The Employee's gave me and my guest outstanding customer service and very accommodating even though I had ran a little late and I appreciate that they still took care of me. Big Shout out to Chloe/Hadley!!!!!! I was seated and was properly explained how to make the candles and they had different scents and that was a plus. The service was excellent!!!! and to top it off they gave me a birthday cupcake candle. and one more Thanks to the owners they invited me back and I had a great experience. However, when we arrived, the door was locked and no one appeared to be there. We waited outside for about 20 minutes, trying to contact the business by phone and through their Instagram page, but received no response. Eventually, we left and walked over to McCormick & Schmick's a few blocks away to get drinks and hopefully hear back. After an hour with no update, we decided to stroll around Center City and make the most of our day. Around 5:45 PM, I finally received a call from a staff member who apologized and explained she hadn't seen our messages and she was actually at home at the time. She offered to reschedule us for the next day at 3 PM. We accepted, but since we were still in the area, we called back and asked if we could come "now". She agreed, and we walked back over for a 6PM session. Once there, we were offered wine for purchase and water which we accepted. We got to make two candles each. She walked us through the process and told us to pick out our scents. The music playing added to a fun, laid-back vibe. Despite the earlier miscommunication, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I would definitely consider going again.

On the website, you can decide what experience you would like to have such as their signature candle in which you make two candles, the candle of the month or a cereal bowl candle experience. I chose the signature candle which was 75.00. Once I arrived, I noticed that the shop was cute and creatively decorated. I had the pleasure of meeting my host Becky who was sooo personable and simply Ahmazing! Becky explained how candle making works and discussed the scent bar in which I could choose between earthy, fruity or exotic scents for the candles and you can also select two candle jars. I decided to get a bigger candle jar which was an extra 10.00. Overall i became a chandler and made two beeyutiful candles and Becky gave me healing crystals and the large candle jar free of charge!! I was so grateful and appreciative being as tho It took me along time to accept nice things and blessings from people, I would always block it... but that's another story! Cork and candles!!! Also, this lovely boutique is woman-owned and I love their branding. First, the decor is everything and I wanted everything! I went in a few mins before they closed on a beautiful Sunday evening. The young lady that worked there was very attentive and answered all my crazy questions. I met the owner (I did not know it was her at the time; so down-to-earth and sweet). My experience here was really nice. Ritual Shoppe has mystical items, apothecary (also pink LOL), beautiful fine jewelry, etc. I am definitely looking forward to visiting again and spending more time looking at more of what the shop offers.

It had all things yoga and metaphysical in there and I loved it. From pretty quartz crystals to Tibetan singing bowls to incense, they had everything and anything. I've been wanting to find a shop similar in Philly and this one is like that but on a smaller scale and a bit more high end. I'm sad that they are going to be transitioning to being more of a pop up but I'm glad I still was able to stop by today. Probably not the best idea because I ended up spending more money than I intended to but it's for a good reason/investment into self care and spiritual protection (which I think we could all benefit from). What I appreciated most was how most of the things in there were handcrafted and curated by artisan jewelry makers or small business owners. The selection varies from intentional candles to crystals to rings to bath items but they all held special intentions and purposes like cleansing, healing, protection, etc. It all does seem a bit witchy , but it had good vibes. I don't consider myself to dabble in witchcraft (though I think some people do). I'm more about prayer, goal setting, and self care and spirituality which often gets confused for being withchery or sorcery which is sad, but I think it's how you use those kinds of things. You can tell the store had good vibes and promotes positivity and self care which I'm all about. I believe they are going to use it as a community space and will eventually host workshops which I'm excited about. I'm just really happy I stumbled upon it when I did and that I found some unique items in it. They are on the pricier side but again totally worth it. Investing in your mind and body is important, but your spirit in my opinion needs just as much tending to so I'm glad I was led in this direction.
