Great atmosphere. The beers are a little expensive but it's definitely no dive bar. They have food trucks outside sometimes and rotating slushies. Free WiFi and weekly events like poker nights and trivia nights. Really cool spot and I suggest you check it out.

Peach whiskey sour which I happily drank all night.

This is a much needed spot in this area. They have a shared parking lot which is sufficient for their needs. Seating is varied, including a nice covered patio when it's warm. They have great food trucks almost every day (again much needed in this area). Check their socials for the schedule. They have knowledgeable, helpful bartenders who can make a cocktail (a real one), or direct you on their current craft beer offerings. They even get coveted beer drops from some of your fav breweries! They have a large selection of whiskeys also. Since it's only just over 5 min from my house, you can bet I will be back.

Had a great time at the Pour Tap House. We stopped by on Tuesday and found out they have Trivia at 7pm. Lots of beer and cocktail options as well as tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Food trucks are scheduled to be there and probably have a schedule up on their website.

What a fun place to hang out. Everyone is friendly. They always have top selections on beer they tap.

Super awesome place to hang out. They always have a good selection on beers that they bring in. The manager Matt is super knowledgeable on the top beers that he brings in.

    Opening day!

Pour never disappoints. We've been going since opening day and haven't stopped. Always lots of beers to choose from, and now they have a very nice whiskey/bourbon selection, along with many tasty mixed drinks. Staff is friendly and music bingo on Thursday is so fun! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

A Denver Gem: State House (Commerce City) If you find…read moreyourself near the northern edge of Denver, State House in Commerce City is an absolute must-visit. It has that perfect "rustic-chic" Colorado vibe--warm, wood-accented, and welcoming--making it just as good for a casual lunch as it is for a weekend dinner. The Burger Battle * Bison Burger: This was the star of the show. It's lean but incredibly juicy, with a deep, rich flavor that puts standard beef to shame. * Pro Tip: Pairing it with the tomato bisque instead of fries was a game-changer. The soup was creamy, vibrant, and had a slight sweetness that cut through the richness of the bison perfectly. * Pub Burger: A classic done right. Two patties, perfectly seared, with a side dijonnaise that adds just the right amount of kick. It's everything a pub burger should be--messy in the best way possible. The side garden salad was surprisingly fresh and crisp, providing a nice light balance to the heavy-hitter burger. The Atmosphere & Service The space is beautiful--modern design meets local charm. We were particularly impressed by the service; the staff was attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they take pride in the locally sourced ingredients they're serving. The Verdict Whether you're a fan of wild game like the bison or you just want a solid, high-quality cheeseburger, State House hits the mark. It's rare to find a place where the "side" soup is just as memorable as the main course, but that tomato bisque is worth the trip alone. I'll definitely be back for another round of that bison burger!

Reclaimed metal sheet walls, concrete floor, a nice looking bar and good 80s/90s music piping in. The menu offers many taco options, which you purchase a la carte. It was better than the sushi I have had at a sushi restaurant since moving here to CO. Nice Asian sauce with sesame seeds throughout. Super good. It's light, though. It is in a butter lettuce "taco shell", but honestly I think putting it in a true corn or flour tortilla just would not mesh well. The service was very very pleasant and attentive. We even had to move a couple times because our party number kept changing, and she was as pleasant as can be. I look forward to heading back and trying something else. Our server was delightful as we reviewed the hard cover menus with the cool design that reminded me of "The Wind and the Willows". My server, Haylie, was an absolute gem and was very engaging in conversation. The ambience is definitely Denver meets Lodge meets rustic meets current and is a little shtick but definitely warm and inviting. The pricing is a little bit higher than normal but this is a resort and as far as Resort pricing goes if it's completely normal. Haylie recommended the cottage pie and it did not disappoint. The mashed potatoes or soft and flavorful the slash beef underneath was tender and seasoned well. All in all is really good take on a traditional Shepherd's pie. I dined here recently for a bougie meal with a few work colleagues. It's an upscale restaurant, an homage to the steakhouses of yesteryear, yet modern and refined. For a Monday night the place was popping! Being with other colleagues, I was comfortable having a few others make the decisions. We landed on oysters as an appetizer and these were great. Being landlocked we always get the eye roll when they say the oysters are fresh...to their credit, they brought us a nice selection of East Coast and West Coast oysters that I found to be quite tasty! One of the best parts of dining at Old Hickory is their bread and butter. Like woah, it shouldn't be this good! Soft rolls and decadent butter, it's tough to beat a tried and true combination like this. Sides are a la carte like most steakhouses, maybe one day they'll change this! We ordered a few for the table. These were lacking in my humble opinion, the potatoes and brussels were just okay. They do provide a nice sized portion, and a single side can feed 2-3 people. Back to the good, a colleague and I shared the 24 oz. Bone In Ribeye. Now we're talking!!! This was cooked to a lovely medium rare, and loaded with flavor. Ribeyes are obviously one of the superior cuts of meat for a reason, this was buttery, rich, and damn delicious. I was stuffed, but we tried two desserts. I only had a bite of each, and these were presented beautifully and both great. I have to give a shoutout to our server, who took great care of us, made wine recommendations, and seemed genuinely happy to be taking care of us. The lobster bisque was delicious, the Caesar salad with anchovies was excellent, and the steak was cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the baked potato initially, although the inside became quite dry after the top layer. For a steakhouse charging premium prices, I expected a more upscale and elegant dining experience. The lack of tablecloths and the overall ambiance made it feel less luxurious and refined than I anticipated. The service was wonderful! We had a server that knew the menu and made great recommendations. A great steakhouse experience is about more than just the food. It's also about the setting, presentation, and feeling of occasion. While the meal had several highlights, I wish the restaurant's atmosphere better matched the pricing and quality of the cuisine.
