I've been coming to this nail salon for a few months ago and I was always happy with how my nails were coming out and how gentle they were with the nails. Well this last Friday I want got a pedi and nails done. The pedi was done by a very nice young lady 10/10 but when it came to the nails... all I asked was for a French tip & a flower on my ring finger. And the lady who did my nails I believe her name is Daisy... she was having a hard time, the nails kept looking patchy/spotty and she tried to fixed them but they were just looking weird. So I was already fluster and I felt bad because she wasn't able to get the nails to look smooth. For this I requested cat eye for all the nails and called it a day. But even those they came out super thick... it's only been 3 days and the nails are already shipping. read more

Came here to try, it had mixed reviews but I was looking for a place near me. My full set was not good, one of the nails was crooked and I asked for stiletto and she gave me almond. When I asked her to fix it, she said it was correct , I literally had to point to the picture on the wall to tell her it was wrong. My pedicure was good, it was done by a man, and he was sweet and took his time. But the vibe itself felt like they didn't really want to help new customers out. I think I found another gem in San Dimas. I usually go to another nail spot in the Albertsons shopping center but I wanted to try another nail tech specifically for my nails. Emma's is in a very small parking lot but they have additional parking in the back. The shop is cute and very clean. I think it was Emma who did my nails. Today was the second time I've been there and I do see myself as a repeat customer. I'm one of those girls who constantly need their nails done, to feel good, girly and I'm one to always look at them. I noticed the last time I went I really liked the shape & the way the French tip design was painted on exactly how I asked. Today was no different. I opted for a cat eye design and they came out beautifully done. Prices are just as much as any other nail salon is San Dimas so don't expect it to be cheap. I also noticed this salon has only 2 girls working so do make an appointment. I love to check out nail salons and this place has to be one of my top 3 I've been to. read more

Its been 6 months since i last got a mani/pedi. I am in the health/medical field and also do lots of crafty stuff with my hands..you know cooking and cleaning included i did not have a regular nail salon to trust my ugly nails with until i accidentally one late weekend night found myself calling last minute and able to get my nails done with 10mins of me calling for an appt. This little cute nail place was once owned by another..so when i first drove into the little strip shopping center the store is located in..the sign above the storefront read "L&K"...with a little cute sign "Emma Nails" on the ground..Bright, cute and clean salon. Emma and her other nail lady (who did my pedicure) are so welcoming and nice. So attentive and very respectful to my needs CONGRATULATIONS EMMA on your new place of business!!! Got my nails done here, got acrylics and it seemed okay. But as my nail grew out I realized there was a ring of fire starting from the acrylic to my natural nail. I wasn't totally against it at first but I for sure wasn't going to come back after that first time. However I made the mistake of going back to get the acrylics off. No pre soak for the acrylics to come off. They filed down the nail a ton before basically ripping off the acrylic from my nail, leaving the nail bed raw and thin. I mean I could have done that at home but I came to pay $15 for them to rip it off themselves I guess. Only after being unsuccessful in ripping off the acrylic from some nails, did they decide to soak it and after the soak more ripping. Great. After she filed down my natural nail to even out the ripped parts. Now my nails are super thin. And I suspect another ring of fire will be present once my natural nail grows out again. Needless to say. Wouldn't recommend and I will not be coming back to this salon for their poor nail care. read more

Ive have been coming to Emma's for a few months now and each time I am completely satisfied. The shop is a quite relaxing environment, very very clean inside and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Mia has done my pedicure twice and it is such a great experience. She also has done a really great job with eyebrow and upper lip wax service. Emma, the owner does such a good job on nails whether it's a full set of gel x or building gel with Russian manicure I'm always happy when I leave. My daughter had a full set done by another gal I didn't get her name but they are absolutely lovely! Thank you ladies!!! read more

I walked in on a Thursday around 2:00 pm. There were 2 people getting their nails attended to. I asked if they had time for a mani-pedi, I also explained my thumb nails are really thin and brittle. I was accommodated. Mia started on my feet. And Gracie on my hands. No one explained price, didn't hand me the price sheet... I talked about my thumb nails and requested Gel protection; it's a layer of a special gel to protect thin, brittle nails.... Gracie hesitated .. I told her I just wanted my thumbs done. I pointed to her nails which had the gel bonding/layering on them. I said that would be perfect for me! She grabbed the gel and began applying on thumbs... I asked if she were going to finish up my horrible cuticles... she said something in her language to Mia who responded... a customer came in and I immediately felt Gracie tense up... she put one bad layer of gel on thumbs and started putting base coat on other nails.... I requested she finish my cuticles... She picked up some unclean cuticle trimmers... and began cutting back... I immediately said no, it's not clean, she ignored me, got up and went over to greet her customer... she came back and started painting nails.. got polish everywhere... she walked away again and never came back!!! Meanwhile, Mia did a great job to my feet!!!! Thank you Mia.... Mia also cleaned up left over polish and finished my cuticles. Gracie never said another word to me. I left about 20 min later.. as I paid for service; total was $81.00!!! I said nothing. The change she gave me had one $5 and one $10.. I asked for 2 more $5... as I handed her the $10 back and she says "thank you" ... I picked up $10 dollars again, and said 2 $5.00 please... Gracie complied, I gave $10 to Mia... and $5.00 to Gracie... I told Mia thank you again for doing your best... I definitely will not be back! read more

They are very kind but my nails were not what I expected. I had dip prior to nail appt. I wanted dip again. I got a French tip and after all work was done, I could see how the remainder of the previous dip residue was still peeking through the clear part of the new set. The dip set from previous was not fully removed and the skin on my finger kept getting filed. I did mention this and they apologized but it kept happening. My daughter was also with me and she got her nails and toes done. The girl who did her toes did a good job but she never asked what color. My daughter was waiting to be asked since they simply began working quickly on everything at once. Our fault for not paying attention to that but I would appreciate if they asked. It was too late and we didn't want to have her re do it. We just know we won't be coming back. read more

I hadn't had my nails done in over 5 years and so many new things have come into the Salons and I wanted to get them done for my 50+ birthday and I found a nail shop in San Dimas and the lady who did my full set that day refused to do anything other than gel-x and wouldn't explain anything to me except that they last longer if you aren't hard on your hands and look more like natural I told her that I just wanted the least expensive full set to make the most out of my birthday gift card and then she told me that she would have me come back in 3-5 weeks for the fill and color and to call her when I was ready to make my appointment with her and in the over an hour almost 2 I was with her did she mentioned that she had sold her shop to someone else or that she would not be caring for me beyond that day and I was already hesitant to go back because I got forced basically into something I was not sure even what Gel-X was but 3 and 1/2 years weeks later I decided to call and give her another try before finding another shop and never return there again and Emma answered the phone said that they were free then if I wanted to come in within the hour and I did I asked her for the lady who had already done my full set and Emma said that she was no longer at the shop and that she was the new owner and would take care of me if I wanted to give her a chance and I was shocked and upset that I had been so misled and lied to but Emma was amazing and she listened to me vent about the previous owner and my experience and she really listened and paid attention to what I wanted length and shape wise as well as my lengthy decision making color choices and I had a much better experience and understanding and I knew then that I finally found a new shop and manicurist to pamper my hands part of the reason why I had not had my nails done in a very long time my previous gal had been my nail artist for over 10 years and then she retired due to illness and I had been to several other people and shops but I just couldn't find the right person that took care of me like my previous gal and being a caregiver and handling patients I just decided that my natural little nails were good enough and I could paint them myself if I wanted until I met Emma and I am so excited to see all the color combinations and designs that we can come up with and to have found a new home for myself and my nails to be pampered by ... I texted to make an appt thinking it was Lynn the original owner. I came and Nope they were new owners pretending to be Lynn. Never introduced themselves as new owners, I had to figure out myself smh. Emma is ok but the other younger girl who did my pedicure looked like she didn't wanna touch my feet. Didn't clean it.
