BEWARE!!!! If I could leave 0 stars, I would!!! Save yourselves a lot of trouble by avoiding this campground! We camp often. It's our favorite thing to do. Looking forward to a lengthy road trip with my parents in August, I carefully planned the route, spoke with staff at each campsite to ensure special needs could be met, booked, and paid for everything in April. I exchanged phone calls in April with staff at Ashland Creekside Camp and RV and the staff were happy to help me book site P which has plenty of room for me to turn the vehicle and trailer and will accommodate both a trailer and a tent. I confirmed my paid reservation 2 days prior, and when we arrived at 7:30pm, and picked up our instructions to travel to site P. We navigated down a long, unpaved pathway to find two people in our site. No vehicle, no tent, blanket under a tree. They told us they booked site J, but the staff told them earlier today they could move to site P. After many calls, we were finally able to make contact with someone. (There is no one on site.) I talked with the young man who said they can change anyone's site at any time, and they do. He told me we could stay in site J or leave. We backed our rig through the path and were finally able to squeeze into site J. There is no room for the tent and I'll be sleeping in the car. I have been driving all day. My entire family is exhausted and sick, and I can't quit crying. Staff at this place are unprofessional and rude. The camp area is overcrowded and icky. Save yourselves and stay anywhere else. read more

We booked a 3-night stay while visiting relatives in Ashland. Super helpful hosts (we came in after-hours and had an envelope waiting for us with all the necessary info)! While it is an older campground, it was very clean and extremely well kept up. We had excellent wi-fi at our campsite. Prior reviews have mentioned that there are some long-term RVs, and there are. That should not be a concern for anyone, as the campground was quiet and very peaceful. Our site (#24) had a rushing stream behind it and the landscaping and spacing between sites are almost State Park-like. We were treated to an unseasonable spring snowfall and the campground looked magical! Great location and super nice facilities- We would definitely stay again! read more

First time here. Made reservations for several days bc it was close to town, and we were going to see Shakespeare plays. They put us in site #9, the most awkward site to get into, even though they knew our dimensions when I made the online reservation. Site 9's cyclone-fence view had all the charm of a county correctional facility. Spoke to locals in town who said, "Get out of there!" Spent one night and left immediately the next morning for a county campground. As we left, my husband went in the office and respectfully told them we were leaving & why. The guy told him, "Yeah, I watched and saw you were having trouble with that site. If you told me, maybe we could have worked out something." My husband said, "If you saw the problem, you should have been the one to solve it." The guy was unapologetic. We left without a refund and we went to a more beautiful place, thanks to the advice of locals who knew better! Giving one-star bc my husband said their bathroom was clean. read more

We stayed in the central row of hookup sites (#40) and enjoyed our time at the park. Wasn't crowded and the facilities were clean and well maintained. I could see where the experience would vary drastically if we were in the loop sites 34-18 or 48-53, that's where the full timers and long-term residence are located. Still, we were out and about during the day and the location provided great access to the city and surrounding wineries, hikes, etc. Check in was smooth, the store on site is well stocked and the wireless/hook-ups worked flawlessly. read more

Very disappointing!!! I booked this online for my boyfriend who was on a road trip. It looks nothing like the pictures!! Affordable and close to town. They are slow on repairs. The same missing bathroom stall latch a previous poster noted was still missing three months later. It took three requests to get it done. Some shower stalls are still unlockable. They don't follow their own rules. There are derelict RVs on site, quiet hours were not enforced, and many abandoned and feral cats wander the lot. A pool is listed as a perk, but it's only available in peak season. It was 90* when I was there but the pool had been closed for the winter. read more

DO NOT GO TO THE SITE U reserved and hook up. The Park offers 30 amp service. We could only run 1 appliance at a time and then it bordered on very low voltage. We could not run our elect. heater without going in the red (low voltage). Our coffee pot put us at the edge of the low voltage meter. We hooked up in our reserved spot and they had moved us to another site. The officer Mgr. was kind enough to rearrange sites so that we didn't have to move. Tired and weary after a long car ride, my husband and I were looking for a campsite. When we drove up we noticed that there were tent campsites open. We were excited to finally get some rest. I asked my husband to hurry and go into the office to reserve a spot. My husband jumped out the car and ran in. In the rush, he forgot his mask in the car. He walked in mask-less and was yelled at like a ten year old kid. The lady behind the desk snapped at him: "Get outside and wait ....you don't have a mask!" I mean is that necessary??? Can you show some professionalism and kindness? He obviously forgot it.... He would have been happy to turn around and get it a few steps away in the car. Anyways, needlessness to say we felt completely unwelcomed. So we left. I know people have bad days but don't treat people so RUDE! read more

We're staying here for the first rime. It's just for 1 night, which is good because the campground is shabby, and I wouldn't stay for more than just an overnight. We picked it because of its proximity to I-5. We're in a tent site that is quiet and by the creek, but the sites are very close together, especially the RV sites. I don't know how people with large rigs navigate the small drives. The pool looked good, but we're not using it. We're also not using the laundry, so i can't speak for that.. The bathrooms are kinda scuzzy. The water spiggots at the tent sites have pump handles that say "not for potable water," which means they probably contain lead, and you should not drink from them. The reviews about the permanent residents are true... there are many, and their sites look very junky, which is ironic, given the "Campground Rules" they make you agree to, which forbid you from having paraphernalia stored outside your RV. I wouldn't consider this a destination campground. With a lot of fixing up and some adherence to "the rules," it could be very nice. But it looks like the maintenance/improvement budget is small. read more

If there were a -5 rating that would describe Ashland Creekside Campground aka "Trailer Park". That would be their score for amenities, cleanliness, customer service, and family friendly accommodations. Upon arrival our family noticed that the photos of this campground did not resemble the park we pulled into. There was caution tape around the play areas, near pool area, and various other locations in the small park. We pulled into spot 38 which was a lovely creekside location. Once we stepped out of our RV we found what resembled hamster litter spread all over our area as a ground cover, not sure what for but found it odd. A pungent smell of propane gas or natural sulfur surrounded our area, it was not our RV leaking fumes. Ashland was experiencing a small heatwave, it was 7:15pm and close to 90 degrees, our kids were hot and we decided to get them into the pool quickly before it closed. When we checked in a few minutes before 7pm the pool was open but when we got there at 7:15pm for a quick cool off all 3 gates were padlocked. This was odd as we had spotted little kids in it upon arrival and one lady with her dog in the pool area. We were disappointed but decided to walk the kids over to the one play area that was not sectioned off by caution tape. The play structure appeared to be new but it was located in a small meadow that was wet and worried me as to why due to the nearby grassy areas having caution tape posted. We took the kids back to our camp spot and decided this was not a place we wanted our children or selves in for the night. While I was on the phone calling the nearby Best Western to check on room availability, my sister had put her blankets in their washing machines. There are also no change machines, the camp store was also closed as well as the recreation center which is listed as an amenity for campers. There were no hours of operation for any of the amenities, including the pool. One of the residents we spoke with advised us that the park managers are, "changing up the rules all the time." We were so lucky to find two rooms at the Best Western and shut down our camp set up and booked it out of this natural disaster of a campground. My sister gathered up her wet blankets from the washing machine (which now had a worse smell then when they went in for cleaning) and ran down the road and jumped into the waiting RV. This is NOT an RV CAMPGROUND, it is filled with permanent residents and should not be allowed to advertise itself as one. It is a Trailer Park and should stick to being one. As we drove out of the park we realized that all of the motor homes we passed were permanently set up and it all became clear, a couple of residents also confirmed they have lived their for over a year. Our camp stay lasted a whole 40 minutes, this is how bad the place is. We have a request in for a refund due to the conditions we described and being unable to stay there. read more

Finding few options on the internet we settled on Ashland Creekside RV park on our way back to CA. We were Pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, and shaded sites with full hookups. There's a lovely stream running through the park with many spaces on the water's edge. There are also restrooms and showers and a nice laundry room. Everything works despite the age of the place. It looks like they're making improvements all the time. I would definitely come back and would recommend creekside to anyone who likes things laid back, on the rustic side and a quick drive into the heart of Ashland. Great place for kids, too. read more

Location is pretty good and near Ashland. Place needs a lot of work and cleanup. Permanent residences have clutter everywhere and have erected temporary shelters that make it look pretty dodgy. Trailers that look like they have been abandoned in their storage area. We were right next to the wifi repeater in #40 space, but connection was internet was intermittent. No issues with water, sewer, and electric hookup. It rained during our overnight stay and it turned into a swamp. Need some gravel on spaces considering this is Oregon and it rains often. We were scheduled for 3 nights but left after one night. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Would like to have taken them up on their invite for with morning coffee but we left early to get out of the mud. If they cleaned this place up and got rid of their permanent residences this place has lots of potential. Might be best to stay at nearby county parks for same price, hookups, and much cleaner conditions. read more

This place is an ugly dump. And it's expen$ive!! It's crowded with RVs parked side by side on gravel, and cars lining the entire drive. Generators were running until shortly after ten PM though somewhere it says quiet time starts at nine. It's dusty with not a blade of grass to be seen around the camp sites. The only green that's visible is weeds, and trees. The small swimming pool looks nice and, together with the checkin area has the only grass. Unfortunately the sprinklers for that came on at 5.00AM and the noise of the water hitting the fence and our RV drove us out by 6.15AM. The staff were very nice but unable to address the mess of the place, of course. Electricity and water were reliable. We would never stay there again; even the I-5 rest areas are more attractive for an overnight stay. read more

I'll start this review by saying that Steven at the check-in office was very nice. It is not his fault the owners are gouging campers. 1. The driveway to check in is very tight-in fact tree branches scraped the side of our rig. 2. It's pretty tight all the way around-if you have a long 5th wheel you might have an issue. We are only 50' total and had to do some backing up to get around the park. 3. They charge $5 to book online. I didn't have any idea, as many parks only allow online reservations. Not happy. 4. The park is only 30amp , which is fine. They have only 10 full hook-up sites, which are around $46-which is fine. The rest are partial, with water and electric only, which is fine. However, they charge $4 more for full hook-up sites vs. partial hook-ups and if you book online, you are charged the extra $5 and end up paying more-not fine. My main issue is that they charged $10 to dump our tanks-NOT FINE. Bottom line, because I booked online I was penalized $5. And because we had partial hook-up site we were penalized with a $10 dump fee. So we ended up paying $57 vs. $46 for a full hookup site. Lastly, their system adjusts pricing based on how many sites are left. So, price goes up as they fill up. I guess that is the new RV world we live in. Needless to say, we won't go back read more

Some may like this type of RV park. What do I mean by "type"? Well, let me tell ya. 1. Off the beaten path. 2. Dusty and unkept. 3. Old briquettes and trash in BBQ and fire ring. 4. Seemingly abandoned and old trailers abound. 5. Dreadful playground. 6. Small tight site (#44 anyway) 7. Ok...ready? Yes, lots of people that live off the grid. Complete with tattoos, scraggly hairdos and some you may think you'd want far away from your children. Not judging, just observing. Good thing to say: 1. Friendly staff 2. Clean but dated restrooms (shower head is one of those high school jets that saves water and stings your skin) 3. Cheap enough. 4. Only one night and we were gone. Couldn't imagine a second night. The accomodations were not as nice as I would have liked, and it did look like some of the residents were indeed RESIDENTS, but overall it was an ok place to stay. You have to back into the campsite, which could be a litte problematic, and the sites are close together, but adequate. There is a stream in back of the campsites which adds some ambience, and there is a pool, although the only play equipment was a tire swing. Not a great place for kids. One disadvantage is that it is some distance from town, so next time I think I'll opt for a place closer in. There were also RV parks near Medford, and that is only 11 miles north easily accessible. It has laundry facilites, as do most RV parks, and WiFi, as well as a game room that I did not try. read more

I would like to give this campground five stars but I can't, so it gets three stars. Early May I made arrangements to camp here. I called a couple days ahead of time and asked for a specific campsite. The person on the other end of the phone was polite and said it was available, and reserved the site for the time I asked, I paid with my credit card and was given a discount. The day I arrived I pulled up to the campsite and it was occupied. The campground manager came and spoke with me. I informed the person in the campsite I reserved and paid for the site and was permitted to park there. The manager apologized and I was offered any open available site in the campground. I felt a paying customer (me) who reserved and paid ahead of time for the campsite should have been allowed to park there instead of someone who did not reserve the site. Being that I was tired from the long drive and needed to settle in, I chose another site. However, I think the management should have asked the person on the site I reserved to move. Later in May, I returned to this campground without making reservations. I felt making reservations is not effective and paying ahead of time is a waste of time due to the last matter. So I arrived and the park host was out front and spoke with me. I was asked what site I had reserved? I told her I didn't and explained the previous matter, she was surprised and said, "what???" After a short debate over the fact I didn't feel comfortable reserving online or over the phone, I was allowed to look for a site. Before I drove away to look for the site I mentioned I have solar and don't need to hook up so I can use a tent site, the host said in a sarcastic tone, "well good for you!" I drove down the tent sites and found one I thought suited me then went to the front to pay at their pay station. I was greeted by the manager. She was friendly and invited me into the office to reserve a site, I went into the office and reserved site #2. Saturday, I was sitting in my RV writing and smelled cigarette smoke. I looked over and saw a lady smoking near my campsite out front of campsite #1. I got out and mentioned I smelled cigarette smoke, the camp host said sorry, I walked back to my RV and resumed my activities. Today, I was writing and heard dogs barking from the RV repeatedly from space #1, they barked at everything passing by, I had a hard time concentrating. Eventually, I decided to speak to the camp host. The camp host had just returned in her car, there was a young man who was at the entry of the RV, I said hello and mentioned the dogs had been barking off and on constantly and sometimes they cried as if something was wrong. He said, "that's what dogs do," in a very sarcastic and dismissive tone of voice. I did not speak to him hateful nor in a confrontational manner beforehand. The camp host got out of her car and said she can't take the dogs with her because of the heat in the car and next time she will close the windows in the RV and turn on the AC. She apologized and I went back to my activities in my RV. I don't want to speak negatively about this campground but the sarcastic tone of voice when I first arrived by the camp host and then the young man who was in her company was uncalled for! I am a paying customer, I also think the site I reserved and paid for I should have been allowed to have camped in instead of it being given to someone who did not reserve the site at all. Now that I write this review I have to wonder how I will be treated in the future if I come back here? I have no ill will towards them I just think I deserve to be treated in a respectful manner that doesn't involve sarcasm. I think the camp manager has a positive disarming approach and has spoken well towards me. We stayed here when the previous owners ran the campground and it was in much better shape. The place has gone downhill and we will never stay here again. We paid for amenities that did not work or were not offered. The pool wan't open, although we were told at check in that it would be while we were there. My husband used the men's showers and out of two bathrooms, only one stall each worked and had long lines to use them. One shower head was missing with scalding hot water coming out of the spout and the other shower had a missing shower head but you could control the temperature. We were told the cable for TV was not working and the wi-fi was terrible. I complained to the office twice, and each time the employees were very condescending and their answers seemed to be rehearsed. There is junk piled up in the Recreation room and the whole campground needs to be attended to. read more

We have stayed here in the past it was a nice RV campground. Unfortunately I have to give them 2 stars because the facility has gone down hill since new ownership. It clearly states they have a 14 max stay but they have a bunch of old junky Rv's with long term residents that have established gardens and have crap all around. They are also nickel and dime you, when you reserve you can pick your spot but when you get to the final checkout this things pops up staying lock in your site for additional money or you could be switched to another site. This park says it is AAA approved but I can't figure out why. The only plus was the bathrooms were clean at least until 4:00 am when a car pulled up and the occupants were taking showers. They looked like they were living in the car. No front gate security obviously. My husband and I were very uncomfortable in the park as there are MANY full time residents living there with all kinds of junk outside the trailers. There were multiple cats roaming freely so tough with our dog. The site we were in had a strong acrid smell like cat urine. We would never go back or recommend to any vacationer. AAA needs to think twice who they approve. read more

Sad & a bit creepy...looks like it was once cute and charming with a pond but now primarily a trailer park for old and unmaintained permanent RVs (some in storage). Lots of junk laying around and place sadly run down needs work. Looks like only a handful of spaces for RV travelers and without full hookups. They moved us from near the creek where permanent RVs reside to a dusty very narrow spot with 30 amps, water, no sewer. The tent area was separate and looked a bit better. On a road trip we decided to stay here a night with our travel trailer since some reviews online were good. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The campground is not well kept, dirt spaces, a mix of permanent and overnight visitors. I liked this place, mostly for the greenery, nice shade trees, quiet atmosphere, decent if steamy bathrooms, and friendly staff. As other reviewers have noted, it appears to have a majority of long term residents, both seasonal RV dwellers from Arizona and impoverished locals. This enabled me to pet a friendly, 3-legged, 1 eared cat one morning. Later, while reading the morning news, I was enveloped in a cloud of passing marijuana smoke, origin unknown. The pool looked clean and cool. We had been assigned a site that was both occupied and too short with our reservation. We were promptly given a suitable site, also shady after 11 am. Nice. I'd rather stay here surrounded by nice shady trees then in some sterile, shade-less RV park. read more

I stayed here in a tent for two weeks while attending a class in Ashland and seeing the plays. Note to all: This is a RV campground albeit one with a little more delightful wilderness then one generally expects right outside a town. Pros: The local residents were a delight and a help while I was there. Some organized an impromptu search when an elderly women got a little lost around the campground while others helped me find the campground supervisors after hours (my class took place during normal hours) to switch campgspots. I was even offered a cute kitten. The management were likewise helpful, helping me rearrange my camping spot so I got a shady powered spot for most of my stay. The price: $24 for a camp site with power, early morning hot showers, and my own personal cold water supply! Cons: Mosquitos- I swear the Pied Piper chased them all out of Ashland and into this particular campground. The RV spots- while it might be easy to back into some of those, one RV almost hit my car (off the road) trying to get into spot 49 and another hit a tree backing into 45. Do talk with the management about the best spot for you- The main road is rather narrow. The approach to the campground: It is fairly far out of town and can be hard to spot, but once you see the mile 4 marker on 66, look to your right and be prepared to brake hard in a quarter of a mile. read more

This is a little campground with friendly people. It had it's pros and cons. Pros: * The roar of the creek. * Proximity to Ashland and easy access from the highway. * Pull through, level sites for the novice RV'er (me!) * Rustic ambiance - this is not one of those boring-yet-pristine RV parking lots. * Nice looking tent sites. I agree with a previous poster - site 39 looks very cool, across the creek all by itself. Cons: * It's quite run-down. For instance, one of the showers in the women's rest room had no pressure. Our 30A connection at our campsite looked like it had had a meltdown. Neither was a show stopper, there was also a good shower and we luckily had a 20A adapter. But still... * Icy cold pool! * Sad little playground. * Strange section of run down campers, miscellaneous vehicles and buildings in the center of the campground was just a bit creepy. Also, I don't understand why campgrounds don't fence in their dog-run areas. It would be so awesome to have some leash-free running room for the puppies. read more

It's my first time at Ashland Creek and I will say, it's beautiful. There are several RVs & people who live here so if you're looking for privacy and true nature camping, this may be a little out of your view. My camp site was originally 39 which was over a cute little bridge and right off the river bed. However, due to technology it was double booked. When I called management the gentleman was very very polite and apologetic about the whole situation. He guided to me to other available camp sites and I ended up at 49. It's behind where RVs are backed into with reasonable amount of space from your site & their RVs but not far enough for privacy & heads up they have availability to look into your site. Any how, the site was literally off the stream and it had so much beautiful coverage with trees and shrubs. There was a picnic bench, an electric outlet and a fire pit. Not bad for the lack of privacy. The natural sound of running water was so beautiful to relax to. This place is nice and although there was a mix up, I look forward to coming back and I haven't even left yet. read more

Heaven with blackberries! Really, heaven is what we experienced here. Of course, having a thicket of blackberries surrounding our site helped. But there was also a huge tree overhanging so we were in shade the whole day. We lucked out with a super secluded spot, which allowed the dogs to chill out instead of having to deal with lots of kids and other dogs and stuff. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We came in late, there was a list of available sites. It ended up being a prefect site right on the creek. We went to sleep to the sound of a babbling creek.
