Ember does a fairly good job at nails and is very good at waxing services-I will give her that. However, upon walking in, you feel surrounded by a negative energy. It's just not a happy place. Every employee has a long face and just seems miserable. That's the last thing I want to be around after a long hard day at work. Getting your nails done should be a very relaxing experience and in my opinion, it is not here. Ember can be very moody and snaps at her clients which is totally unacceptable. Paying clients who have treated her with the utmost respect over the years should not be subject to this type of behavior. Nobody should! Sad to say, my long standing relationship with her has been forever severed. Found a great Vietnamese gal closer to my home. She is very nice and friendly and a breath of fresh air! read more

I have been a customer of Ember's for over 5 years. After making appointments and having to wait while she took walk-ins right before my appointment, I can honestly say I am done! What's the point of having an appointment if you have to wait for over 30 minutes each time you arrive on time? I have referred many customers to Ember.... No more. I have been getting my nails done at Ember's for three years now and all I can say is that the job here is great! Everyone that I have ever referred Ember to have loved it. Although it is pricey it is definitely worth it! I used to get my nails done elsewhere and I had to get them done twice a month. At Ember's I get a manicure, with gel, and my real nails which last me a whole month. They do an excellent job! read more

I stopped in to have a nail fixed that was cracking and Kathy did a marvelous job. I made an appointment for the following week for Mani/Pedi. When I showed up they said she had left after a few days on the job. The salon is clean, but it is staffed by people who don't speak english very well and don't take your number so they can call you. read more

Ember's Nails is the only place I will go to get my pedi...she is always accommodating (I text her ahead of time and she tells me the best time to come in), I rarely have to wait, the service is great, and my pedis last forever!!! I drive all the way down from North County to have my nails done here and have been doing so for almost 10 yrs! Even my husband tags along once in a while! Highly recommend! read more

I downgraded my services here & I received a downgrade from the owner concerning attitude & friendliness. If a customer chooses lower priced services for ANY reason it should not be an issue. When I decided to do this, Ember took on a totally different attitude with me. She talked around me & would not speak to me or greet me as I came & went like she did her other customers. She also started talking & laughing in her native tongue amongst her other technicians shortly after they completed my nail job or after I communicated with one of them. After I noticed this happening over a decent period of time, I decided to take my money & business elsewhere. You'd think that a business owner would be appreciative of just having regular customers but that's not the case. In fact, many nail shop owners have treated me in the same manner & like to haggle over MY money. When owners value money more than good, solid business relationships, I stop messing with them. I am much happier at my new nail shop. If you don't care much about service & quality is #1 then you'll be ok here. Their work is meticulous despite of them being money hungry. read more

Everytime I go to Embers nails I make and appointment but when I show up on time I have to wait around 20 minutes or so before I even get to the pedi chair. Once seated they leave u soaking and waiting for another 20 to 30 minutes and water has gone cold. The staff is not friendly and they rush the service. There is no respect for the client and no pampering what so ever. I will not be returning to this place ever. Not to menchon the last time I was there they cut my cuticles to short and made them bleed. I am a very unsatisfied customer. I do not recommend. read more

I have been going to Ember for about a little over 6 months now and every time seems the same but last night I just had enough. I know going 6 months and finally going to stop is a long time, but one last experience was it for me. Don't get me wrong, Ember is wonderful at what she does, but there is a fine line with first come first serve and "I have an appointment" when girls we really know she does not take appointments. She just texts you to come in and when you text her when you are going to be there, no matter what, she is going to say okay come. She DOES NOT like turning down business even if people wait forever. Ember texted me two weeks ago asking when I will be in for my nails and I told her two weeks. Then the next week she texted again telling me to come in and I told her once again in a week so I can bring my sister for her birthday present and right before my vacation. Finally, on the day of us going there, I texted Ember letting her know we will be there at 5:15pm that Tuesday. We get there and it was not very busy but we did wait for about 15 minutes before they took us. We are finally getting our toes worked on after about 40 minutes of being there and there were only 3 other people getting service done too. THREE HOURS LATER.... we are finally done. YES!!! After getting there around 5:15pm, we are finally out of there around 8:30pm. I have never been at a nail place for so long! They forgot about my sister even after reminding Ember and Ember said I am not doing her and made her wait until one of her employee's were done on another girl. I asked Ember two weeks before how much a GEL mani/pedi would be and she told me $45. I ended up walking out of there paying way too much! Let's say almost $200 for two people to get their nails done is ridiculous. I am so unhappy with how loyal I have been with Ember and she treats me just like a regular customer that comes in and gets shewed away. I will not longer be going here which I know won't hurt her business and don't want it too. I just want everyone that plans on going here to understand that if you are a walk in, she will make you wait if there are already people getting worked on and she won't focus any time on you or caring for your nails. Forgot to mention that she didn't even massage my hands or take the cuticles off or clean them what so ever for how much I paid. I soaked my hands in warm water and then she started the gel. And my nails are a resemblance of a man working on cars for a living. They are plain horrible and just wasn't please when I'm going on vacation this week too. I hope this review sparks your brain into going somewhere else like OhhLaLa Nails down the way. Again, Ember usually does a great job (when it is not busy) but start hiring more girls if you can't handle being busy and accepting everyone. I would recommend never going to this nail salon. I had the worst experience there. The people that work there are so rude. So I walked in and she told me that it would only be a 15 minute wait and i ended up waiting about 40 minutes. I wasn't that upset about it but little did I know there was more to come. So I sit down in the chair and she puts my feet into the water and she goes and does something else for about 20 minutes while I'm waiting to get my foot massage and toes painted. She finally comes back and she massages my legs and does all that stuff that any normal nail salon would do. Then she starts to cut my cuticles. She starts on my big toe and rips a huge piece of my cuticle off and I start bleeding and it hurt a lot. Then she gets this green medicine and puts it in the cut and it burns so much. After the pedicure the girl that I went with was telling me how badly the chick cut her foot while she was cutting her cuticles. So I don't know if their employees are trained to cut their customers. Anyways then she does the rest and is about to start painting my toes and she pulls out this green nail polish and I'm say " oh sorry, but can I get a French tip?" and she puts down the green nail polish and picks up the white nail polish. All of the other employees start laughing. I was so confused. I was like oh well maybe they're just like "oh all white girls get French tip" but it was just an awful experience overall and I will never EVER go back to this salon. read more
