10/10 Love this spot! The ladies here are super sweet and always on it--line moves fast and smooth. It's a small place but packed with great options, even a kids menu and açai bowls! My go-to is the Banana Berry Crunch bowl--so light, refreshing, not to sweet at all. It's the perfect post-workout pick-me-up. If I'm not super hungry, I grab the Guava Sunrise smoothie... tastes like a tropical vacation in a cup without the guilt. It's healthy & tasty I'm super Obsessed. My kids love it too. I've been to a lot of smoothie places, and I really don't like having to give a negative review, but I was there after working out and ordered the Lean Body smoothie. I found that it had I fake taste to it, very artificial. Also, it just seemed to have a couple of ingredients-it just wasn't what I expected. the price was reasonable, but the smoothie itself was just not good. The young women behind the counter were nice, but at the same time they weren't all that helpful. The place is clean, great location at Evergreen Walk in the section where LL Bean is located. One note: the place for me was hard to find. There needs to be a sign visible from the parking lot-now there's one that just isn't that easy to see. read more

I love a good açaí bowl. I recently got one at Emerald City Smoothie in South Windsor. This is a smoothie shop mostly, they also have a small selection of açaí bowls. The shop it's self, is very basic, there isn't much aesthetic to it at all. They've also eliminated all of their indoor seating. There is one table outside where you can sit. I got the Health Nut açaí bowl. The base is made of açaí, strawberries, blueberries and banana. Topped with plenty of granola, dry goji berries, almonds, and sweetened with agave nectar. This is a great choice for a hot day! The açaí is so cool and refreshing, and the size was perfect for my friend and I to share. It was a bit sweeter then I'd like, I could probably do without the added agave. It's filling with no questionable ingredients. I enjoyed it a lot. Everything was fresh and a great blend together. While this smoothie place doesn't look very inviting, they make an excellent and healthy açaí bowl. I'd for sure get it again. read more

I ordered an Acai Bowl but what I received was a smoothie in a plastic container that should be used for SOLID foods (cakes, pies, cookies), nothing liquid based. Needless to say it melted all over both myself and the interior of my car and I literally live 5 minutes away. I'm not sure why the change was made from using actual bowls but it's definitely not beneficial to the customer. The container holds a much smaller portion than what you used to provide but your prices haven't lowered, the Acai melts RAPIDLY and the container leaks profusely! I've been supporting the business since you've opened and have never had any issues until now so I hope my complaint isn't falling upon deaf ears...... read more

My favorite smoothie is the "emerald" its a mix of greens n fruits so delicious! Have tried a couple of other smoothies, each one of them is so different with the flavors. Usually come here to grab an Emerald Smoothie; 32 oz. with PB to add to it for about $9. Large size that pretty much fills me up for a couple hours through work. Located in Evergreen Walk, you know that you are going to be paying for what you want. I haven't tried anything on the menu but they have a large selection of different options and drinks. Tucked away near the LL Bean store this cute lil smoothie shop is great! My friend's nephew wanted something sweet so instead of ice cream we came here. The shop was busy as it was a gorgeous day for winter in New England. I was shocked how many smoothies they offered for children. I had the nutty banana which was like amazing! I am a peanut butter freak so anything with peanut butter this girl is down! I would be here on the regular if I lived closer. I've been coming to Emerald since 2013 (think that's when they opened), and their shakes are so yummy especially after the gym. I usually get the rejuvinator and any other flavor that has banana in it. The reason why I'm only giving them 3 stars is their customer service is horrendous. No matter how pleasant you are as a customer, the workers are so rude. Think I've encountered one nice person ever. I don't go there as often anymore but it's worthwhile minus the service. read more

I hotfooted over there to be served by "Dara" (total sweetie) who explained all the drinks and what her favs were. This is my go-to place for smoothies in the area! The smoothies are delicious and there are tons of variety. This place also has drinks categorized by wellness goals so you can choose your beverage accordingly (e.g.; "Help me lose weight", "Bulk Me Up", etc.). Moreover, the smoothies can have ingredients for certain occasions (e.g.; if you just worked out, one should get a drink that has the "Recovery" supplement in it). The smoothies are also made very quickly so after ordering, there is hardly any wait at all. So far, I have tried the "Energizer", the "Orange Twister", the "Fruity Supreme", and the "Rejuvinator". As a Strawberry & Banana lover, the "Energizer", "Fruity Supreme", and "Rejuvinator" were delicious. The "Energizer" and "Fruity Supreme" taste *very* similar, except the most obvious difference in taste are the supplements they add in "The Energizer". In particular, the "Rejuvinator" has the supplement "Recovery" in it, which adds a distinct (yet yummy) taste to the smoothie. The "Orange Twister" definitely tastes orange juice in frozen/slushy form since it does not have milk in it. I recommend this place to anyone in the area craving a delicious smoothie! read more

I'm going to preface with this review with the following: I understand this was my fault and the people working there had no obligation to make another bowl free of charge. With that being said....I came in and ordered an açaí bowl, it was pouring rain so once I left the door I started running to the store I work at in the same plaza, as I was running I hit a corner of the wall and dropped the bowl and everything splattered on the concrete. I went back in a few moments later, dripping wet and bleeding, and explained what happened, I waited in line again, and was charged again for the açaí bowl. Like I said, I'm aware they are under no obligation to give me another one free of charge, and it was not their fault. I've worked in retail/the food industry for a long time and everywhere I've worked it's always been customer focused, "how do I turn this customer into a returning customer?" I know it wasn't their fault but from a business standpoint it left a really bad taste in my mouth and unfortunately will probably not be ordering from them again. I work in the same plaza and visit at least once a week so it's a shame. read more

I love coming here after my workouts at Orange Theory up the road. They have convenient hours to accommodate those who workout after work. I really love the Island Breeze smoothie and they had a hocus pocus Halloween smoothie that was super tasty. They offer a lot of varieties of flavors and nutrition options. I have a nut allergy and they have always catered to my needs. I do wish they listed their nutrition info for the açaí bowls. I really want to try them but have no idea of how much protein, calories, sugar, fiber, and carbs they contain. The website doesn't offer this info and the employees do not know (I asked). Came here before Planet Fitness for a smoothie (needed an energy boost). I ordered the Vegan Berry Blast and was pleasantly surprised. It contained no dairy or added sugar, but was incredibly sweet. They added flaxseeds and some other goodness to make it a healthy, satiating, but tasty treat. A little pricey, but not sure you could make something like what I ordered at home for that much cheaper, honestly. And who wants to clean a blender? What a pain! There was a really weird smell here when we stopped in. I'm not sure what it was. Like they were drowning in some kind of cleaner to cover up some other smell? Not really sure. Another reviewer mentioned the smell. I think they ought to do something about that. I wasn't impressed with the customer service -- maybe they just couldn't hear me over the blenders? The seating in the place was pretty awkward, honestly. It is currently set up to allow two groups of about four people to sit, but I think it could be rearranged (with different chairs/booths) to permit four groups of two people, which would be better. As the weather gets better, you can head right around the corner to sip your smoothie in the sun on some seating around a cute fountain though so there's that. I plan to return. There aren't many places where I can get a healthy dairy and caffeine free smoothie in Manchester. read more

This place is a new addition to Evergreen Walk, over by LL Bean. I must say, it was not what I expected, although that's not a bad thing. Emerald City is very much a must-visit for health nuts. When you enter, you are immediately greeted by displays of protein bars and mixes, as well as energy supplements. The smoothy menu displays not only ingredients for each smoothy, but also the calorie and protein totals for each one. The smoothies are divided by health category: some are low-calorie, some are high protein (and higher calorie), and some are in between. As for the smoothies, they have a good taste and consistency. They're better than your normal gym smoothies. The chocolate flavors are especially good. Overall, this is a healthy option if you're in the area and don't want to deal with the guilt of Sonic or Johnny Rockets. read more

My boyfriend and I were craving a smoothie and stopped by after running errands. We walked in and almost walked out. The place smelt like dog poop. I could not pinpoint why it smelled so awful, but it did. I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to leave and we decided to just get the smoothies and leave. He ordered the Just Peachy smoothie. This had peach, papaya, strawberry, nonfat milk, protein in it. The smoothie was refreshing and completely satisfying. I ordered the Pineapple Bliss smoothie containing pineapple, banana, orange, papaya, and Protein. This smoothie was not good at all. It tasted like soured pineapple. The service was basic, nothing to rave about, nothing unpleasant. Little pricey for a small smoothie ($5). I have been to Emerald City Smoothie many times before and it has never smelled so bad. Possibly, there was an issue they were working on? Therefore, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. If it keeps smelling like this during future visits I will not be heading back. read more

This is the third time I've been to this store, because the smoothies are good, however, each time I have gone, I've been disappointed with the lack of customer service. Usually, the two young women who are working there think they're doing you a favor by selling you a smoothie. No greeting, no smile, no thank you, just order you brusquely to sign the charge slip. Not sure how busy this place gets, but I'm sure there is enough time to empty the overflowing garbage can next to the pick up area, and clean the very few tables they have. I was shopping at Evergreen Walk and I was looking for a snack and I wanted something healthy. There are a couple of restaurants but nothing that sells snack type food. I saw Emerald City Smoothie and thought I'd give it a try. I'm not a smoothie guy and I didn't even know if it would be low calorie or not. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the menu. There were a lot of options and the calories were listed. I decided on the Energizer since my shredded wheat breakfast at 8:00 AM wasn't cutting it. The Energizer had strawberry, banana, whey protein and some other energizing stuff in it. I had a 24 oz. size for $5.25. It was plenty and it was very good. Best of all I felt energized and satisfied. I think I'll add smoothies to my healthy eating menu! read more
