On December 23rd, 2025, my husband stopped in the 25 location to buy a box off cookies for our neighbor for Christmas. When he brought the cookies home, the box was filled with macaroons and the other half of the box was filled with a stale, old fruit cake cut up to look like cookies. I recommend watching what you buy at any of their locations due to poor quality and items being days old/stale. Our family will never go back!! read more

This is an amazing classic bakery! The moment you open the door, you are greeted by the amazing smell of sugar and the friendly staff. You have to go early because everything (I do mean everything) is sooo good it sells out fast. There is a enormous variety of fresh baked goods from breads, cakes, cookies, pasties, sooo many type so donuts and more. This bakery is one of our favorites and it is definitely a treat. My family and I needed to finalize birthday festivities for my father-in-law in less than a week. Unfortunately the cake was one of the last things on the list. Happily, Emerson's was able to accommodate us with a delicious and festive cake. My sister-in-law put in the order for a fisherman themed cake. (We had tried to get this at another local bakery first only to be told that custom cakes would take much longer.) The lady we worked with was super upbeat and helpful. We told her what we wanted, and she gave multiple options and was very descriptive to help us choose. She also helped us figure out what size cake to get, so we didn't order too much. The cake was very reasonably priced and available in a short time frame on a busy, holiday weekend. And perhaps best of all, it tasted great. We got vanilla icing and strawberry cake. It definitely satisfied our sweet tooth. I hope we can order from Emerson's again soon. read more

Best tasting cake in town! We used them for our daughter's wedding cake and cupcakes, and the price was reasonable and they were amazing, and we had a lot of compliments. This place isn't the worst, but it isn't the best. We only stop by if we're in the plaza, it's not worth it to make a separate trip for. The bagels are over priced. They're on the smaller side and to have them put cream cheese on it, it'll cost $3. For a bagel and cream cheese? Their speciality kids cookies are kind of messy. They taste good, which is what matters the most, but for a bakery, you expect a certain level of icing decorating technique, and they lack it here. I am used to having bagel places near home. When I moved down here I was upset I couldn't find any! When I saw Emos I had to stop. The woman that waited in me was fantastic. I think my first review of Emerson's was too harsh. I've been going there weekly for my bread and bagels, and I'm really impressed with the quality. The butter crust and hearth breads are my favorites, though I just got a loaf of rye and like it better than most others I've ever tried. Their 'everything' bagels are really killer, too. As for their sweets, I'm partial to the cheese pockets and coffeecakes. I'm always afraid to buy one unless I'm having guests over because I know I'll end up devouring the whole thing. read more

I will never go to Emerson's Bakery again. On 12/20/21 I ordered a lemon cream pie and a pumpkin roll for a 20-25 person sit down dinner for Christmas Eve. When I arrived for the pick-up the morning of the order, they had nothing for me. They offered me danishes. The only thing they had left was a German chocolate cake. I took the cake because I had nothing else. I ended up at Walmart looking for something there. The funny thing about this is when I was so upset over it not being there the girl at the counter said well you know we have bakers. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? She was holding my order in her hand. When asked why no one called me, she said I don't know they have been busy! I will be getting this out on social media with family and friends! We heard of this place while dining at Benihanas. Another group at our table was celebrating a birthday and shared their cake with us, from Emersons. We were in LOVE....get it? I N L O V E... The cake was nothing odd...white cake and white icing but it was amazing. The icing was a buttercream that was smooth and sweet but not sickeningly so and the white cake was moist and flavorful. I knew we had to find this place and have it again. So we did... The staff was super friendly and the cakes and pastries are reasonably priced. We will go back and have went back. I'm picky about alot of things, but sweets ain't one of those thangs. Uh, un. You can probably throw some sugar on the ground on a hot summer day and I'd get on the ground to lap it up like a cat with her milk. But I do have preferences... I'd knock over anyone who got in my way if Krispy kreme has their "Hot Now" sign lit up, and up till today they have been my absolute fave. Well Krispy Kreme, you may have met your match. This amazing delight sitting next to me isn't a donut, oh no.. it's much cooler than that. It's a ME size Pineapple Upside down Cake. And, my God.. when I took the first bite I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. This is hands down the BEST dessert I have EVER had. EVER. (and I eat ALOT of dessert.. if you couldn't tell..) I also got chicken salad on a cheddar bagel. Yeah it was good too, but I forgot about it already because of this orangey with a hint of yellow cake sitting beside me. This thing is seriously so good I don't want to finish it because then I'll have none left. Maybe I should let it sit next to me till I'm done with work? Yeah, that's not gonna happen. My taste buds are already begging me for the next bite. Based on the cake.. it'd be 10 stars, but the service was pretty slow and there wasn't really anyone else there. When you walk in there isn't anything impressive about the decor, and it doesn't have that OH MY GOD THAT SMELLS SO GOOD, I HAVE TO EAT EVERYTHING IN HERE, kinda smell like other bakeries I've gone to. There are plenty of seats inside, but I can't ever really see them being crazy enough to have to use them all. They offer soft drinks, and a cooler with a limited amount of beverages. I almost had to pry my hand away because they had chocolate milk...The dessert selection is very nice, and I had to limit what I looked at so I didn't buy the whole darn place. Will I return? Most definitely.. If I didn't think I'd get fired for leaving my job to go back right now.. I wouldn't be typing this review. I'd be stuffing my face with pineappley goodness. Oh, wait.. I really had a difficult time deciding between 2 stars and 1 star. The place was clean, the service was fine. So it should get a star for that. However, the food was so offensive that this place truly deserves 1 star. This place is connected to "Emerson's Bakery". I didn't try any of the bakery items, so good luck to them, but to call yourself a "bagel house" and to be as terrible as they were was an embarrassment. So, I look at the menu and I see the selection. I see "egg, cheese & meat". I ask for an everything bagel and they were out (which is fine, it happens) so i got an onion. The bagels were "lender" size but whatever, not everything can be NYC bagels Here is where it gets bad. So I ordered a "bacon egg and cheese". They start making it and say to me "we only have bacon bits that we mix in with the eggs". No real bacon? They had one of those pouches of bacon bits that arent refrigerated. So, at a "bagel house" where half the menu is scrambled eggs on a bagel they don't carry real bacon? That is ridiculous. Then I noticed the menu where they had their "meat" selection and its turkey, ham or salami. So no sausage either. Its a joke Then, I asked for ketchup on my bagel. They didn't have ketchup. How can you not have condiments for scrambled eggs? So, to me, this place isn't even trying. For real. scrambled eggs with no bacon, no sausage and no condiments. How hard is it to buy a $1 bottle of ketchup that lasts forever? If this place was just a bakery that happened to sell bagels, whatever, i'll let it go. But if you have the audacity to call yourself a "bagel house" then you have to put some effort into it. 100% truth, if you want a bagel, there is a Dunkin Donuts near by. This place is that bad that I'm recommending a Dunkin Donuts bagel. read more

Wow Mike I dont know where you got your bagel that day but you must have really hit a bad day because I have been going to this place for a while and unless they have new ownership, this place ROX! My only complaint would be that they spread the cream cheese (of about every flavour you want, i might add) on too thick . WAY TOO THICK! Sausage was real. Bacon was real. Yes they carry bacon bits but you have to ask for them by preference. Perhaps you had a new gal or you had a foreigner or even maybe it is a different ownership but I have been goin in there (yes the date you show) and my service AND food is quite yummy and i might add they are are always busy. I was very disappointed with today's experience. At 9 a.m. on a Sunday, they were nearly out of bagels. Of the approximately twelve flavours they had listed, only two were in stock. I could understand if a business with numerous types of goods were to run out of bagels, but bagels are in this business' name and they are one of the few goods that they sell. Ultimately I chose a poppyseed bagel with cream cheese and salami. What I received was a bagel with cream cheese only spread on the bottom half, and two pieces of salami that only would have been sufficient for half a bagel. Since I did not eat in, and only discovered this issue when I went to eat my breakfast, the top half of the bagel had to be eaten entirely plain. Were I rating the taste of the bottom half of the bagel alone, then I would have given this business three (maybe four) stars, as it did taste good. However, the service and the selection were both incredibly disappointing, especially for a business that calls itself Emo's Bagel House. read more

Did you know that Emerson's bakery goods are not baked fresh every day and they serve what is leftover the next day. Maybe the next day after that! I got stale peanut rolls more than once. Try Florence bakery accross the street. They do not have as much variety, but much, much better quality. read more

Inconsistent. That's the best way to describe this little donut shop. Some have lots of filling, others have about a pea sized dob. Some are drowned in icing, other have very little. If you get a good batch, they are pretty good. If you happen to get a bad batch, I would compare them to convenience store donuts. They are a little pricy at 10.00 a dozen. read more
