A Million Stars For Brittany! She Does Amazing Facials & Waxing! Also Mani & Pedis! So Nice, All The Staff & Spa Were Great

We arrived on time to our 9:00 am 60 minute couples massage to locked doors. The doors were opened a couple of minutes after our attempt to enter. There were 4 staff members in the front lobby and none of them greeted us, including the receptionist who checked us in. We filled out the paperwork and requested deep tissue massages for both of us. We also verbally made our wish for deep tissue massages known to the massage technicians. The massage room was very cold and the massage tables and sheets ice cold. The tables did not warm for our entire 40 minute session. The massage technicians entered our room at 9:10 to start the massages and left the room at 9:50. My massage was average, but there was no part of the massage that was deep tissue. My husband stated the it was the worst massage he has ever had and was hardly a massage, much less a deep tissue massage. His technician was so slow in moving sheets and proceeding to the next body segment, that he felt he only received 30 minutes of his 40 minute massage. When we paid, we were charged for a 60 minute massage, $10 for each deep tissue massage, plus a required 18% gratuity. We did not pay additional gratuity. I completed the emailed survey from the spa with a 1 star rating, detailing the reasons outlined above. I asked for a refund for the 20 minutes of massage we did not receive, the deep tissue charges and the 18% gratuity.I stated if they refunded me I would not publicly negatively review their "spa". After several weeks of no reply, I attempted twice, several weeks apart, to email the spa directly only to receive "full mailbox" notifications. read more

I've had massages all around the world. I booked this couple's massage as a Christmas gift for myself and my girlfriend. I'm giving this review less than a 5-Star because the building itself wasn't as inviting as I like when going to a spa. The office is small and, the rooms were really close together. Typically for the price they charge it comes with a juice bar, a lounge, a bath after the massage, and/or several other amenities that just weren't there. You're really paying for the location, which is in the heart of the resort areas. The massage I got was from Robbie. She listened to me when I told her where to focus and she nailed it. I am not a huge fan of the deep tissue massage technique, but I like a very firm rub down. That's exactly what she gave me. My shoulders haven't felt this good in a long time. I told her on the way out that whatever she was doing to my thighs was easily the best massage I've ever had. My girl was very pleased with what Kristy did for her and said it was easily the best she'd had as well. If you're in the area I strongly suggest rolling in there and seeing what they have to offer. read more

I found this place on Yelp and saw all the great reviews and got excited about getting both a Brazilian wax and a mani/pedi. Brittany was who I got for all services, and she is the nicest anyone could ask for, no complaints there! As for the wax, I am not new to Brazilian waxes as I have been going to the same person for almost 8 years back home. So I expect that no matter what is being waxed that there will not be any hair left... nor wax pieces.. I learned when I made the appointment that they do nothing with acrylic, so that was a clear expectation. I didn't anticipated being in the salon for almost 3 hours just for the mani/pedi. I was disappointed that it was chipping within a week. The company was pleasant as she is very nice, I just personally won't be returning for either of those services. read more

First of all, let me say that I had booked a 60 minute massage & anti aging facial after finding this spa on Yelp. All of the staff were professional & my services were great. I was the first appointment, & my service started on time. Had a nice massage followed by a nice facial. When my facial started, I clarified that I was scheduled for the anti aging facial. The esthetician said, "oh, I have you for an herbal facial" but she said it was no problem & changed it to what I had asked for. Then they were able to squeeze me in for a pedicure, which was nice even though the tub overflowed. But not a big deal at all. The girl was very nice & apologetic. When I checked out, I noticed I was billed for a 90 minute massage, even though I had booked a 60 minute. So instead of being booked for a 60 minute massage & anti aging facial. The owner booked me for a 90 minute massage & an herbal facial? So overall, services were great, management/scheduling not so organized. I made an appointment for a Brazilian Wax. I wasn't sure after reading some reviews only due to "positions" for the best wax. After I informed her of my doubts (pain in my hips), Brittany was wonderful and was very careful to watch and ask how I was doing. She would walk me through was going to happen next. My friend got me a deep tissue and facial package. This was supposed to be a two hour service, but I was in and out in about an hour. I had been dropped off and was supposed to be picked up thinking I'd be there for two hours, but had to make arrangements to be picked up earlier since it seems I was scammed with my cut-short appointment. The temperature outside was in the low 40s. I told the massage therapist that I was just waiting for my ride, but she told me I could only wait in the waiting room while she is turning over the room I had a massage in. That only took her 2 mins. I had to wait outside for 30 mins. I've never been so insulted. I would advise anyone to not even consider this establishment. This was a Christmas gift and I feel that my friend wasted their money because going into it I was wishing for a comfortable, relaxing experience but instead I regretted going in the first place. read more

Excellent massage! Massage therapist was knowledgeable, kind, friendly and intuitive. I was able to schedule on a quiet weekend afternoon when all other area facilities were closed. I agree with other reviews that the lobby area could use some sprucing up, a little more serenity/sanctuary feel, a little less strip mall. Nonetheless, I wasn't there for the lobby. Massage therapist referred me to others who work there in the event that he was not available for when I am next at Emerald Sanctuary Day Spa, which is most definitely going to happen. (Kind of crazy 'round here how so many of the body work, nail salons or spa type places close at 5:00 on Saturdays and aren't open on Sunday. These are the days that the M-F, 9-6 working crowd has our days off and when weekend vacationers are visiting IMHO). read more

I scheduled the Extended Sanctuary Signature massage with relaxing aromatherapy ($5 extra but worth it) after reading positive reviews on Yelp and Google. Krystal is so talented at what she does, made sure I was comfortable, and really worked on my many knots. Her pressure level was perfection. What I wasn't aware of, nor had I ever been told this, was I had tension in my head so she really focused on my scalp. I swear I was so relaxed by this, I was in a trance-like state. I recently had the good fortune of being able to spend a month in the Sandestin, Florida area. I spent almost every day on the beach. Needless to say, I got a lot of sun and my skin became very dry. Before I left, I searched for a hydrating treatment. I looked at all the salon reviews and treatments offered and the one that caught my attention was The Emerald Sanctuary. They specifically advertised a sun soothing wrap for moisturizing skin that had been dehydrated by sun exposure......exactly what I needed. It was the best ever!!! My therapist was Kystal and she was terrific.....very professional and very pleasant! Not only did the treatment accomplish exactly what I wanted, but she combined the treatment with a massage - I felt terrific afterwards! My skin felt soft and soothed and not oily and sticky, like you might expect. And, I know it doesn't sound real, but the moisture treatment lasted for weeks (I used very gentle soap afterwards). Remarkably, after all that time in the sun, I never peeled! I had a 60 minute session, very reasonably priced and worth every penny, especially since it combined two services in one, moisturizing treatment and massage! And, Krystal applied the moisture treatment to my face (also very sunburned), which was like a mini facial. I have had other moisture treatments, but this was by far the best! There are much more plush and expensive salons in the Destin/Sandestin area, but there are none better or more reasonably priced! read more
