go dressed up slightly and for a nice occasion. The service was honestly fantastic. The waiter was extremely professional and super knowledgeable on the menu and the allergies with restrictions. It doesn't say what is GF on the menu but he went through all the items knowing which were ok and which were not I was completely impressed. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection and the octopus appetizer was so tender and full of flavor. Steak doesn't normally need sauce but the black truffle emulsion sauce was such an amazing add on . I added it to the mash potatoes sides and could eat it by itself as well. All in all everything was cooked to perfection and the drinks were great. It's expensive here but it's one of the few steakhouses where it's worth coming back to and worth spending the money. My only negative would be the choices of sides. I only wish there was a green option. Like broccoli, spinach, or asparagus. All of the sides were heavy and heavy with flavor. Beautifully appointed, but it took a while to get escorted to our seats- when the restaurant was essentially empty; staff was friendly; the table/sofa arrangement looks lovely but is not conducive to comfortable eating- one side of the table is too far away if you sit back & the pillows propped up at your back don't make for comfortable sitting. In fact, the sofa can cut into your thighs if you sit up close to the table long enough; the food is overpriced and mediocre at best. (Food was bland). No complimentary bread is provided; the menu is limited with few to no "stars" of the show- unless you want steak, I suppose, as they is not what we ordered; the pricing would suggest a high end establishment, however there are many contradictory vibes- servers wear jeans; guests are in shorts and sandals; music is grooving but perhaps a bit louder than necessary. Would have loved to order dessert, but again the offerings seemed less than enticing and again for an exorbitant price - $17 per ! My husband, 4 year old, and I went to Ember & Eagle to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was the perfect location. The property is beautifully maintained and the vibe is very romantic. The food was outstanding even down to something as simple as a caesar salad, my husband was so impressed with it. The staff is amazing. They were so kind to my daughter which is a hit or miss with these types of venues. Often times we find staff to be annoyed by the presence of a young child but they were so sweet. Every staff member we encountered wished us a "Happy Anniversary" and it made us feel so special. Food, service, and atmosphere all 10/10. We will definitely be going back! read more

I personally feel like i've been on a consistently bad restaurant streak. Mostly due to the local social media food critics who have completely lost their way or are just paid to prop up subpar establishments. Trying new restaurants has been tough for me, but when a friend recommended this I wanted to give it a try. Ember and Eagle just broke my bad restaurant streak. Atmosphere 10/10, service 10/10, food 10/10. I have eaten at most of NYCs fine dining establishments. I would put this place next to some of the greats in terms of service and food quality. I know this is just a temporary location but if these guys can produce what they did tonight with limited capabilities imagine what they can do when they open the actual restaurant. party of 4- 6pm on a Friday- dined upstairs for a birthday celebration- really bad initial reception-our party waited 18 minutes after being seated before a waitress came over to take a our drink order and another 10 minutes before the drinks were served- and there was no water on the table until we flagged down the guy presumed to be the manage-unfortunately the sub service continued through out the dinner - not at all in keeping with the exorbitant and truly unjustified prices for the poor quality of food- for example my $120 steak was so full of veins that it was hardly chewable - I took 1/3 of it home for my dog to enjoy- no compensation by the presumed manager- the best was when one of our cocktails (Tito's and club) was served with just a few ice cubes which were mostly gone in a couple of minutes and when asked for more ice the presumed manager brought another full drink instead of the requested additional ice and then attempted to add the new drink as an additional full charge even when the original untouched watered down drink was returned- horrible service - mediocre to inedible food and for this the tab was over $600 for 4 people not including the tip- We will never go back- don't waste your time or money when there are too many other good places to go in our area read more

Cooked right and seasoned correctly. Lobster also very good. Service started very attentive but fell off. Took awhile to get the check and last round of drinks took longer. Espresso was too bitter. Also Espresso martini wasn't made right ..no foam on top. Beans floating just in the liquor. Guess they sat for a while before being served. Very impressed with the service, food and ambience! Charlie the bartender was extremely professional, knowledgeable and gave the perfect amount of interaction with us. Plus the martini was made to perfection for a picky up dry drinker must try items were the coconut hamachi scallops, little gem salad with an incredible amount of Parmesan "snow" topping the crispy lettuce. For a decadent entree the shrimp scampi pasta that had a rich velvety sauce but the hit of lemon made it feel less heavy. Also a must try is the focaccia bread...drooling just thinking about it!
