We were visiting family in Jacksonville and they wanted to take us to Mac Daddy's, we were not disappointed!! This review is for our one visit, but I know we'll be back when we are out east again! Had so much fun!! I felt like a kid at Chuck E Cheese's again (only without the creepy characters or crappy pizza). First off, walking in the door, I see a large Hungry Hungry Hippo game, one that we can sit on and control. I'm in. I'm ALL in!! But first, we went bowling. The bowling alleys are nicely kept, clean and updated. Shoes aren't nasty either. The fun display for the scoreboard kept me entertained, be sure and watch the cartoon pins egging you on. Loved it, and I didn't do half bad either! (I guess my Wii bowling has sharpened my skills? haha!) So after an hour of bowling we headed over to check out the rest of the games. There's Daytona racing where you can race each other from your own individual game/screen, there are all sorts of claw prize games and carnival style games, skee ball, air hockey, digital hunting, pinball, basketball, I mean so many games!! And, fortunately, there are no tokens here, instead you purchase a debit type card that is re-loadable and doesn't expire. You just take your game cards to the prize counter and pick you poison. Then keep the card for next time or give it to someone. Besides bowling and games, you can also go into the sports bar and grab some grub! Soups, salads, sliders, pizza, and so on. And this is not typical bowling alley food, it's a bit nicer than that. Compliment your food with some beer or wine and top it all off with dessert! Most main menu items are $10-15. Outside there is a mini golf course (Golfin' Dolphin), driving range, Go-Karts, and a Sky Trail to climb, swing, and explore. We didn't want to leave! My friend was food poisoned by the wings and my husband and I ate the pizza and that was not good either. Flavorless and have been gassy for the last 12 hours since eating it. We used the bowling lanes and sure enough did they squeeze everything together to fit as many lanes in there as possible. Not a comfortable experience at all. read more

MacDaddy's was such a good time ! If you know me, I love karaoke, arcades and entertainment centers. I'm a 80's baby and 90's kid to the core. Cape Carteret is an adorable beach town 30 minutes from Jacksonville. A smooth drive on 24. The staff was excellent and this place has a little bit of something for everyone. I visited with my daughter who is 11 and my mom whose almost 70. My daughter and I enjoyed the arcade games and go karts, my mother and I really loved karaoke night. We arrived around 730 and stayed until 9:45. All the arcade games were new and worked. We always enjoy kung fu panda and basketball. My daughter took home some goodies as prizes. The staff at the Go Karts were patient, kind and respectful. We stayed late and had the whole go kart course to ourselves. My daughter is new to go karts so this was great. We had a blast. My mom and I spent time at the Sports Grill enjoying Tuesday's karaoke night and a few beers. Always ask for what the specials of the day are. Karaoke happens every Tuesday 6-9 pm with Taco Tuesday and $4 Modelo beer. There was a lot of talent in the building and a wide range of age groups and nationalities. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. My daughter enjoyed the sports grill eats. She ordered a shrimp burger, onions rings and my mom and I had the $4 model bottle special. Service was excellent and the quality of the food was good for the price. This place features bowling, arcade, billiards, go karts and an obstacle course. So much here for all ages to enjoy. Could be such a great place. Food is mid at best. Very hit and miss, more on the miss side. Service...occasionally. Bowling is always fun, but here, you pay by the hour and when the equipment seems run down and breaks 3 or 4 times in that hour, you don't get much bowing for your buck. I love Mac Daddy's. The arcade has so many games to choose from you'll never get bored. My favorite arcade game of all time is the Jurassic Park game. I'm so happy that Mac Daddy's has it! Mini golf is fun too! The course feels pretty long but in a good way! I felt like we definitely got our moneys worth! We had an amazing time here. My band was playing their labor day show. But we got food and drinks, and they were delicious. The atmosphere there was also really laid back. Used to be good, but arcade machines are either not maintained or seemingly purposely made to scam you. Don't play the Star Wars Battle Pod. The screen projector is blurry and seemingly overheating, as there is about a 2 or 3 second delay between actions registering on the screen, and you can't even make out what you're supposed to be shooting at, or even read text. The buck hunting/terminator game seemingly only needs one swipe, but in order to play the terminator mode, you have to swipe two more times, or in my case, three as it made me do, which is a total of $2×4 And then there's the Fast & Furious game. It autoselects a "booster" and hardly gives you enough time to decline it, forcing you to pony over another swipe, which the game itself costs $2.50. In the past, I've had lots of fun at Mac Daddy's, but when half of your card's value is used up by scummy tactics, and the games themselves aren't maintained, it just isn't fun. read more

We had around 12 minutes left and had accidentally gotten a ball stuck in the lane. Thankfully and very kind staff member (Sarah) got someone in the back to get our ball unstuck. Unfortunately, the man getting the ball unstuck had the worst attitude ever. Oookay they've got a bowling alley, they've got arcades and games, pool tables, they've got batting cage, a putt putt course, a obstacle course in the back and go karts. There is also a snack bar, a bar where they serve beer and a little restaurant with food other than pizza. I think I've named them all. It's a really fun place to bring family and friends. There are party rooms here too so you can host birthdays and such. If you don't mind crowds (it gets a little crowded where all the games are) then you will enjoy the place. read more

My husband and I had a date night here. This place provides a lot of entertainment! Bowling, arcade, go karts, batting cages, and I think golfing. This place was very clean! Which I was very impressed. Very big space. They have a ton of parking spots, so don't be too worry when it gets too busy. We tried the food there and did not like it. So I wouldn't go there to eat. Just go to have fun! Maybe have a beer or two and just relax. Definitely great for groups! I believe they do have party rooms you can reserve. Overall a good experience until the end of the night we got a bowling ball stuck in our lane on accident and then Tyler, a maintenance worker, got our ball unstuck and then proceeded to tell my friend, on his birthday, to "get the fuck out". The three employees at your gocart section, Thursday June 17th at 7:30, refused to serve us, answer questions, and left us unattended at the register. They were sat next to the tracts, heard us ask several questions and only turned to nod at us once. We waited but after 10 minutes left alone, only one of the three girls got up, JUST to answer the phone. They had purses, bags, and merchandise unattended as well. The first hours inside were great, everyone was kind and we were patient with the staff and understand how difficult it can be while understaffed. Inside was clean, and went well. After the go cart thing, my friends and I decided to leave and drive 20 minutes away to Lost Treasures Golf and Raceway to go cart. The best thing about this place is the self service options. Communicating with the staff about anything is like pulling teeth. Almost everyone I talked to last night had an attitude. My husband and I went to go fill our fountain drinks and two servers were chatting while one was filling up her pitchers. The other immediately cut us in line, looked in our direction and proceeded to fill all of her pitchers while we stood there with our empty cups. This entire experience was shameful to say the least. Had a party of 14 no one was accommodating or understanding. We were immediately brushed off when we walked in the door, staff was rude to say the least. From having personal conversations with each other while we're paying to them flat out ignore us. They expected children to fill out their own paperwork for their "Sky-Trail" and became visibly upset when parents attempted to help them. Their 18 hole put-put was half ripped up, no fake grass, and some holes are messy/sticky. Most the putters were beaten up and battered. Staff was not friendly at all. When my friends and I in we saw a sign that stated staff was low. We understood the situation, because we all work in costumer service. The people by the games and the bowling were very nice and kept things very clean and sanitized. We saw there was a place to ride go carts and were so excited. Went to the go carts and waiting for 10 mins and saw 3 girls sitting and watching the go carts. We asked them questions only be ignored blown off and they looked like we were inconveniencing them. They wouldn't get up for us to pay to ride, but they did get up to answer a phone. There was a guy that was walking around the carts that were parked and going behind the desk that wasn't in uniform and possibly did not work there. There was purses and merchandise behind the desk as well and they had the door open for anyone to just waltz in and steal something. We usually enjoy going to Mac Daddy's and I had never had a bad experience there until last night. We got there around 8pm we were a group of 6. We got our bowling lane fairly quickly. We were trying to grab a servers attention so we could order some food and beer and it over took 40 mins to get some one to come to us. We clicked the service button and the screen kept saying looking for servers. Mind you the servers came to the people at the two lanes next to us multiple times and we'd call out to them and try to get their attention and they'd just keep walking. So my husband and I went to the bar to try and order and waited another 30 mins and never got taken care of so we got annoyed and went back to our lane. It wasn't until our bowling game was over that a server finally came and took our order. *At this point I felt like it was a race issue or something...* We were all very Hispanic and probably the only Hispanic people there. We went to the bar to attempt to order again and we decided to play billiards, the server at the bar were staring us up and down and giving us dirty looks but not helping us. There was a particular male server at the bar who kept looking at us rudely. My husband and his friend made a comment and they finally helped us but we seemed like a bother rather than paying customers. The server gave us a pitcher of beer and said "I'm not going to pour it for you guys but feel free to pour it yourself" something along those lines... no one asked her to pour our beer for us so that comment was really uncomfortable and left us all super confused.. ANYWAYS, we'll eventually be back to Mac Daddy's because theres not much else to do in this town. I hope our experience is different next time. read more

Payed $25+ for some nuggets I wouldn't feed my nephews. The fries were fine... but how do you mess up fries? And the pizza was under cooked. All of it was over priced.
