    Squawking Goat sandwich
    Tara R.

I stopped by for the second time and ordered the Squawking goat sandwich (which is what I got last time). Came to just over $11, no side, but a decent sized sandwich. I dined in, and food came out quickly, within 5 minutes. Love the flavors of this knife and fork sandwich, the tangy goat cheese, the sweet red pepper jelly (which is more like a Thai sweet chili sauce to me, very little heat), and the well seasoned crispy chicken. The biscuit is good, more solid than fluffy, but it all works well together. I'm sure I'll be back when I'm in the area!

My first time trying Maple Street biscuit Company. I went on a Thursday at lunchtime and there were no customers. I received prompt service and the food was brought out quickly. Everything was delicious. The gravy is good and it does say it's a little spicy and it is. The biscuit was very fresh and flaky. I took my order to go and the cheese didn't fare too well.

My wife choose the egg -treme gravy and biscuit (if you like greased gravy then it's for you). She explains to me the biscuit is very good and buttery. While I choose the keto breakfast (not big fan of sauce on top of everything). This is a Military friendly location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a really nice place not far from x way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Don't be in a hurry we waited 30 minutes to get our food and there is only a few people here.

Ordered the Squawking Goat biscuit which was insanely flavorful. Also ordered an inched maple vanilla latte and I think about it all the time lollll. Just perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess that my perfect type of coffee needs!

    The Retro Plate

This was our first and only time at this restaurant. It was ok, but not what I was really expecting. You enter and order your meal, get a number and then find a table. We had to clean our table, but had to ask for napkins to have a place to sit. You also have to get your own salt and pepper. My boyfriend and I ordered the Retro Plate. Who doesn't love biscuits and gravy?! I just wish I knew there was some heat to it. Neither one of us could eat it-too spicy! One piece of bacon was perfect and the other was burnt. The potatoes were ok, but I was craving more of a hash brown type. It's similar to Izzy's potato pancake.

Our second visit to this nifty breakfast forward restaurant in Florence was as delicious as the first. It has lot's of different takes on biscuits and gravy and other biscuit themed dishes. On this occasion I tried the High Steaks dish which was recommended to me by the guy taking my order (that guy was awesome for the record.) The High Steaks were a biscuit and gravy dish that also had country fried steak on top. The biscuits were great and the gravy was truly delicious. The country fried steak was quite good as well and finished off what was a splendid breakfast. Emily enjoyed her breakfast a lot as well. I still have nothing but glowing remarks to say about Maple Street Biscuit Company.

Tried a new breakfast place today. Busy place on Sunday brunch time, line was gathering outside the door. Friendly service, eclectic menu and fresh everything. Watched them hand bread the chicken and roll out the biscuits! The maple coffee was good, sadly when I added some Cream, the maple flavor faded.

How was the service? Service was good. You order when you walk in. Everyone we encountered was friendly Would I eat there again? Absolutely! How was the food/drink? Food was very good. We got the Farmer and the Five and Dime chicken biscuit sandwiches and both were so so good. Would order the same thing again. The chicken was tender, moist and perfectly crispy. The gravy for the Five and Dime has a nice kick and the apple butter is made in house for the Farmer. For drinks I got the fresh squeezed orange juice which you can never go wrong with! Husband got the medium medium drip coffee that has hints of maple syrup and it was also very good! How was the vibe/aesthetic? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Average vibe/aesthetic. Nothing really noteworthy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] How was it priced? Price was a little much but fair once you see the portion sizes. For our two meals plus coffee and orange juice it was $35.

First time here, and I was highly impressed with their menu selection. The coffee was great. I got the chicken club biscuit, and my husband got the five and dime biscuit, and we shared some sausage balls. It's all around very yummy, and the portions are more than enough. Definitely plan on coming back. The restaurant itself was clean, and the employees were awesome. Definitely recommend this little spot.

    Retro Biscuit - Fried Chicken

I finally stopped in to try this place and I am glad I did. I ordered the retro chicken biscuit with smash browns. The chicken was delicious and had some heat to it. The smash browns delicious. The only thing is I wanted the biscuit to be flaky and it was dry. Biscuit is in the name so should be the highlight

I recently came to check out Maple Street for a Saturday afternoon brunch. There was a line out the door, and the cashier taking orders was doing the best she could to get people through the line. I tried the biscuit sandwich that had bacon, egg and cheese. It was really good! I also got one of their specialty iced coffee's, that I really enjoyed. if you are looking for a casual, as well as delicious brunch, definitely check them out!

So this place just had a weird vibe - the decor is beautiful and upscale and from the pictures on…read moretheir website, we kind of thought we needed to dress up a bit. But no. This is basically bar food in an expensive looking setting. We both wanted to order their chicken wings, but were told that they only had 10 wings left. Which was puzzling since the place was relatively empty. And speaking of that, we made a reservation online thinking the place would be hopping for dinner. Not so much. I had the taco el pastor. It was good but was basically pulled pork on a corn tortilla with bbq sauce. I also ordered the Brussel sprouts which would have been really good if they weren't drowning in white sauce. I recommend asking for all sauces on the side, btw. TVs on the wall all around the dining room are tuned into blooper reels and trivia. All in all, the menu wasn't intriguing enough for us to want to go back.

Rarely does a restaurant manage to feel like a neighborhood secret while delivering a high-caliber…read moreculinary program, but Sanctuary Social has mastered that delicate balance. Tucked away in Villa Hills, it has quickly established itself as a "hidden gem" that defies traditional categorization--part sophisticated lounge, part high-end bistro, and part soulful community hub. The design of Sanctuary Social is its first masterstroke. It captures the paradox of being "upscale-casual"; you'll find plush velvet sofas and warm, modern lighting that evoke a high-end city lounge, yet the energy remains as approachable as a favorite dive bar. The addition of live music on the weekends elevates the space from a mere eatery to a destination, providing a vibrant backdrop that feels both intimate and celebratory. It is a "sanctuary" in the truest sense--a place to disappear into for a few hours. The kitchen leans into "Elevated American" with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients and shareable plates that encourage conversation. Small Plates & Boards: The Artisan Meat and Cheese Board is a standout, curated with a level of intentionality often reserved for dedicated charcuterie houses. For a more modern bite, the Fresh Tomato Bruschetta with whipped burrata is a bright, creamy essential. The "Handhelds": The Wagyu Brisket Sammie and Wagyu Brisket Elote Tacos showcase the kitchen's ability to take casual comfort food and apply premium techniques. The brisket is consistently tender, balanced by the acidity and creaminess of the elote corn salsa. Craft Cocktails & Mocktails: The bar program is formidable. Their seasonal cocktails (like the Blackberry 75) are balanced and inventive. For those seeking non-alcoholic options, the Blackberry Lemonade Spritz or the Jalapeño Lemonade offers a complex profile that far exceeds standard soda fare. Sanctuary Social is the kind of place that Northern Kentucky has been craving: a spot that respects the craft of food and drink without the stiffness of formal dining. It's a "destination" restaurant hidden in plain sight, offering A1 surroundings and a menu that hits its mark with precision. If you haven't made the drive yet, you are indeed missing out on one of the region's most compelling new additions.
