Emilio happily services your tired worn soles in a non-descript shop shared with a jewelry seller (who may be related to him) and he also does watch repair and sells winter accessories. Like any shoe place, it smells of fresh polish and is cluttered with year's worth of shoe supplies, in progress projects, and ephemera. I've used Emilio twice, both for heel replacements. My husband dropped off two pairs of dress shoes for re-soling and polish. For heels, replacing the stiletto pad is $7. A full sole replacement on men's shoes is $38, but includes a full polish and all the coloring work to make sure the new soles look like a proper match. We're satisfied with the work (but we're also not talking about super expensive shoes or high end work). Its cheaper than getting the work done in Midtown or going to buy another pair of shoes. That said, Emilio is open on weekdays from about 7 am to about 5 pm. It's not terribly convenient hours, but if its on your way, its not a bad deal. I would advise taking a picture of your shoes before giving them to Emilio - both times I've gone its taken Emilio more than 5 minutes to find the shoes. Having a picture on hand should speed that up. CASH ONLY

Replaced heels! You can barely tell which one he had to fill in from having worn it down unevenly.

I bought a pair of relatively inexpensive boots online that I absolutely adored. Of course the downside of buying cheap boots, is they sometimes fall apart. Within the second wear, the heel came off. Being as obsessed with them as I was, I kept wearing them despite one missing. In the process I completely wore down one heel. When I brought them into Emilio's, with the chunk of heel, he immediately threw out the piece that had come off, let me know it was garbage, and that what he would give me was "not garbage." $15 later and VERY quickly, he not only replace the heels on BOTH boots, but completely filled in the the 1/2 inch of heel that was missing. I can barely tell which one he fixed. Photos included. Can't wait to unload my closet of damaged shoes on him.

Amazing! They did an excellent job repairing my old platform heels from the 80s that were falling apart. Thank you!

I have been using this Shoe repair from my HS days at Brooklyn Tech. In the 80's. Good craftsmanship and reliable.

Family owned old school friendly shop. Great work rebuilding a classic pair of shoes I couldn't give up. Thanks!

Brought a broken heel to be fixed and Emilio did it at the moment, no waiting time, can't get better than that. I am definitely coming back.

I stopped in with my favorite sneaker steeped in someone's leftover chewing gum. He made them look like new in no time flat! Thank you!

Emilio also repainted the heel on a pair of black boots where the color was peeling off.

I have a pair of leather sandals I bought in Italy from a street vendor in 2014. I wore them so much that the rubber soles began peeling away only a few years into owning them, and I've kept them in my shoe closet for maybe about 9 years since. I finally decided to look into getting them repaired. Michael had done such a wonderful job with replacing my worn-out nomasei moccasin soles, that I came back to see if he could revive my sandals. The new soles he put on have more traction and are much better quality than the original soles, and I'm thrilled to that my shoes that I'm quite sentimental about can be worn again. Thanks Michael!

Slow and difficult service. Would not come back here for watch repair. No call and when I showed up they were ready but one of the bands was not connected to the watch and only one guy could fix so I had to come back. Said I'd get a call when ready but I did not. Then i realized light wasn't working on one of my fixed watches. Dropped that off when i picked up the last watch. To pick up the third watch again was told I'd get a call but did not. Waited a week and came back and he said maybe I didn't know what button to press for the light which still wasn't working as usual. Said I'd need to buy a new one they couldn't fix light. That's fine but don't tell me it's bc I don't know how to use my own watch.
