They came very quickly and made a simple repair to faulty old shut off valves but the charge was extremely high for the work done .

Petar, Ivan and his crew do great work at a very reasonable price - a very difficult to find combination.

I called Plumbing Express to investigate and resolve a water leak in my kitchen ceiling. The leak was directly below my master bathroom toilet, which my sister and I had already narrowed down by tapping on the kitchen ceiling downstairs while listening upstairs, where the sound was clearly strongest near the master bathroom toilet. The technician briefly inspected both bathrooms but focused on my sister's bathroom on the opposite side of the house after noticing a damp sponge under the toilet tank. My sister explained the sponge was there because she sprays and cleans the toilet regularly, not because of a leak. The plumber then cut open the kitchen ceiling drywall, stated the leak was coming from the water supply line from my sister's toilet, and performed a complete toilet tank rebuild for $450. After the repair, he gave me a card for a company that performs restorations and recommended I call them to inspect for subfloor damage. When that restoration company arrived, they immediately stated there was no way the ceiling leak could have originated from the secondary bathroom because of the location and no evidence of water stains. They recommended another plumber and a leak detection company come out to find the leak before they performed any work. I contacted a second plumber, who agreed the leak was much more likely connected to the master bathroom toilet directly above the leak area. Finally, I hired a leak detection company, and they also confirmed the leak aligned with the master bathroom location, not the secondary bathroom Plumbing Express repaired. At this point, three separate professionals have stated the leak could not have originated from the bathroom Plumbing Express serviced. I paid $450 for a repair that did not address the actual problem I originally called about. In Response to Ty G: Your response is totally incorrect. I would not have called the second plumber and the leak detection company if your recommended restoration company had not told me that the leak was not identified. The pictures taken are of the secondary bathroom not the master as we discussed in our phone call. It is totally "disingenuous" for you to now state that the master toilet was the issue. This validates everything I thought about your company. Others beware!

I've used them a handful of times in a short period of time to address some items at one of my homes. They give you a 4 hour window of when a technician will be able to come. They updated my newly purchased homes kitchen sink pipes to an S Trap and also brought my water heaters thermal expansion tank up to code. When the technician has entered the house, they wear the shoe coverings. I really appreciate that. I've mostly worked with Gary who was very awesome and also Matt. When we replaced it, the new one was placed directly on the basement floor with no pan or anything around it or under it. Our basement has never flooded before (in 25 years) but it looks like some water may have come in near the new water heater. I don't know why else there would be water inside the water heater at the bottom. Hunter said they can no longer honor the warranty for the water heater because of this. It seems like it should have been raised off the ground at least a couple of inches when it was installed or had a pan of some sort to protect the bottom of the water heater. But I'm not an expert on water heater installation so what do I know? Hunter got the water out with paper towels and relit the pilot light. Hooray! Hunter saved the day. I think he may have changed the setting back down to its lowest because we are running out of hot water very quickly when showering. Hopefully that's all that has been done. We keep forgetting to check it until we're freezing in the shower :)

For years, we dealt with the problem that the sump pump actually wasn't strong enough, but we had no clue. Matthew came in and told us that an actuality, not only was the sump pump aged, but we also needed one that was a lot stronger to handle the amount of rain that was rushing down the staircase outside our house to the basement door. At times, the amount of was so much that would quickly slip under the door and flood our basement and had done times. We kept thinking, maybe it was just because the sump pump wasn't plugged in, or the drain was clogged with leaves and debris, or we just seal that whole area off. But we never had a clue that all this time it was just because the sump pump was under performing; that, as Matthew put it we had a .2 strength sump pump and needed a .5 hp sump pump. Well, he thought that he wouldn't be able to replacement that late at night, but he dug in anyway, and actually found one, retrieved it from the store, and replaced it, all in the same night. We're so glad he was able to assist and that we on ROTO-Rooter to assist us. We highly recommend going with ROTO-Rooter anytime you have problems. Thanks, Matthew again. We appreciate it.

On 2/10, a technician named Tyrone came out to check a leak under our kitchen wooden floorboards, in front of the dishwasher. There was no visible water, but about a 5 ft x 5 ft section of the floor had started to cup and swell. I do appreciate that Roto-Rooter was able to schedule a same-day appointment. Unfortunately, the service itself was very poor. I was at work, and my mom was home during the visit. Tyrone pulled out the dishwasher and claimed he found the leak, but he never actually showed my mom where it was or clearly explained what he found. Instead of focusing on identifying and fixing the source of the leak, he repeatedly insisted that the entire kitchen flooring needed to be replaced. He also said that to match the kitchen floors, the connected hallway flooring would need to be replaced as well. On top of that, he claimed the basement ceiling under the kitchen had water damage and would need to be replaced, even though there was no visible damage. His estimates were shocking: $300 to replace the leaking pipe, $7,000-$13,000 for water mitigation and mold inspection, and approximately $20,000 to replace the kitchen and hallway floors. He strongly suggested that the full floor replacement would be "free" because he would write up a report and insurance would cover it, and we would only need to pay $300 out of pocket for the pipe repair. My mom called me very worried, so I asked him to explain everything to me over the phone. I repeatedly asked whether he had clearly identified and confirmed the source of the leak. He avoided directly answering and continued focusing on replacing the floors. When I asked whether filing an insurance claim could increase our premium, he hesitated and said no. He also kept encouraging my mom to sign documents before leaving. We decided to have a second opinion, and had another licensed plumber come. He clearly showed us the actual source of the leak. It was not under the dishwasher as claimed by Tyrone. It was simply a loose connection on the water line that was slowly dripping and pooling a small amount of water under the floor. The plumber tightened the connection in about 10 minutes and did not charge us anything. There was no major pipe failure. There was no need for $7,000-$20,000 in work. There was no basement ceiling damage. I am extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled. What we experienced felt like unnecessary upselling and recommendations for extensive repairs that were not supported by the actual condition of the issue. It is very concerning that a homeowner could be led to believe such significant work was required without clear evidence. Please be cautious before hiring this company. Our experience left us feeling misinformed and very uneasy about the recommendations that were made.
