Craving minestrone soup, went to Emilio's on a Friday night. Paid $7.50 for a cup of soup. It was made with... cheap store bought Farfalle pasta (the bowtie one)??? Poor choice in pasta. Did not hold up well in soup. It had very few vegetables in it and very watered down tomato soup base. The only seasoning was salt. A lot of salt. And a touch of pepper. Came with 2 breadsticks, they were bland but the right texture. Service was silly bad. Two teenagers, one who didn't know how to use the register. Didn't know bread came with the soup. Charged me the wrong amount, but was nice enough when I explained it and it was settled. The small front room was packed with crabby people waiting for their food. One lady was waiting for a chicken parm for an hour. It was tight and uncomfortable. I waited over a half hour for them to pour the premade soup into a to-go cup and put the premade bread into a bag. Placed an order. While doing so I asked about the prices, to confirm,and was told they were correct. After paying one of the two items I ordered was a dollar more. I wouldn't bother mentioning that, but then, my now $14.50 sub had no oil and vinegar, and was so thin that it was a joke. Where I work, we order pizza couple times a month and big dinner orders at least once a month- our residents that have meetings or gathering here at the Club House order delivery constantly from Emilios, so much so they know the delivery crew by a first names basis. Ordering is pretty simple and they have an extensive menu from appetizers, hot/cold sandwiches to pies and main entrees, pretty much everything I have had here has been great, I like the mushroom & pepperoni pie with extra sauce to dip (again packaged for traveling well) and the meatball parm sub is HUGE enough for 3 meals! Delivery has been on time, food that is expected to be hot is, and the salads are not a wilted yucky mess of sogginess. I really hate to leave a bad review but the pizza here remains some of the worst in the area. The pizza is covered with drops of oily cheese, bland metallic-tasting sauce, and a crust that tastes stale, burned, and sad. We went to Emilio's for the first time since covid restrictions were lifted. The food was good, Chicken Parm, but it didn't have the wonderful flavor we experienced on many past visits prior to Covid. The service was very good. Also when we got the bill there was a "non cash charge adjustment" added to our bill. When I called later for an explanation I was told that the credit card machine added that charge, he was trying to imply that he didn't have a choice. Emilio's does have a choice about adding that charge to your bill and I did explain that I didn't think it was a good idea because I didn't like to see the charge and I didn't like his explanation. I think if they are going to use this charge in the future they should post a big sign up front that explains that if you use a credit card at Emilio's you can expect "non cash charge adjustment" added to your bill. It is not likely that we will return. read more

They are very good with Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Dairy Free (and all three together) customers. I have eaten here and taken out food many times. Always delicious! I love all of their sauces. Very large portions and reasonable prices. A great value. I especially appreciate that they offer so many gluten free choices. My vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free friend loved the vegetable pasta with marinara sauce (It is not on the menu, they just made it when he asked and added extra mushrooms too!). I hate to write a bad review, as the food is passable. But my issue is the service which is terrible, and the person in charge this evening has the poorest customer service skills, so it is understandable that the kids working there take their cues from him. I was standing in front of the counter picking up an order, with money in hand and food getting cold on the counter while 2 youngsters answered phone call after phone call. When I complained about being ignored, the person in charge came out of the back and started berating me for complaining, stating "somebody is gonna be unhappy". Now one call is one thing. Making me wait while my dinner gets cold so you can answer 3 or 4 other callers is ridiculous. First time spouse and I went I had Bolognese (creamy ground beef, carrots.) Request for no peas honored. Get your choice of pasta (rigatoni for me.) Spouse had rigatoni with sausage. He finished it all! Second time I had linguine w/white clam sauce. Very tasty! Some HUGE pieces of clams had to be cut up. Spouse had rigatoni with vodka sauce. Again - he finished all, and I took home my leftovers (including a lonely breadstick.) Obviously, BOGO is a great offer, but would consider going back, as entrees are reasonably priced in the first place. Friendly wait staff. Good for families, seniors, locals, tourists. On Sunday, Jan 11, 2015, went to Emilios, Jackson, to pick up dinner for my husband and me. As usual they don't believe in using paper or plastic bags for dinner orders. I had ordered, 3 dishes with tomato sauce. I noticed the top dish, has sauce around the cover but did not think it would be an issue. The next morning, I went to put on the coat I wore to pick up the order and it was covered with sauce. I was annoyed as I had just taken the coat out of the cleaners. I went back to Emilios to speak to the owner. Upon explaining the issue, the owner, the young, tall man, blantanly accused me of trying to get reimbursed for "a poor cleaning job of my coat".Obviously he does not understand English, so I explained the issue to him AGAIN.. Nastily he said, "get it cleaned and I will pay you for it. We always make sure our dinners are packaged "properly. Well you didn't. I told him where to take his money.
