I will NEVER help another aide or their family again. If I could get back the two big totes of blankets & quilts I would. Just left me to struggle as my knee tendon tore, I had a TIA & heart attack & have to have the other knee surgery. I've no help at all. I was offered a "backup"man, but I said no thank you. At least the head lady at Aging & Disabilities has given a better way to find a professional aide. I used to think highly of Serengeti until I was left feeling used.

They are dependable (without exception) and are able to be flexible when needed. I write this after 6 weeks of 5 days/week, 8 hours/day service from them. My husband and I each wholeheartedly recommend this agency for anyone needing temporary or long term care in their own home. A little history: We thought we had an arrangement with another home care agency, but due to questionable agency practices, we did not hire them. This, unfortunately happened a week before I needed knee surgery. My husband, the client, cannot be left alone and needs some assistance that I wouldn't be able to provide. I called Serengeti purely based on their reviews. The manager, Tanya, came to our home the next morning. Based on our impression of her and how she described their services, and on the quality of her assessment, we signed up that day. They started immediately on the date we needed them. They did not disappoint. The aide that Tanya matched up for my husband was well suited in personality as well as in her compassionate, competent skills. Gina (our aide) is a lovely, warm woman who is a pleasure to have nearby. Her primary job is to keep him safe and she does this well. She, also, helps him as needed to do his physical, occupational, and speech therapy homework. She does light housekeeping (laundry, dishwasher, tidying up, etc) as needed when I am around to insure ongoing visual supervison. We wish we had hired Serengeti sooner. I sleep better and am more energetic. I don't have to do it all. We also cannot say enough good about Tanya, the manager. She is "johnny-on-the-spot" and has helped us expedite insurance requirements. She has also called them on our behalf. She is a dynamo. Her daughter, Tanika, is equally helpful. Another aspect of this agenct that bears mentioning is that they treat their employees -- all vetted -- well. When I read employee reviews of Serengeti, the phrase I read most was that they were treated like family. Tanya and Tanika have set the atmosphere. (Our aide finds this to be the best home care agency for which she has worked.)

I lived with my Mom in her last year of life at Creekside from 2023 -2024. I am so grateful that we…read morelived there, as the staff and residents created a loving family like atmosphere. The staff and residents went above and beyond for my Mom after a car accident and later, her terminal illness. The staff moved out all her furniture and placed it in their storage while we rented a medical grade mechanical bed, chair, commode, wheelchair, etc for her recovery after the car accident. They did this while Mom was still in the ER. So, everything was set up when she returned to Creekside. These details were typical for the staff to voluntarily do for residents all the time. Everything was wonderful at Creekside- the loving staff, the involved and friendly residents, the programs (live music every week!), the food (so good!), and the opportunity to be with people who still want to gather and explore the world. Lots of residents also travel the world, and then share their adventures. I felt that the room rate was reasonable for all the big and little things that happen at Creekside. Mom moved in in 2023, and Creekside was still more affordable that other places we toured in Woodinville. I heard from other Creekside residents that were already living there that the rates jumped up because the rates were so much lower than anywhere else, and covid supply prices (food, electrical, cable, property taxes, etc.) forced them to increase the rates. Creekside is not skimping on maintenance and cleaning and upkeep. Yelp is doing something weird with the algorithm, as there are some 5 star reviews that are hidden and not counted in the score of Creekside. I knew two of those reviewers, as I lived at Creekside for a year with them, so that Mom could stay after a disabling car accident and later, CJD. I find it weird that by not including those positive reviews, the score of Creekside is so low. This is a 5 star place! Its easy to find out if you take a tour, and ask any resident living there today for their honest opinion.

From an unsigned, inaccurate eviction letter that the state ombudsman told us was not legal - which Kenmore management settled just before the hearing - to the complete lack of compassion from the executive director when our mom was rushed to the hospital and needed emergency heart surgery, to the COVID deaths we had to learn about from the health department -- I couldn't wait for the day she no longer lived there. It came a lot sooner than expected when they decided her medical needs were too much to handle, a day after they cashed her rent check -- but the "pack up and get out" attitude was more of a surprise than it should've been. They returned just half of it with no explanation. There are far better places to care for your loved ones. Keep looking.

Kenmore Senior Living was bought and had new upper level management and I was not impressed. When my sister and I went in to tell them she had passed and we needed to move her stuff out the two women in the admin office just looked at us with zero compassion and said really that was fast. No my sincerest condolence or we are sorry for your loss, it was really weird and left a very bad taste in both my sister and my mouth. I never felt more like a business than a place that cares for elderly. I have noticed a large vacancy on the third floor and no luck filling them. The care givers are very kind, a new nurse started so not sure about her and the front desk wonderful and they are the only reason I gave three stars. The admin unfriendly, uncaring and just showing up to work with any interest with the residents and their families. I will not be recommending this facility to anyone which is to bad because a year ago I would have and do not want to take anything away from the staff. My siblings and I knew she needed help and once we moved her, we learned just how much care she really needed. The staff identified several issues and helped us know what needed to be done or find professionals who could assist. They take good care of Mom implementing the recommendations of the medical professionals. On Mom's 93rd birthday they recognized her with birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday. They also had a family birthday party/dinner on Mother's Day when the family could be there. From the very beginning, the Tigist and staff have asked what Mom likes for food, activities, and how she wants to be cared for. Even though Mom has dementia, they do their best to accommodate her wishes. Mom regularly asks to move back home, and then in the next breath says they take really good care of me here--they give me almost anything I want. My partner had to put his mother in care and says he's never seen the good quality care Mom is receiving. My siblings and I are so grateful for Abigail's Adult Family Home where they take such good care of Mom.

They have a lovely home in a very quiet neighborhood yet very close to shopping and transportation. I am very pleased with the quality of their care, assuring my daily needs are met and assisting me as needed with my love of baking and cooking in their well-appointed kitchen. They and their three daughters live in the lower level and it has been very nice getting to know them. I brought my Christmas nutcrackers and Christmas tree decorations with me and we have had fun decorating the upstairs together. I highly recommend Abigail Adult Family Home to anyone looking for a quality home environment for their senior family member or for themselves. My mother was diagnosed with a very rare bacterial infection. She had surgery that removed most of…read moreher heel bone to eradicate the infection. Her post op care required a wound vac and a facility that was equipped to change it out every 3 days. This facility came up as qualified for this specific care. They approved the care order. After being there for a week, my mother's wound vac hadn't been changed and when I called to find out what was going on , I was told Benito was the only one trained to switch it out and he didn't work weekends. Left early for an "emergency" This was a Friday night. It should have already been switched out by this point I called and made a fuss. This care is the difference between keeping or losing her leg. Benito came back in on his day off to do the required care we paid for. When he went to change the vac out he ripped the bandage off my mother's open wound and caused tremendous pain. So much so my mom too afraid to let the staff know when she was having any discomfort. After that incident they were cold and distant with her and rude with me when I visited. She came home before she was ready because we were both concerned about elderly abuse. I would like to think anyone in this profession would treat people the way they would want their parents to be treated. Amazingly after this incident , they had another nurse do wound vac changes. Today we received a $3000 bill after being told her stay was covered by insurance. No itemized charges. Just 3/1 and cost of service. From the facility.

However, I have learned that it is challenging to know what to expect, and find good resources, so I felt like leaving a review might at least be helpful to some... The location itself not on a busy street, the parking could use improvement, however, there is some in the back. I do think the staff here is efficient and they were very responsive to phone calls and questions and coming in for a tour. During the tour I was able to ask any questions that I wanted to, and was able to understand clearly Aryana's responses. The way that this location is set up, included a short term, hallway, and a long-term hallway, the cleanliness of the areas were pretty good, and the overall facility did show a movie area, and boardgame area. I don't expect any location to be perfect, I did see a lot of seemingly happy family members visiting there, family while passing through the hallways... There was one spot that smelt of urine, but perhaps that was being addressed. Overall, I think if you are looking for someplace that your family needs to stay at, this is a good spot to begin your tour, and see.
