This restaurant is sooo good! Vine hace 3 años y regresar me recordó lo amazing que es. House Salad, tortellini, Upside Down Square Pizza y Peter's Special! todo delicioso. A mi esposo le encantó y yo amo este lugar. El staff es súper amable. Shout out to Orlando, Luis & John gracias por el excelente servicio!

Got Brooklyn Square pizza to go and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The pizza shop is clean and you can tell it's the real deal as soon as you walk in. The employees were super friendly and the service was great. The square slices I got were super flavorful and had the perfect amount of fluffy dough to crispy crust. I'm happy to report that Brooklyn square pizza has perfected the ratio!

Awesome square pizza here! Great crust and flavorful sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. They make fantastic round pizzas as well, but go with the square. You won't regret it!

Always good service and the quality of the squares is second to none. The owner is a real gentleman. Milo gives a 5 paw rating

Won't put the video together for a few days still probably, but finally had the opportunity to check out Brooklyn Square today in Jackson. We got a half upside down square and a half "Gravesend" which was fresh mozz, peeled tomato sauce, grana padano, and fresh basil. Both were incredible, and this is coming from someone who spent his youth eating square slices IN Brooklyn. The crust was light and airy with a unique taste, great fresh tasting sauce on both, and high quality cheese. The owner was a super friendly guy and this is priced around what I'd expect. Portnoy gave them an 8.9 and he's not even into this style of pizza (not that I always agree with him anyway haha). Brooklyn Square absolutely - Didn't Suck! Doesn't get much better than Brooklyn Square Pizza in Jackson, NJ. 1st Timers tonight, we ordered an Upside Down Square pie, a chicken parm dinner, and a stuffed shells dinner. HUGE portions. The pizza was one of the Best I've had anywhere, it was that awesome. Crisp undercarriage, but light & airy on the inside. And the sauce...that sauce was phenomenal. Had an ever so slight kick to it also. Nice tang. My wife's chicken parm dinner was outstanding, she loved it. Service was stellar, Donna was very attentive & personable. Don't think I can't heap any more praise on Brooklyn Square, but they certainly deserve it. Can't wait for a return visit !

    Calamari (very good)

A coworker alerted me to this place, so I met a friend here recently to see if his claims were true. My friend was watching her carbs so it was up to me to figure out what pie to order, I knew that the upside down was the signature here, so I asked for that with garlic and shrooms on half......but was coerced by the owner to skip the garlic. Heresy! But I went along with it, he was very passionate about the product and wanted me to try it as he intended. We noshed on very good fried calamari while waiting for the massive pie to bake. We'd get that again. Her chicken panini arrived first and it looked and tasted great, no photo. The pie took several minutes to cool down, this specimen starts with fresh mozzarella on the crust, copious sauce is added and a layer of pecorino Romano tops it off. The sauce is a touch sweet but not too sweet, just enough to reduce acidity. The crust while being as thick as a Sicilian is a little bit airier, but perfectly crispy on bottom and sides. The pecorino adds a sharp contrast to sauce and creamy mozzarella. Very well done. This pie fed me for the next few days and I even had to freeze the last slice! I enjoyed it reheated just as much as the first serving. When I return I'll try the thinner square pie and hopefully I'll be allowed the garlic. The owner and entire staff are very friendly. If I lived nearby I'd be getting slices here a few times a week. We plan on returning.

I ordered the pork chop and I swear it melted in my mouth faster than my paycheck disappears on Amazon. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and seasoned so well I almost stood up and applauded in the middle of the restaurant. Then came dessert... the cannoli cake. Whoever invented that deserves their own national holiday. Out of this world doesn't even describe it. I took one bite and immediately started questioning every other dessert I've ever eaten in my life. The staff was awesome, the atmosphere was great, and honestly I'd probably fight a small bear for another slice of that cake.

Many of our friends have recommended Clarizio's to us but every time we gave thought about coming it has been particularly difficult to get a reservation on a Saturday night. I was working late on Saturday, so I was unaware that my husband was able to make a reservation for 8:30PM. Reservations are not made through Open Table. Instead, Clarizio's website send you to another site called Resy to make a reservation. What was shocking and disappointing is that Clarizio's hold your credit card number to secure the reservation and if you don't show a $25 fee is charged. My husband was so worried that they were going to count us as a no show because we were running a little late. He even tried to call to inform them that we were running late, but no one answered the phone. Luckily, Clarizio's called us because we were about 10 min late to inquire our whereabouts and we had just turned into the restaurant parking lot. Upon arrival, the hostess took us to a table set for 2 in a crowded dining room with all other tables holding large parties. Although it was crowded it did not take away anything from our wonderful dining experience! Our waiter John P was extremely nice and helpful especially after he learned that it was our first time dining here. Unfortunately, I was unaware that it was BYOB because I was working and was unable to check the website. Our waiter John eased our minds by saying that it was okay and that we would have to rely on their food to make a good impression. That certainly was no disappointment! Our food was so terrific, that we cannot wait to return and taste so many other delicious sounding items on their menu. John also told us that unless we have huge appetites, their entree portions were large enough to share. We were glad to take John's suggestion and shared the Zuppa di Pesce which was plentiful of shellfish in a tomato broth over angel hair pasta. We have had this dish in many other Italian restaurants and this was one of the best! This entree also came with one salad and I asked for an extra salad for me since we were sharing the entree. Not to go unnoticed was the crunchy outside and soft inside delicious bread. For dessert, we shared the Tiramisu suggested by John as it was his personal favorite. It was so light and flavorful that we too could make it our personal favorite! All in all this was a fabulous dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant! Next time though, I will remember to bring a bottle of wine.

Anyway we went over the menu and the expected # of guests and set the date and the estimated cost of the luncheon. Day of the luncheon came, tables were beautifully set in a very roomy side room. We BYOB'd it and they had ice waiting for us to chill the wine and bread & butter was on the table. Dessert was choice of Cannoli, cheesecake or tiramisu Beverage: Coffee, tea, water, soda Servers were exceptional, smiling, attentive, friendly and although they were very much present, they did not hover, shadow, very professional, considering the occasion- fantastic staff. Food was delicious- everyone commented on the dishes they chose and how much each portion was, huge compliments to the chef and staff. However, my friends and I were elated to see they had a great offer going on: 2 for $45. Each person gets a soup or salad, an appetizer to share, and an entree. This was as of February 2025 - unsure if this deal is still being offered. The Cesar salad was not my favorite, I didn't like the dressing and thought it was almost on the sweeter side? My friend and I ordered the meatballs to share. The meatballs were tender and absolutely delicious. The sauce was excellent. One of my favorites of the night. Since we were a group of four, a pair of us each did the 2 for $45 and we decided to share the entrees as a way to sample everything. We got two orders of the chicken parm, the gemelli bolognese, and the vodka rigatoni. My favorite of the three was by far the bolognese. The undertones of the tomato were greatly present and the meat was tender and hearty. The chicken parm was fine, nothing to write home about. The sauce for the vodka rigatoni tasted like more time was needed for the vodka to evaporate while being cooked. For a Thursday night, the room was well filled in their small and cozy, yet simple dining room. We had very attentive service all night long and our water glasses were always full. This is a nice restaurant and I hope to come back and try more offerings, especially the pizza.

It's got a bit of heat to it but not so much that a person who had spicy issues wouldn't eat it. There was also a generous portion that the four of us had plenty for all. We also tried The Boy's Favorite which is a couple of meatballs and sausage smothered in sauce and mozzarella. This is another app that we have had before and rarely do we not have it. And again plenty for the four of us to share. For my meal I had the Shrimp Alfredo which was Alfredo sauce with onions, peas, prosciutto and the Alfredo sauce. And there could be no complaints on the lack of any of the ingredients as there was plenty of shrimp and prosciutto. After having the appetizers I still left with enough of my meal for probably 3 lunches. The others had great meals some of which they had in the past. My only issue was the service and time to get the food. While we placed the order for apps and the meal at the same time it took 45 minutes for the meals to come out. The apps came out in a fair amount of time, but three tables that ordered after we had our apps, had their meals come out 5-10 minutes before ours. We had a one year old with us and the anxiety to not cause others an issue was at the top of our thoughts. I'm going to attribute this one bad night and will return because the foods so good. But I pray the delivery time is better as our waitress kept telling us the foods almost there and I actually felt bad for her.
