I bought a coupon for emission test from Groupon and ended up to this place. My appointment was early in the morning, so the place was pretty much empty. I was greeted as soon as I entered the store and they finished the test in less than 9-10 minutes (I was very surprised). I've been coming here for 3-4 years now and unfortunately it's time for that to end. If you want a quick walk-in emissions test after waiting 10-15min for someone to check you in they can do that. If you require any other car service go literally anywhere else unless you have no where to be. They allow you to book in advance but I can confidently say that since the dedicated front desk person stopped working there, your appointment literally doesn't matter at all. If you have any non emissions related service they will prioritize those over your other services every. Single. Time. I've tried booking first thing in the morning, the person opening didn't show up till about 25 minutes after open. Most recently I came in for a scheduled brake service. I waited around for 30 minutes after my appointment time. The person I first spoke to said they'd be back, after waiting so long I went to leave only to have them stop me and claim they could squeeze me in and finish the job in about 45 min. Since they prioritized emissions testing walk ins I ended up waiting a total 2 hours and 30 minutes for something they told me would take 45 minutes total. I would have kept walking if the technician didn't lie to me. Lesson learned. Do. Not. Get. Your. Brakes. Done. Here. It's a real shame because they use to be so great in the past at this location. I'd come here for most regular maintenance. I hope they turn it around back to the good service they use to provide in years past. read more

I was ROBBED! Came to drop off a uhaul truck and was told I could just leave the keys. They didn't actually count it as a return and charge me for an extra day. I called later in the week to get a refund back and they said it should take 5 days max. Two weeks later still haven't received the refund , now they're saying they can't find my contract would rate this place 0 stars if I could. read more

We bought a Groupon to get our emissions test and registration done here. $29 for the emissions test - a good deal. But when we arrived, they had absolutely NO system in place for social distancing or customer safety of any kind, barring one half empty squirt bottle of sanitizer on the counter. Not a single member of staff wore a face mask (isn't that illegal at the moment?), the cashier did not wear gloves (although when he went out to do something to a car, he put gloves on for that!!?!), there were old magazines strewn across a coffee table (also illegal currently) in the waiting room and the chairs were stuffed in there until there was hardly room for people to enter. No one was sitting in the chairs, so I'm not sure what the point of them was. We had to wait for ten minutes to check in with the cashier. During that time, seven other customers came in (I counted), not a single one wearing a face mask and all had total disregard for any kind of social distancing. The cavalier, blasé attitude of the staff and most of the customers towards not just their own health but the health of others was shocking. There was one other customer who came in wearing a mask and she did respect social distancing, which was nice to see. I know the staff can't make people social distance but they can post a sign requiring masks in their waiting room and make it not only possible for people to keep their distance from other customers, but put barriers up or marks on the floor for this purpose. The emissions test itself was very quick, which was good. But again there was no system in place to protect either staff or customers during the payment process - bare hands, no masks, touching credit cards and keys. It was all frankly pretty disturbing in the current climate. Under normal circumstances, I would've given this place 3.5 stars for being quick but with a dirty waiting area. But I feel like two stars is generous at the moment. If a health inspector came into their waiting room at the moment they could be shut down or at the very least cited for staff not wearing masks, not enforcing social distancing and having grubby magazines out on a table. Spend the extra ten dollars and go somewhere where they actually respect your life. read more

I found this place last year in 2018 they have a great price for your emissions, they are fast quick and very polite. Gunder was very friendly and had a positive attitude the whole time! I will definitely be back next year when it's time for emissions! read more

Who here like to go get their car looked at? Not me. I swear I am always getting overcharged and pushed around since I don't know much about cars. Yet as soon as my boyfriend and I came here we spoke with Mr. Gunder Hansen and he made our experience painless and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. He even gave me an extension cord to charge my phone since he could tell I was struggling. Talk about some great customer service. Reserved a 17' UHaul truck 2 1/2 weeks in advance. Showed up at 9:00am only to be told they didn't have the keys. Spent 30 minutes waiting while they looked for keys and made phone calls. Was told they wouldn't give me one of the other trucks that were currently parked, and that I'd have to drive to another location to get a (smaller) truck. Wasted my time and the general attitude was "tough luck." No real attempt to fix the problem. Why is there only one set of keys? Go elsewhere. read more

Don't go here!! Any other location is going to treat you better than Emission Time!! Matt Flueh is the Uhaul Manager on site and I feel he was very rude and unhelpful. He didn't perform a walk around even though I requested one. Even though the vehicle was in good shape he did not provide me with the customer support and attention that I felt we deserve. He lied about the gas level and charged me an additional $58 bucks in fuel fees even though I only drove the truck 34 miles and I put more gas in than I used. I even proved a gas receipt as proof. Emission time is a great establishment! Very professional and helpful. I worked with Gunder and he helped me with my windshield, air filter (which he had to order and pick up from down the street) , as a women I truly appreciate when mechanics give it to me strait and genuinely help me out. Not too happy with Emission Time today. Matt Flueh refused to give my vehicle a pass on the safety inspection because the plastic lever attached to the cable to open the hood was broken, and we use a pair of pliers kept in the pocket of the driver's door to pull the cable. The safety inspection manual says "reject if the hood can not be opened." Matt admitted that the hood was opened during the inspection, and thus could by definition be opened, but still took the stance that because the cable could not be pulled using the hand alone, the car failed. I paid for a second inspection with my regular mechanic, who promptly certified that the vehicle passed. Next time I'll just go straight to someone who I trust to make a reasonable interpretation of the rules. read more

Don't ever go here! The manager, Gunder, is very unprofessional. They have no concern for their customers' vehicles. They got oil all over our steering wheel and hood (damaging our PlastiDip wrap paint job) and will not own up to it nor work toward a resolution when we confronted them. Spoke to a Sandy police officer and he knows of this place and Gunder well and recommends we never go back. Still awaiting to hear back from owner on resolution. I've never had to leave a business review like this before. Beware where you take your vehicles. read more

When I came in for my Emissions and Safety inspections, they noticed my oil was black and asked me when the last time was I got an oil change, It had only been a couple weeks and did not want to pay for another oil change. He told me that they would do a free Engine flush if I came to them for an oil change. I couldn't afford it at the time so I asked to come in another time for that. Well next time I came in they denied ever saying that to me, they gave me a small little discount that was barely anything. I hate how they lied to me not to mention the manager was extremely rude to me. I am never coming here again. read more

I used to come to this place any time I needed to get my fiance's emissions & safety done. They also do uhaul so when we moved we went here to get our uhaul and the front desk guy, Gunder was incredibly rude, barking at me about cleaning fees and mileage/gas levels! I couldn't believe how unprofessional this guy was! He made me feel really insecure like I was doing something wrong just by asking simple questions like can you come around the truck with me to document any existing damage before I leave. Since Mikey left this place turned to absolute shit. I came to get my oil changed, my window fixed, and my windshield wiper arms fixed. They quoted me at $211 for a part that I couldn't find anywhere in the valley for more than $145 and $150 for labor. My windshield wipers didn't even get looked at. When I came out to my car to leave my door panel was still split and I couldn't open it and it took them ten minutes to come open my door. If I could give negative stars, I would. read more

My experience at Emission time was horrible had new Motor mounts installed on my car last year only drove my car 7200 miles last year they failed my car for worn out motor mounts My mechanic told me not a thing wrong or worn on the mounts replaced with new mounts and went to an other station I will not ever go back to Emission time. I and telling evey one what they did to me. The parts cost $60 and 20 min to put them in they wanted $200 Emission time in my opinion are scamers read more

Do not go to this place for any safety inspections. They will lie about something that doesn't have a problem to get extra money from you. I was told that my rear brake needed to be replaced. They wanted $150 to replace my rear brake shoes. Went home to do the repair to find that they were like new and did not have any problem. Took my car back and showed them with a digital caliper that they were fine. Still they said they would not pass the safety inspection. I told them I was going to call the highway patrol and have them look at it since they set the laws for safety inspections. They then passed my safety inspection. This company is very dishonest. read more
