My daughter had many dental issues because of her fear of going to the dentist. She needed extensive dental work to get her teeth healthy again. We live in Boynton Beach which is an hour away. First, the office staff is amazing, very down to earth, kind, understanding and extremely helpful with scheduling appointments. Dr Darron Snow has been very honest, gentle and somehow did a root canal, crowns and filled her cavities without nitrous oxide which is unheard of with my 38 year old daughter, lol. She didn't even complain after her dental appointment which is also a miracle. She has ZERO tolerance for pain and she is so thankful to Dr Snow for being so patient and gentle. The office worked really hard to get her dental work completed this summer because she is a teacher who works 1.5 hours from his office. She only has one more appointment to get her 2 crowns on before school starts. Now she wants to get veneers on her front teeth because they're discolored from a trampoline accident years ago. Absolutely lost all trust in Doctor. He consistently advised I would need a sinus lift if placing implant in rear mouth where tooth was extracted many years ago. Sinus lift. Sinus lift. Sinus lift.....until I saw a periodontist who also had my X-rays. All of a sudden no sinus lift needed per young Dr. Snow. I think he would have performed an unnecessary procedure if another professional was not involved. Another incident had me questioning almost strong arm tactics by a staff member to have an additional service performed during scheduled cleaning appointment. Perhaps $ is the underlying issue.? I won't go back to a doctor/ doctors office that puts their wallet ahead of patient's actual needs. So sorry to write a review like this. Thought I had found my forever FL dentist. Unprofessional customer service and not a good service overall. I got charged it a something that I did not receive.

Very degrading and demeaning office staff. After trading a number of emails to confirm insurance benefits, showed up for appointment and they acted like they had no idea. Treated me as a no insurance patience (rudely, I may add) and refused to look into benefits. Later called me after I refused the visit and apologized and welcomed my insurance with open arms but the damage was done. Office manager, reception, and all staff appeared to be loitering around and gossiping - very bad vibes all around. I'm sure the dentists are great (and have heard that they are from others in Hollywood) but I refuse to deal with rude, impatient and inflexible office staff. read more

I was charged for a deep cleaning which I did not have and I keep getting the bill after telling the office that it was paid for already. Dr. Snow was extremely rude after meeting me for the first time. I asked him when he is going to introduce himself and he said "maybe I will." He never did. I had a good dental experience. My waiting time was short. Waiting room was mostly empty. Everyone was wearing a mask.. I felt comfortable. I had a check up and xrays. The experience was smooth and fast. She tried hard to make the x-rays as comfortable as possible. I appreciated the effort. My dentist name was Dr Snow. The check up was really fast. Emerald Hills Dental Center is old needs updating, the X-ray room is very dirty. *The office is covered with shelves of folders. Dr. Goldstein has long nails, did not wear gloves and cut my lower lip, ouch, took 3 days to heal. Dr. Goldstein planned to install a crown on a recent filling. Wrong Tooth! good to get a 2nd opinion. Delta DentalIns.statement "you owe provider $117.00 ." Emerald Hills charged $125.00, I sent a copy by mail to the office, I have not received the credit to my card. The procedure for the crown only required a photo sent to Delta D ins, but Kim ? told me it takes 3 weeks, for approval, maybe by US mail? with such delays I would loose $590. ins. benefits for the year. 2019. As a new patient, I came to see the place and set an appointment in that clinic. I've noticed a sign in the office stating a "COVID-19" fee of $12 will be charged from patient (not covered by insurance) because of pandemic added expenses. I didn't like the fact that expenses are charged to me not through the insurance so I've decided to look further more. SURPRISE!! Many other clinics DO NOT charge any pandemic fees. I canceled and went to see a different dentist. This charge is legal (I've checked) but is very wrong, in my opinion. They could try charge the excessive experiences to the insurance company-which most likely won't approve it. I don't give the information of the clinic I ended going to so people won't think I advertise ,but I do urge people to check. You can save this charge. I paid $28 my co-pay for feeling. Extra $12???? The Dental office itself was nice. I had an appointment but at the time a hurricane was coming so it was obviously cancelled. They called to reschedule on a specific date but I couldn't make it. When I asked for an alternative date and time they said they'd call me back... 3 years later, still no call back! And I've called a number of times to reschedule but they were always "booked". This place did not impress me on my first visit because they had me waiting over an hour. I was coming from a previous dental office where if your appointment was at 2 and you weren't there by 1:55 they were calling your cell phone. I like punctual medical offices because if I am on time, I feel you should be too. That said, when I came in the next day for my actual cleaning and subsequent visits I have been seen right away. Everyone who works here is pleasant and they even went above and beyond to accept my son as a patient even though he's slightly younger than they normally see in order to do me a favor with my horrible insurance coverage. read more

Recently the entire staff helped me with a last minute emergency before a trip to Chicago. I chipped my tooth at lunch and was flying out the next morning. The office manager realized my plight and worked me into the schedule with the staff. I was elated that I got the help I needed and had a great trip thanks to all if their help. The staff members are great. The issue is with their billing practices and the accountability of their errors. Management need to work closely with the staff to advise and educate about their services and provide better communication. They do participate with most dental insurance but in my case claims were not submitted allowing them to overcharge me for services. Simply, they took advantage of my costly dental situation. Be aware of your charges, statements, review everything before paying anything since the provide a very sketchy and unclear billing ledgers. Discuss everything and ask questions so you do not became a consumer victim of this practice. read more

This place is just terrible! I've been a patient at this terrible place for a couple years and since day one these people have been trying to impose additional procedures on me that are not covered by the insurance and are not medically necessary - as a "just in case" kind of thing. All they have been trying to do is to force patients into undergoing "recommended" procedures (irrigation, tooth pocket deapth measurement, etc.) and as a result make patients pay hard out-of-pocket cash. After I refused to undergo another unnecessary precautionary treatment and refused to sign the form, I was told that this place is not for me and I should go somewhere else. In the 45 minutes I spent in the office today, I have heard three different stories as to why/when the latter procedure was implemented (they completely forgot that they offered me to sign the agreement form almost a year ago, told me that it has been two years since I had it done even though I have never received the treatment, and then 10 minutes later told me that they have started implementing this new recommended prophylactic treatment only a month ago)! I told them that they need to get their story straight and I left this shit hole. As far as the quality of their services is concerned, there is virtually no difference in the appearance of your teeth before and after the treatment: the stains remain just the way they were before the procedure. And this is not a single hygienist problem - I have been through four different hygienists and all four possessed consistently terrible skills that resulted in consistently terrible results and I had to finish up cleaning myself every single time at home, naively hoping that next time they will do a better job. What a fool! The bottom line is: stay away from this place as far as you can unless you want to pay for terrible services and be scammed every single time you go for a visit. read more

I was a client of Dr. Snow up until about 3 years ago. Had an emergency, which he 'fixed', then went on vacation, leaving me in pain and with no help available. Yesterday I needed a crown, so of course, Dr. Goldstein, one of the BEST dentists EVER in South Florida, did an excellent job doing the procedure. And her top priority is her patients' comfort in her exam room. If I tell her I need more novacaine, she always has plenty of it stocked, since i have a very low tolerance level for pain. She also tells you what she's going to do next during a dental procedure. Her dental assistant, Cedy, did an excellent job in putting in my new crown. I had previously been seeing Dr Snow and he was excellent. The last time I went in September, I had Dr Goldstein and it was a different story. Spent two minutes with me, told me my fillings had to be replaced when there is nothing wrong with them. Then I went to a new hygienist and felt like she took advantage of me. Told me I needed a deep cleaning at a cost of $850. When I went to another dentist for a second opinion he asked for my X-rays and periodontal chart. When I told them I did not have them done this time around he said I was being taken advantage of and there was no way they could recommend that treatment without an X-ray or chart. When I called back to cancel they gave me a hard time and when I asked questions about my treatment they could not answer them. I have been going to this place for about 7 years because of my hygienist Ody. She is the best! However, they have recently added an additional service to the teeth cleanings that they are forcing you to get and pay for (an anti-microbial irrigation). I feel we should be able to reject any sort of care as the paying patient. I already pay $40 for my teeth cleanings and am not going to pay an extra $30 for a service I don't even want and am not allowed to refuse. I would love to stay at this office and continue care, but unfortunately, I am going to have to find another dentist. read more

Emerald Hills Dental is the only dentist available locally to me on my HMO dental plan. I have been going there for years and they are ok. But recently they started imposing an extra treatment when getting a regular cleaning. They make you sign a form at check in agreeing to it but the form does not state the amount of the charge. It's $30 I came to find out at the desk. I asked them if this was necessary why didn't they submit the claim to my insurance. They said it wasn't covered but they deemed It necessary and if I didn't agree with their "Gold Standard" practice I could find another dentist. That was in February. So 6 months passed and I was due my next cleaning but hadn't found another dentist yet so off I go to Emerald Hills. But this time I refused to sign the form. They showed me in and my teeth were cleaned. As I got up to leave the office manager came to the door of the room and tried to block my exit asking me to sign the form again. I told her I was declining the treatment and that it was illegal to try to force any treatment on someone. She agreed that I was correct and let me exit.
