I went here with my boyfriend and his extended family - our group of 13 (ages across 3 generations)…read moreeasily spent almost 2 hours here and we golfed pretty efficiently! This course was one of the most enjoyable and scenic courses I've ever had the pleasure of playing at. Many of these holes were creative and doable as well. And during one of the holes where there's a chance your putt putt ball can fall into the water, there's a grate to catch it. The prices are pretty great, at $14/person for the first round and only $6/person for the second round (for golf at least). The only thing we could really give feedback on was that the train was broken at the time, but they were communicative with us about it and it didn't affect how much we could play. We could still easily access the upper levels of the course just fine, and even our elderly players walked up the steps and slopes fine as well. Some of the "mineshaft" looking areas were pretty warm and stuffing (just a warning!), though. Overall, it's a really enjoyable and nice place to go to with groups. It's one of the larger activity-based attractions on the island, so depending on when you go, it can get quite busy. The ambiance was lively, though, and it drizzled a bit (I like a little rain). They also had go-kart raceways and water boats, too! We'll definitely be coming back to enjoy all the activities in its entirety :)

We tried their go-karts, bumper boats, and 18 hole mini golf course. We go-karted first. I couldn't hear any of the instructions and had to come back to get a back seat to be able to drive better (I highly recommend getting the extra back cushion if you're on the shorter side). It's a very short course, so the laps get repetitive, but we still had fun. We tried the bumper boats next. I didn't enjoy this one as much because my boat's motor was broken and I couldn't move, so I got stuck in corners if people didn't bump me. I did enjoy spraying my family friends though. The mini-golf here is harder than it looks! We had a great time trying all the different courses. Some things felt in need of love or an update, but this didn't take away from the mini-golf experience. Overall, we had a fun evening here.

Also a separate room with a large full service bar ( lots of craft beers!) and LOTS of TVS to catch some sports. Outside: mini golf, golf driving range, huge jungle gym, and go-karts. This review is for our one visit, but I know we'll be back when we are out east again! Had so much fun!! I felt like a kid at Chuck E Cheese's again (only without the creepy characters or crappy pizza). First off, walking in the door, I see a large Hungry Hungry Hippo game, one that we can sit on and control. I'm in. I'm ALL in!! But first, we went bowling. The bowling alleys are nicely kept, clean and updated. Shoes aren't nasty either. The fun display for the scoreboard kept me entertained, be sure and watch the cartoon pins egging you on. Loved it, and I didn't do half bad either! (I guess my Wii bowling has sharpened my skills? haha!) So after an hour of bowling we headed over to check out the rest of the games. There's Daytona racing where you can race each other from your own individual game/screen, there are all sorts of claw prize games and carnival style games, skee ball, air hockey, digital hunting, pinball, basketball, I mean so many games!! And, fortunately, there are no tokens here, instead you purchase a debit type card that is re-loadable and doesn't expire. You just take your game cards to the prize counter and pick you poison. Then keep the card for next time or give it to someone. Besides bowling and games, you can also go into the sports bar and grab some grub! Soups, salads, sliders, pizza, and so on. And this is not typical bowling alley food, it's a bit nicer than that. Compliment your food with some beer or wine and top it all off with dessert! Most main menu items are $10-15. Outside there is a mini golf course (Golfin' Dolphin), driving range, Go-Karts, and a Sky Trail to climb, swing, and explore. We didn't want to leave! But we didn't say good bye, instead just see you next time. CHEERS!!!

This little park was not something that I expected to see in this area but when you think about it,…read morethe idea is very smart and really serves a purpose for both tourists and locals. The below page from AB's website shows that this place is only two years old and that its $1.6 million dollar cost was done as a public/private partnership. I've been to many beaches up & down the east coast and I honestly can't think of an area that has something quite like this. atlanticbeach-nc.com/departments/parks-recreation/ ABTP offers the following: Free live music on Thursday nights from mid-June thru August. Free family friendly movies (with the exception of them showing Jaws last month which was an interesting choice with the shark attack that happened in June at Fort Macon) on Wednesday nights June thru August. Skate Park Splashpad Playground/swingset Basketball Court Minigolf for $5 per person and it's free for ages 6 and under The main building which sells snacks & concessions and has restrooms along with free Wifi. The concession area and the golf are open 10-10 daily and it goes without saying that they are closed along with things like the splashpad seasonally. Compared with beaches in New Jersey or Maryland, Atlantic Beach is very understated in the amenities that it offers but I don't think that is necessarily a detriment. If you want all the bells and whistles it's not that much further to go to Myrtle or head north to KDH or OCMD and you'll find what you're looking for. But if you want quiet and relaxed with a very nice small town "homey" feeling then this is the spot you want. A+

I dropped them off in the sand and headed for the sweet concrete love of a Team Pain park. Ledges, gaps, stairs, and goodies for skaters of all skill levels. I'd definitely come back. If the fam won't skate next time, there's a putt putt course just feet away. It's also right around the corner from Finch's Skate Shop, which I was lucky enough to find while we're here. Kudos to the good folks of Atlantic Beach for giving locals and tourists a solid skate spot.
