Emmeli's Cake was an amazing choice for my Mother's 75th birthday party. She went above and beyond to make a beautiful cake for our special event. She even did this on the day, after coming home from her family vacation. Everybody commented on it and enjoyed it. I will definitely use this place if I ever need it for another occasion.

We wanted a cute little cake made for our 2 year olds birthday. She had a sad COVID non party day, so we wanted it to be special. Her favorite thing in the world is this ratty little snow leopard toy. So we had it designed around that favorite. The figurine on top is SO cute. To be honest it doesn't look exactly like her stuffed animal, but it's pretty good. I wasn't thrilled with the black and white frosting though. I wish it would have been more colorful. It was a cocoa chiffon cake with raspberry mousse filling and chocolate chunks. Unfortunately the cake itself was very dry. Not sure if it dries out from refrigeration or if it was the cake itself. The mousse was good. Creamy and light. I'm not sure what the frosting was on the outside. It sort of tasted like a really light, whipped buttercream? It was alright. We were happy to pay the expensive price for the Joy it brought our kid. But the cost didn't really match the taste.

Beautiful, affordable, delicious, and totally custom cakes! Emmeli emailed with me directly helping me make the perfect cake for my dads birthday. I live in SF and can't be home in Boise to celebrate with him. She helped me pick specific flavors of cake, filling, and cream that he would like; devils good cake with blueberry cream filling. I love the cool modern design of the cake that was beautiful but not too feminine for my dad. My mom said it was the best came she has ever tasted. They lived close enough for delivery. I only wish I could try it myself! have to order myself a cake when I'm home next!

Highest recommendations!! The taste and the customer service were unmatched!! My family flew from Fl to Boise for a wedding. We ordered cupcakes from Emmeli for the bridal shower. The cupcakes were beautiful and my aunt (and the bride) LOVED them! Emmeli created the exact design that I requested. The only guidance she had was a photo from Pinterest. Emmeli walked in the rain to make sure we received our order. She ensured the cupcakes were covered and protected. She went above and beyond to make sure we got the cupcakes at the restaurant and was so patient and kind!! I will be sure to order form here again when I return to Idaho for the baby shower.

Beautiful cupcakes delivered to my Boise State student for her birthday. Emmeli's was great to work with, and she created lemon-vanilla cupcakes with strawberry and raspberry mouse frosting with gold sprinkle accent. Exquisite!

Our 2 year old's Sesame Street birthday cake! The inside was even more gorgeous with perfect bright rainbow layers!

Emmeli made an amazing Sesame Street birthday cake for our 2 year old's birthday party. She was so easy to work with- we did everything over email (so convenient!) and I had no concerns because she communicates so clearly. I could tell she understood what we wanted and she provided helpful tips on size, flavors etc. I only wish we had taken a picture of the cake sliced into because the six rainbow layers were gorgeous!!! There was a collective gasp when we cut into it- absolutely stunning. She will be my go-to for all future cakes! Can't recommend highly enough!

Was searching for a bakery which can make a custom cake (dark chocolate raspberry macaron cake). She came back with a delicious sounding rendition. When we asked if we can stick to the original request, she did so with no hesitation. It came out perfect, the subtle sweetness paired well with the tart fruit. Perfect for what we're looking for and exceeded our expectations. All this was done quickly and affordable. Next time we need some baked good for a special occasion or just a sweet treat. This will be our first stop.

    Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake

I went to Emmeli's for a custom cheesecake for my SO's birthday. Her favorite flavor combination is raspberry lemon. After checking her flavor guide page on her website I figured it would be an easy job for her, and it was! The order process was quick, easy, and efficient. The cheesecake was seriously so good, and her pricing makes it all the more desirable, I will definitely be ordering more from Emmeli's soon!

My beautiful wedding cake Emmeli did, I wanted edible gold glitter. It was so delicious! (My florist added the flowers)

Emmeli is the best. I found her at a wedding show and ended up hiring her to do my wedding cake. She let me pick any flavors we wanted, we did 3-tiers with 3 flavors...she even did an almond poppyseed for my hubby. It was beautiful and absolutely delicious, the best part was the anniversary cake that she included in her fee 1 year later in the same style and flavor. It was so special! Highly recommend, she is very sweet and easy to work with!

Our beautiful (and absolutely DELICIOUS) wedding cake made by Emmeli.

When we…read morearrived, it was absolutely pouring, and being from the Pacific Northwest, we didn't think twice about waiting in line .As soon as the rain let up, though, the line grew dramatically, so we were glad we had stuck it out. The bakery itself is small, but the display case is anything but. It's packed with beautifully crafted pastries, each one more tempting than the last. Honestly, everything looked worth trying. We settled on the Rose Croissant and the Lox Croissant Sandwich, and both were excellent. The rose croissant was a standout with the rose flavor delicate yet present in every bite, which is rare for floral pastries. It never became overpowering or faded into the background or tasted artificial. The true star of the meal, however, was the lox croissant sandwich. It was absolutely stellar and one of the best savory pastries we've had in a long time. The coffee was just okay, but that was fine because the pastries completely stole the show. The staff worked quickly despite the steady stream of customers. There is a bit of seating both indoors and outdoors, although most people seemed to be taking their orders to go ,perhaps because of the weather. If you're visiting, come for the pastries. They're absolutely worth the wait.

If you're like us and like specialty coffee flavors like salted caramel, lavender, honey, etc., this probably isn't the spot for your coffee fix. That said... the pastries are absolutely worth the visit! Everything we tried was beautifully made and delicious. Just a heads up: it gets very crowded and busy, so I'd recommend arriving early or going in with a little patience. It's not typically a quick grab-and-go stop, but the pastry treats make it worth slowing down for!

On the morning we stopped in there weren't a lot of choices and judging by the size of the cases on the counter that's typical. I give major props to that little glazed croissant- it was delicious but I also appreciate that it wasn't huge. I felt satisfied but not sickly full afterward. I tried the buttermilk later in the day and it wasn't okay, the frosted donut for a similar review from my daughter- like, solid food donuts but nothing we couldn't find at the local grocery store bakery. I couldn't sleep last night so of course I decided to do some research on some local bakeries in…read moreour area. I am always down for something sweet! I have driven by this shop a million times but never got the chance to make it in. After checking out all their photos and goodies off their website, making my way in today was a must. The shop is very small and intimate. You are immediately greeted by all the goodies as soon as you walk in. Colorful macarons, the cutest cheesecakes and beautifully displayed scones and muffins. The display case is nice and bright, allowing you to be able to see the details and coloring of each macaron. The pretty piping on the cheesecake. The fun layers of the cakes. It was hard not to want one of each thing out of the case. It was our first visit for my daughter and I. As a new customer, you're trying to absorb everything about this store. You want to look at all your options! The gal that initially was going to help us pretty much just stood there and stared at us. Didn't really talk to us. Didn't ask if we had any questions. She had the most unpleasant look on her face. It honestly made me feel so unwanted and uncomfortable to be at the shop. I offered to let another customer go ahead of us so she wasn't just standing there waiting for us to order something. The second customer also needed some time. Finally a gentleman came in and she got him some coffee started. Another gal was working and she helped us. At that point, I was so turned off about getting anything but we were already there so we decided to grab a few things. My daughter and I decided to share a 6 pack of macarons. We snagged lemon, birthday cake, coffee, chocolate, creme brulee and cookies and cream as our flavor choices. She also got a red velvet cheesecake for us to share after dinner tonight. On our ride home, we broke that box of macarons open and had to try them all. The lemon was sweet and tangy, I love the lemon custard in the middle. Birthday cake reminds me of a pink frosted animal cookie. The chocolate was my favorite! Very chocolate forward and sweet. Coffee reminded me of a vanilla latte in cookie form. Cookies and cream was much like cookies and cream ice cream. More cream forward and less chocolate cookie. Creme brulee had sugar toasted on top which created a slight bitterness to the cookie but it was balanced with how sweet the cookie was. All 6 macarons were fabulous! I look forward to having the red velvet cheesecake after dinner tonight. I like that there are so many gluten free options at this bakery. I adore how petite and prettily decorated the pastries were. I appreciate that this joint is local as I love supporting local businesses. But, first impressions are so huge for me and my first impression of their customer service wasn't there for me. You can push out great products all you want but how you make someone feel during their purchase can make or break your business. As fantastic as my macarons were, all I can think about was how uncomfortable I was when I was just being stared at. Macarons and cheesecake can be purchased at a few joints in our valley. I'm happy I got to enjoy some goodies with my daughter but I'm going to go support another local business that will actually make me feel like a valued customer and not a bother.

The other person there was great though! I was drawn in by the array of unique flavors and vegan options. I had really wanted to get something boozy and vegan, but they only had one flavor on at the moment that fit the bill and I wasn't particularly interested, so I sampled a few of the dairy boozy flavors and went with a vegan non-boozy ice cream for my actual order because a full scoop of dairy ice cream does not sit right in my stomach. I liked the boozy flavors more but that was only because of the flavors offered - the vegan ice cream itself was great, very smooth and creamy, not overly sugary. I got the float season vegan ice cream: blackberry ice cream with salted dark chocolate. I did still enjoy this flavor a lot. I really liked the crunchy bittersweet dark chocolate bits. I didn't get anything to drink but I was kind of tempted. The ice cream + beer or wine flights looked interesting. I don't know wine well enough to comment, but it looked like they had a good selection of beer with quality brewers and a good variety of beer types. This is technically a Warehouse Food Hall vendor but it's only accessible from the street outside the food hall. I wasted a few minutes wandering around the food hall trying to find it before I looked outside. They have a fair amount of seating inside and outside.
