The other spots we've tried in the Treasure Valley can't beat it. The ingredients are always stocked, fresh, and there's always a great variety of toppings. Cold days, hot days, it doesn't matter. There have been just one or two times that the staff probably didn't seem like they wanted to be there but for the most part, they do a good job. I gathered my daughter and my French mom the next morning to get to Paris Banh Mi at their opening to only find that those empty trays from the night before were still empty. I walked up to the young man at the cashier and asked where were all the croissants, palmiers, and chocolate croissants. He tells me, matter of factly, that what they have is out on display. To be clear, what was out on display was two or three offerings of bakery goods that didn't look fresh or even appetizing. If you're going to be a French bakery and have trays with the words of Croissants, Palmiers, and others then stock it OR Remove them as it is false advertising. But, with much restraint, I got a big apple fritter for my husband and some donut holes for the grandmas. My mom didn't let me grandma have any donut holes so I had to take one for the team and enjoy them for her. They were so good! They were soft and tasty. Every donut hole was nicely glazed. It's amazing you can polish off 7 donut holes and not realize that you had that many. They are so dainty that you don't realize how fast you're eating them. Each one was great! The gal that worked today was really sweet. I did take a bite of my husband's apple fritter and it was tasty as well! My husband also enjoyed it. My other grandma enjoyed her donut holes. My friend swears by their Dubai chocolate bars here. I finally got to try out the Dubai chocolate and I see the hype in them, they are so good! I made my way in to see what kind of goodies they had. I like that you're not committed to a pound here so I'll be able to get a variety of treats. Walking in, you are smacked in the face with this amazing smell from the caramel they were using to dip the apples in. You are visually sent into overdrive with all the chocolates, Valentines decor and dipped apples perfectly displayed all over. I didn't even know where to begin! I wanted to look at everything, God forbid I miss out on something good. I would literally get one of everything if I could. The truffles, fudge, dipped twinkies, apples covered in caramel and chocolate, smores, it was all calling my name. Trying to narrow my selection down was going to be a difficult decision. But I ended up going with a milk chocolate sea salt caramel, a milk chocolate caramel, a milk chocolate truffle and one more piece that I can't remember. I also snagged a little bag of peanut butter melts for my husband. The gal that helped me out today was kind and patient with me. I was looking over the display case and wanted to make sure that I got anything that called out to me. It was neat seeing the dipping of the apples, it's an art for sure.
