Although it was warm outside today, we sat under their covered bench table with the creek in back of us. The service was great and attentive! We decided to order the Deluxe Grill Mix ($175) which came with a variety of meats on top of some grilled vegetables and salad. There were a variety of steak cuts and were all well seasoned and tender. Their fries were closer to a thick potato chip but still tasty and crispy. The Deluxe Grill Mix came along with a large platter of hummus along with a bowl of chopped salad and pitas. Hummus tasted fresh and had a great smooth texture which complemented well with the pitas. The chopped salad was refreshing but needed a pinch of salt. There's also a little trail in the back along the creek that was great after our meal. Overall, I really enjoyed my lunch here and would recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little off the beaten path. What a nice place to grab lunch! Outdoors and nestled beside a bumbling creek near the Poconos, and about a 15 min drive to Camelback mountain. Relaxed and casual atmosphere. Casual, Mediterranean food, mostly grilled and flavorful. They offer breakfast/brunch options as well. We had the Koby Pita burger, the Steak Pita burger, Grilled platter for 2 and the chicken platter. Flavorful meats, on-the-house fried pita chips with sauces, and good coffee and lattes. Service was friendly, and Chef Felix came to our table to clarify our orders, it was a good thing he did because 2 of our orders were wrong but it was corrected asap. There is also a 10-15 min walk each way by way of a trail beside the creek if you guys want to make your stay a bit longer. We went down to the creek to skip rocks along the trail. I have never experienced such poor service at a restaurant in my 41 years of life. First, making a reservation was a pain because there's no way to speak to an actual person on the phone. Unfortunately, the terrible experience didn't stop there. Our waitress was honestly on another planet. And it wasn't because the restaurant was busy--there were barely any customers there. There was absolutely no reason for the level of confusion and inattentiveness we experienced. We ordered 3 waters, 2 lemonades, and a mocktail, and somehow even the drink order was wrong. Then our food orders were messed up, and we waited about 30 minutes for what should have been very simple meals. Two of our guests ordered the exact same chicken pita. One came out, while we were told they were still "working on" the other. Eventually, my guests got so frustrated that they left without eating. Everyone else's food came out, but theirs still hadn't. When the food finally arrived, we asked for it to be boxed to go--and somehow, they STILL forgot one of the meals. We didn't realize it until we had already paid and gotten home. On top of the service issues, they were out of a ridiculous number of items on the menu. I asked for the soup of the day and was told, "Oh, we don't have soup today. That's for when it's like... colder out." Two people wanted chicken skewers and were told, "We don't have chicken skewers. We don't have any skewers." A Mediterranean restaurant that doesn't have skewers? Seriously? Then there was the issue with my husband's order. He ordered one of the chicken entrees, and the waitress repeatedly asked, "So, the chicken pita?" He said no, he wanted the chicken entrée. She asked again, "So, the chicken pita?" I eventually had to grab the menu, point directly to the entrée, and show her what he wanted--and she STILL asked if he wanted the chicken pita. It was genuinely bizarre. She wasn't just overwhelmed or having a bad night--she seemed completely disconnected from what was happening around her. With so few customers in the restaurant, there really was no excuse for this level of confusion and lack of attention. Between the incorrect orders, missing food, 30-minute wait for simple meals, constantly being told they were out of menu items, and the overall bizarre service, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We called there to make sure they could accommodate our party of ten later that night. We were assured that there was indoor seating for us. We arrived at out appointed time. The indoor seating was actually a covered porch with a long picnic table to accommodate our party of ten. There was another table for four and then a smaller high top table. There were also propane heaters to take the chill off. The menu is limited but excellent. There is no children's menu but there are steak & chicken options for kids. We ordered chicken and steak platters and a lamb burger. Everything was cooked to perfection. We ordered medium sized hummus. The hummus was delicious and was served with pita bread snd lavash bread. We also ordered an Israeli salad which was also excellent. You order the food at the window inside but everything is delivered by the staff. He staff is very friendly and attentive.
