Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. Eric was extremely prompt, professional, upfront, and trustworthy. He provided me with multiple quotes for AC-only replacement and HVAC replacement (at multiple price points). One thing that I appreciated was that Erik went out of his way not to upsell anything and made clear that it was my decision, but still answered all my questions and gave me his professional opinion. I ultimately decided to replace the entire HVAC system due to its age (around 15 years old). HVAC Buddies also offers payment plans through a third-party lender, so I was able to set up a payment plan with 0% interest for 36 months, which is always a welcome option for large expenses like this one.
