I only went to this place because I heard good reviews as well as it's the closest to my home. So I walked in having high hopes, and I even brought up a reference picture. After checking in for my appointment for a gel-x fill, I went to go see my nail tech and I went to say hello but she didn't say hello back. Whatever. So then I showed her my reference photo and I want all white. Now I understand if I couldn't see the flowers if it's the same white nail color, which is why she suggested a different color that I didn't even ask. Not even like a white purple/blue color just so we can see the flowers better. Also, I know I should've spoken up more, which I had three times that I want to be a classic white French tip with daisies. But she insisted on using a shade of purple that I didn't even ask for. But not only that, but I feel like she couldn't speak English fluently because half of the time she was speaking to me in full Vietnamese, which I had a hard time communicating. I honestly felt a bit peer pressure to have a nail design that I didn't exactly ask for and that's what I'm very disappointed in. When my nails were done, she then prompted me to go wash my hands, but never told me where it's at or didn't even point where the sink was so I had to ask another employee to find the sink. Now I don't mind the nails design itself if it was done better, even though I have spent $65 on it and honestly during the whole appointment I kind of felt uncomfortable even though I did speak up, but just not enough then I should have, but it also doesn't look like the picture I wanted it. I'm pretty disappointed with my appointment and I will not be coming back unless I have another nail tech who I'm pretty sure will do my nails more nicely design wise. This is why communication is very important during any nail appointment and I thought I have communicated my needs, but I guess it wasn't enough to the point where I was peer pressured to do a nail design that I don't even want.

I am ridiculously picky and was really frustrated by all of the 'pump and dump' nail salons out there. I may have just made up that term but most places do a super half-assed job in express mode. Well, I work with my hands and whatever I pay for a manicure...it needs to last. I was ecstatic to connect with Sing. Her level of detail was/is unparalleled. At the time I was only tending to my nails very sporadically. When I called to schedule an appointment I learned that she had opened her own place in Spring Valley. It's a farther drive for me but 100% worth it. Since finding Sing I will not go to any other studio regardless of price or convenience of location. In the last few years I have also become equally comfortable with Marie. These two ladies are 100% legit with their craft. Schedule an appointment.

Sing Sing is usually my "go-to" nail tech and she somehow always manages to get my nails to last long! Other places I've been to, my gel polishes tend to just peel right off in just about a week.

I get my lashes done by Christina and will never let anyone else touch my lashes!!!…read more She is super knowledgeable about properly applying lashes, even to the point where she'll be real with you about the length you're asking for and the extension that will realistically be maintainable and able to hold on your personal eyes. Christina also alternates between applying lash fans from eye to eye in case of emergency situations, i.e. if you ever have to run out of an appt early - you'll at least have both eyes partially filled. And also to prevent the glue from extensions sticking to each other - this will hinder your natural lash growth and prevent styes from developing (all of which Christina educated me about!) Christina is super big on hygiene and cleanliness before/during/after services - she hand sanitizes prior, if she ever has to run to the restroom (which she will literally put off to avoid leaving you alone on the table), and after each client. After the service, although I'm not a new client, she always reminds me to not get my lashes wet for the next 24 hours. Christina is definitely a hard worker, perfectionist, and is willing to fix anything you're unhappy with! Aside from her service, she is super nice and remembers previous conversations we've had, which makes every time I get a fill feel more personable. The best lash artist :-) Attached are some of my fills I've taken boomerangs of. I ask for natural shape with hybrid set (1:1 lash extensions mixed with 3-4:1 extension fans). She also has VIP stamp cards that include rewards!
