This place is located in the center of the Gaylord Resort. So it is loud, moving with excitement, lots of conversations taking place and yet there are various fire places scattered about & chairs facing the Rockies should you care to stare into the abyss and lose yourself for a moment. Service is stellar; outstanding bartenders, made good suggestions, kept abreast of the movement of their bar. Chelsea, our bartender, was top notch! Great food suggestions, when asked to change a drink up, she got it & hit it out of the park. We tried the Tuna nachos - a must folks! From texture to flavor, it hits all the notes. Followed by the lettuce wraps, try one of each, the beef and the mushrooms; they were savory, full of flavor and done to perfection. Probably should've just ate here the entire time after the conference, because it can be bite-size meals after a full day of lectures versus eating a full dinner meal. Either way you can't go wrong. Loved it & if I come back you know where to find me. Too busy enjoying the moment, so few pics as getting lost in the abyss .

Stopped here after dinner for dessert and a drink. The lodge itself is very cozy, especially in the winter, so the general ambiance is great with comfy seating and live music. Our dessert and espresso martini came out fairly quick, and was yummy! The staff at the bar were nice as well.

Great views! Loved the atmosphere, food and drinks, and outdoor area with the fire pits. The duck sliders and chicken dip were really yummy. Would definitely recommend the duck sliders for sure. The whiskey amaro cocktail was also yummy. I had a spicy margarita which was great. I personally prefer smaller salt for the rim. The outdoor area was so awesome. There was also live music that was really nice. Would definitely come back to experience this again for sure!

The hotel is beautiful and great and lots to see, but as I went to see the Grinch Ice Show I had a little time to burn so decided to get a bloody mary at the Embers Lodge Bar. The bartender was not very attentive and when he finally got around to me I ordered the house bloody mary. I guess he used Titos vodka. Anyhow it was a short glass and he charged $26. I have ordered this drink in tons of hotels and airports too and it has never been that expensive. Ridiculous! I wouldn't have ordered if I had known but it was not listed on a menu I could find. That was almost as much as the Grinch Ticket (which was fabulous) but it sure turned me into a Grinch fast. I intended to have lunch afterwards at the Mountain Pass but that was probably going to be a similar experience and expense so I caught the train back to downtown and had a great lunch at the Union Station.

We ended up going back twice, which pretty much says it all. Right off the bat, the person seating us was friendly and quick to acknowledge us, which we appreciated. That said, they could definitely use 1 to 2 more people up front. There's was only one person both days (at least at the beginning of the crowd) managing a lot of tables, so there was a bit of a delay getting seated because they were constantly running back and forth. We went both days right as the crowd was starting, and once seated, everything ran super smoothly. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. I wish I could remember our first server's name. He was from CA and was fantastic. Really attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, the portions were generous, and everything was genuinely delicious. It's rare for us to go back to the same place twice on a trip, but this one earned it. Great sports bar atmosphere, plenty of seating, including outdoor seating, and it would work well for pretty much any sized group. I Highly recommend this spot if you're staying at the Gaylord Rockies or nearby.

I tried drinks and food here several times during my stay and had a consistently good experience. The frozen cocktails are small but refreshing and melt quickly in the sun. My granddaughter had the Chicken Tenders with Fruit and I had a Cheeseburger and Fries. We ordered, paid and they give you a buzzer so you know when your food is ready. The food seemed to take awhile, but was fresh when it arrived. As others mention, the burgers are well done (but mine was moist) and I love the char broiled taste. The rolls are made fresh in-house and delicious. The fries are batter fried and were crisp (I would have like a bit less salt). My granddaughters fruit cup was fresh and amazing with honey dew, cantaloupe and pine apple. The portion of Chicken Tenders were generous. The breading was flavorful and crispy. Kid's meals are only $10 (no drink included). Brittany, our server, was super friendly and prepared cold drinks for us to sip while we waited. There are plenty of clean tables near the pool to sit and eat. All in all, a perfect little lunch and we didn't have to leave the pool.

Our server was delightful as we reviewed the hard cover menus with the cool design that reminded me of "The Wind and the Willows". The pub interior certainly has the wooden aesthetic of a pub, without coming off as an authentic. But this is within the Gaylord Rockies so it does add variety to the options for restaurants and bars available. For my meal, I enjoyed the Whiskey Wings that were fried well and had a lovely sweet glaze with buttermilk ranch for dipping. The picked Fresno peppers were a nice touch as well. However, the food I've had at the bar, at the conference and now at this restaurant have been surprisingly good. I stand corrected on what I expected from the quality of the food. I'll start by saying the service is absolutely incredible. I came in here 35 minutes to closing and was never rushed for hurried along. My server, Haylie, was an absolute gem and was very engaging in conversation. The ambience is definitely Denver meets Lodge meets rustic meets current and is a little shtick but definitely warm and inviting. The pricing is a little bit higher than normal but this is a resort and as far as Resort pricing goes if it's completely normal. Haylie recommended the cottage pie and it did not disappoint. The mashed potatoes or soft and flavorful the slash beef underneath was tender and seasoned well. All in all is really good take on a traditional Shepherd's pie. I understand now why the place gets decent ratings. It seems like it's a really solid meal at decent pricing with impeccable service. Haylie thank you so much for guiding me in the right direction. Would easily come back here

They have a full bar as well as dairy treats, including shakes and malts. They also have breakfast all day and love their pancakes. They also serve barbecue. But I went for the patty melt. And my other half went for breakfast. His breakfast was the mountain man breakfast and was full of meats, eggs hashbrowns, and Ken with pancakes, but he opted for English buffet instead. It also came with a side of toast. It was a very ample breakfast. My patty melt sure did hit the spot. It was a perfectly medium cooked hamburger on rye with cheddar, and Swiss melted with grilled onions and thousand island dressing. Instead of fries, I went for the mashed potatoes and gravy. It was comfort food to the max. My date also got the peanut butter shake. He slurped that down in a hot minute. He said it was wonderful. He offered me a taste at least twice before I noticed it was gone. There's also meatloaf on the menu as well as a pulled pork barbecue Frito pie and they have a Frito pie burger. While it's closer to the airport than Denver proper, it makes it easy to get to for folks coming in for conferences like myself. Bed Bug PSA: I…read morewanted to put this PSA out there for anyone staying at Gaylord Rockies. My family and I started our mini summer vacay there on Saturday May 30 and we woke up to bed bugs in our room Sunday morning. I have been a loyal Marriott member, so I scooped up the bug in a cup with water, brought it to the front desk and assumed since the rooms are over $500 a night that we would be taken care of and treated with dignity and respect. We were not. The manager (Alex) refused to speak to me twice and sent the security manager (Antwan) to deal with me instead. He essentially said I can't be sure it was a bed bug but that he was sure it was a tick from my dog. When I asked for the bug back to consult a pest control professional he lied and said it was sent to their engineer to give to their ecolab team. When I asked them to bring up the engineer and asked him for the bug he was honest and up front that management would not provide it to him. The security manager then had to admit that the disposed of the live bed bug I gave to them. So I brought up a dead one that was on the desk in our room and he crumpled it up in the paper I provided, turned it to dust, and then put the paper and dead bug remains in his pocket. We obviously cut our stay short and left the same day, but I know not everyone has that option. So for any of you staying, please do not make the same mistake I made in trusting the Marriott name. If you find a bed bug, follow these instructions and DO NOT SURRENDER YOUR PROOF BECAUSE THEY WILL DESTROY IT: You are legally entitled to a full refund if a hotel room has bed bugs. Because hotels are required to maintain basic hygiene, most properties will refund your stay rather than risk a bad review, a lawsuit, or a health department investigation. The most effective way to secure a refund and protect yourself involves taking a few critical steps: 1. Gather Immediate Evidence Before moving or unpacking, take clear, well-lit photos and videos of the bugs, your bites, and the mattress seams. If possible, trap a specimen in a sealed bag or container. Without clear proof, staff may mistakenly attribute your bites to mosquitoes or other insects. 2. Secure Your Luggage Bed bugs can easily travel home in your suitcases. Move your bags away from the bed and upholstered furniture, and seal anything that was exposed in plastic bags. 3. Demand a Refund and Relocation Notify management, present your evidence, and demand an immediate, full refund for your room. Request to be moved to a clean room, but do not assume a neighboring room is entirely safe, as infestations often spread. 4. Escalate to Corporate or Dispute the Charge If the local hotel management refuses to issue a refund, contact the corporate customer service line.
