Place is riddled with rats. Our entire house is ruined. DO NOT GET A UNIT HERE! They refuse to refund stating that its in the contract....nowhere in the contract does it specify RATS. Rats and More Rats. Keep your stuff in rat proof and dust proof containers. Finally got out of there. For a while it wasn't an issue, but the last couple years it has gotten worse. They will probably try to charge me because I didn't sweep all the dirt, bird feathers and rat droppings. No, way was I doing that. Two truck loads to the dumps. Never use Emigrant Storage on Howard way in Sparks. The are filthy. Dirt and dust gets into the units. They are way overpriced For what they offer. I emptied my unit today and found that an almost new carpet cleaner was missing. Also missing was a set of very nice dishes that were my deceased mothers. My daughter had several game cartridges missing. I told the lady in the office. She said " I don't know what to tell you". And turned away. Very unprofessional. If you want yr generator or catalytic converter stolen because they only have a 6ft fence be sure to give them yr business.

Theft, theft, theft! Two times we've had our RV vandalized here. Last time it cost us $1800 because they stole our Cat converter. The lady at the front desk (whom is unqualified and very unhelpful) said they have all kinds of this stuff happening at their properties and they cant stop it. We went in multiple times for the video footage and they kept saying the guy wasn't in. This place makes so much money and they don't even watch their yards. Then you have to deal with people who work there that are clueless! Lol, y'all are a joke and should treat the community better. If you have a Ford F450 and you keep here watch out they're hitting em bad. read more

In a pinch, having to store some very heavy stuff in a hurry - Emigrant Storage was typical. The location was ok, the facilities were standard, the security seemed adequate. BUT the personnel was great. I only had a brief encounter with this staff, but when I needed their forklift service, Danny was a pleasant help. I was stressed trying to figure out how to get a huge toolbox into a step van and Danny was very helpful. It didn't require much, and he didn't make a big deal out of it. I was done loading my stuff in probably 15 minutes. Bravo! And yes, the office staff was pleasant as well, even a bit accommodating even though I was vacating my unit. Finally the price was real good. read more

Place sucks. Only allowed to be at unit 2 hours before they accuse you of sleeping and kick you out. Even if your victim of domestic violence. You get 2 hours to try to sort out your life then your gone read more

I have two 10 x 22 units which I found very clean when I rented them. I have rented units here before as well as other family members. They have always been pleased with Emigrant's service as have I. Reasonable rates, neat and clean facilities, good security and friendly staff. Other storage facilities charge you for the entire month even if you leave earlier than the end of your contract where Emigrant will refund the days you do not use or in my case I switched to a larger unit and they transferred the fees to the new one. They did this very quickly which I very much appreciated. A very efficient and user friendly business. read more

I have used Emigrant Storage at Howard in Sparks multiple times over the past few years. They have always been very kind, professional, and accommodating. I have never had an issue with the personnel. I particularly like that, minus the first month, they will prorate the days used and refund you the remainder when you close the unit. It alleviates the pressure of having to close a unit before the next billing cycle. read more

If 0 stars was an option that's what I would choose. My husband was driving down the street last week and the workers there had him stopped in the middle of the road. They wanted him to back up IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. My husband didn't move back, so the worker from Emigrant Storage jumped out of his truck saying, "Back the fuck up!" My husband then rolled down his window and yelled that he was not going to back up in the middle of the road. The worker then came towards my husbands car screaming, "Get the fuck out of your car now. I'm gonna beat your ass." My husband stayed in the car. Then the worker said, "If you don't move I'm gonna chop your head off and dispose of your body." Word for word. I'm not kidding. We couldn't believe this man. My husband called the storage facility and their reply was, "He said you threatened him first. He's a good worker." This man is psychotic, and their facility doesn't even care. We are considering contacting the police about this threatening matter. No human should act that way, especially when you're working for a company. read more
