First time here in Boise visiting so my friend and me decided to come out for breakfast Aj who took our order and Sammie the cook was so sweet great customer service very friendly loved them! I'm an indecisive kinda person at times so they were very patient and helpful with my choice! The food omg we loved everything the Jalapeño sausage roll was the best- great puff pastry either spice. my sunrise sandwich- I LOVED the jam & I added sausage with mine it was very filling my girl friend loved her bacon quiche omg everything was homemade u can taste it!! We also loved the huckleberry lemonade

Diamond in the rough. Stopped in for lunch. In town for a work trip. The Tom Sawyer sandwich was delightful. My friend ordered the chicken pot pie and it had plenty of large chunks of chicken and it was very flavorful. The slices of pie were so good we ate dessert before our meal. Highly recommend.

An amazing pie experience here- sweet pies, hand pies, savory pies and fabulous coffees too. The best crust I ever tasted and I loved my coffee too. My pecan pie was just as expected, not a big boozy taste and the chopped pecans give a more subtle texture than I'm used to. My Dad tried his favorite blueberry pie and it was very good. The New Orleans coffee was exceptional and unique. Pies available for the holidays and I would surely get one or two if I was local.

    War pig (Banh mi) $15.

War pig (Banh mi) $15. Honestly really disappointed. A year ago this sandwich was $10. No sides included. We ordered 2 of these sandwiches for lunch for $31-32. The portions are small and they raised prices to exorbitant levels... you could afford a full dinner entree with sides and drinks at other restaurants for the same price. The flavor of the sandwich was really good there's no denying that. They did a great job picking ingredients for this type of sandwich. But it was so soggy. No crispyness left in the baguette. The meat was also extremely chewy and would likely be better served already cut up into bite sized pieces so you don't flop the whole cutlet of meat around trying to saw your teeth through the grisely bits. For this price with no sides or drinks I'm shocked at the low quality. It was good. But not worth the high price. Especially since after I ate my sandwich I was still hungry. I likely won't be returning because in my opinion it's just not worth the price. Bring back the 10 dollar price point and make sure your bread is crispy, slice the meat, and I'd be back in a heartbeat. 4.5/10 Pros: Fantastic flavor, Good quality ingredients, very nice servers. Cons: Soggy bread, chewy meat, expensive, no sides, no drink. (Pictured: half a war pig sandwich. )

I must've driven by this place 50 times before I tried it. My son wanted a chocolate cream pie for his birthday so I called ahead and pre-ordered one. He said it was the best chocolate pie he's ever had with a really creamy consistency that was fluffier than say a pudding type version of a chocolate cream pie. I also ordered a slice of the Keylime which was perfectly tart with a fantastic graham cracker crumble under it which complimented the lime perfectly. I also consider myself to be a connoisseur of the pasty so I tried their handheld meat pie as well. I took it home and covered it with brown gravy and ketchup and thought that it was a very good savory pie. I can't wait to go back in and try some of their sandwiches the bahn mi looks amazing!

So before all this isolation, quarantine nonsense started, well actually probably right as it was becoming a reality, I was able to finally try a pie from Boise Pie Company. I've never been a big fan of pie but was so happy to try this pie. It was a mixed berry pie and it was SO. FREAKING. GOOD!!! It wasn't overly sugary like so many pies out there that we've all had at least one million times in our lives lol. It was just right. You actually got to taste more of the fruit than anything and that's just kinda awesome. The shop is an amazing little place. Very Boise feel to it. I had always heard about this place and thought it was somewhere on the north end/downtown area. So I was actually very happy to see that it is not located over there. Not everything amazing needs to be downtown or in the overrated north end, hahaha! I'm sure I just passed off a a few with that north end comment lol. But the inside you can see in the pics I posted. Very homey but very modern feel to it. I mean, it's a pie spot, of course there would have to be some element of homey-ness to is (is that a word? Lol...I just made it one!) I asked her how to spell her name before I left but I know I'm probably going to get it wrong here, but Carrie is the owner. Carrie and Kevin. I didn't have much interaction with Kevin, but Carrie is literally a breath of fresh air! Such an amazing person. She represents her business perfectly! Seriously, such a nice person. I shared the pie with a few of my friends and I quote my friend Allyson "this is literally the best mixed berry pie I've ever had. I usually don't like mixed berry but this is incredible. I love that it's not all sugar" (I actually saved that quote from her on my phone to make sure I had it right for my review lol) Thank you Boise Pie Company for an amazing pie, not just for me, but for my friends, my roommate, and one of his friends lol. They all had amazing things to say about it and I'm convinced you will see them in your shop at one point or another! Thanks again. Thank you for reading, Yelping yelperetties! Cheers!

Happy Pi Day!! Where better to be than Boise Pie of course!! Now let's talk some pie Salted Caramel Apple. From first look I was impressed. Pools of salted caramel on the beautiful top crust. It was obvious what it was from the get-go. Bonus points as some that I've had would put caramel only IN the pie. Tart apples inside with the right amount of crisp to them. Over cooked-Nope! They had the perfect cook. Crust was flaky and the bottom crust was still stable and not soaked through. Again-point for them! I prefer my crust a little more sweet but honestly it worked with this pie!! I have no complaints. None whatsoever. Love this shoppe! I was greeted from the moment I walked in the door and felt welcomed. Props Boise Pie!! I'll be back to try their savory fare...and a couple other pies I was eyeing while inside. Ohhh and my slice of chocolate cream...yeah I'm not sure what happened to it. Insert sigh...

    Inside this amazing place!

I know 5 star ratings get overlooked because it's just assumed that it is an easy out. Well, in this case it is earned. The first thing to know if I stopped by because I saw a sign as I was driving that said "pie" and that was enough to peak my interest. When I walked in the staff were immediately attentive. I told them I'd never been in and they helped me to see not just the pie but the full menu. They have pies, quiche, soups, salads, sandwiches and grilled cheese. I couldn't pass up a specialty grilled cheese. I ordered the Parisian grilled cheese and it was a wonderful combination of bold flavors that meld together for a remarkable sandwich. It comes with chips and I ordered a Coke Zero. They bring the coke to your table with a glass of ice and the bottle so you can take it with you if you want. As for pie, I had to try the chocolate silk but overall deciding was one of the toughest choices. Every pie looks amazing. Oh! And there are a few cheesecakes hidden in there as well. The pie. Let's just say their is a reason their name is Boise Pie Company. They live up to the name. As good as the grilled cheese is, the pie is in a league of its own. I will be back and I will try more of everything!

Pumpkin pie was definitely no picture perfect but tasted ok the key lime was ok to. $20 for a pumpkin pie that looks like this though....

The decor features beautiful artificial greenery that gives the space a light, vibrant, and welcoming feel. My server, Brayden, was fantastic--friendly, prompt, and attentive. I started with the Southern Hospitality mimosa (peach & pineapple with "Blue Ridge Bubbly"), which was incredible. For my meal, I chose the $10.99 Lunch Break Special, upgrading my side to the chicken poblano soup alongside the half honey pecan chicken salad sandwich. While I was looking at the bar, a gentleman named Scott asked how I was enjoying my food. I told him I hadn't tried it yet, but that the mimosa was rocking! The soup was delicious with great flavoring, and the biscuits paired perfectly with their tasty jam. The chicken salad also tasted great, but unfortunately, I bit into a sharp chicken bone that hurt my mouth. Because of this, I stopped eating the sandwich. When Brayden checked back in, I let him know I couldn't finish it due to the bone. He handled it perfectly, promptly took the sandwich away, and removed the charge from my bill. He also brought out some bread for my soup as requested. I finished my meal with a salted caramel craft iced latte, which was absolutely delicious. Minor food mishap aside, the outstanding customer service from both Brayden and Scott will definitely bring me back!

We did have to have a small wait. I love the fact that they were busy! Nothing makes me happier than seeing a local business thrive! It was a little over 10 minutes of wait time. No problem, we chilled in the car till we got our text to come in. We were sat, got coffee and juice ordered and checked out the menu. We were both hungry so everything looked good. My husband decided on a stack of pancakes with chocolate chips and a side of biscuits and gravy. I got the Big boy omelet with Moe Joe's potatoes. Our server, I believe her name is Kendra, was super sweet! I have served her before when she came in and ate my at family's restaurant. She was fabulous as a guest and fabulous at taking care of us today. I had requested a fresh cup of half and half that wasn't used my multiple guests. I'm still bring careful with my new kidney. With no hesitation, she gladly gave me a fresh cup of half and for my coffee. I appreciate her kindness so much. Food came out and booooyyyyy did everything look amazing! My husband's pancakes were fluffy and had plenty of chocolate chips. The biscuits were covered with gravy. My omelet was massive and was also covered in gravy. I was ready to tear into them potatoes! They were nice and charry. I know this meal is about to hit! I don't think I said a word to my husband for 15 minutes. The food was so good! Nothing important needed to be talked about when the food was doing the talking for us. My omelet was stuffed with green peppers, onions and all the 3 meats that came with it. I love love love the gravy on top! The potatoes were crispy on the outside and so soft in the middle. The potatoes with gravy is top tier! Of course I tried my husband's pancakes.... so fluffy and sweet. The biscuits weren't crazy dense. I love that they were airy. I really had to hold back on the pancakes, I still had a whole omelet to work on. But them pancakes were the business! It's sad that this joint is clear across town. I would eat here every week if I could. Everything we had today was so good! Everything I had last time was good! The service is fantastic. I adore Memory and Peyton. Now I get to add Kendra to my list! One of the best breakfast joints in town, hands down! I'm so happy I got to start my birthday week at Moe Joe's! I look forward to coming back very soon.

Now, if you've read my previous review, youd know how much i absolutely LOVE their pancakes - and I've made it my go-to spot for breakfast because of it. Well, either they changed the recipe or someone messed up this batch. It was nice and fluffy, but bland. That signature deliciously buttery flavor was nowhere to be found. I kept taking bites hoping my tongue was deceiving me... but there were no lies. Just disappointment. This is definitely a deal breaker. Maybe I'll try one more time. If it was just a one-time fluke, I'll update this review and stars. :::sigh:::

It has a nice ambience. Inside are a combination of booths, half booths, low and bar height tables, dark wood, with a nice semi-circular bar with a nice, semi-circular metal decoration that was filled with artificial plants, wine bottles, and small kegs. There was a wine rack accent wall on the right. It is located in downtown Boise at the corner of Idaho and 8th St along restaurant row. Our server was Matthew B, and while he was a nice guy, he did not provide good service. It took him a while to get to our table, then after we ordered drinks, it took too long to get them. We then ordered appetizers but he didn't take our dinner orders. We waited too long for the appetizers, and then we ordered our dinners, which also took a while to come out. Runners brought our food out, not Matthew. He did not to refill the women's sodas, we had to ask. He did bring another glass of wine to one of the men, but that was because he was signaled. He did not ask the other people that ordered beer and cocktails if they wanted another. We never had our water glasses refilled. We told him about the birthday celebration, and all he said was, if we ordered dessert, he would put a candle on it. What? Most places serve a complimentary dessert for a birthday celebration. He also took too long to bring us our checks. We're all good tippers. We gave him 15%; he didn't deserve it. The food was OK, not spectacular, but overpriced. As far as the apetizers, the asparagus fries were not that flavorful, though nicely crusted. The cauliflower was just OK, likewise the chicken wings. I did like the honey and balsamic grilled brussel sprouts. Speaking for my wife and I, she liked the BAM Sammy. The side salad was average. I ordered the Urban Burger. While the patty was cooked well, it was small. I can get a bigger, better burger that costs less at any number of restaurants we frequent, including a few near us (we live in Star). I did like the fries. Crispy, with I believe Parmesan cheese coating them. My friend said his smoked salmon salad was just OK. We found it very loud, and difficult to hear each other in conversation. Needless to say, we have no plans to return to Fork.

I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.

High Note - Front door. It's right next to a pizza place with red/white umbrellas, so don't miss it.

It's been over 20 years since I have eaten here. How crazy that time has truly flown by so fast…read more Moving to different states, new restaurants that have opened by us or the fact we live across town, just a couple reasons to why I haven't been in. But lucky for me, my husband and I were in the area so of course we had to make our way in for brunch. We showed up 45 minutes til close. There was about a 25 to 30 minute wait. We decided to tough it out and kick it. I did ask if we would still get served since we will be sat towards closing. They said yes so we waited. There would be a wait anywhere else so why leave. I just found it so kind that they would be willing to still take us with the restaurant closing soon. It was busy which makes me so happy. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a local business thrive. While hanging out, I was admiring the fun antiques that were decorated all over the restaurant. Talk about history and charm to this joint. Vintage cans, old cooking utensils, old school packages of Spam. There's so much history in this little venue. It's truly incredible to look at and appreciate. We were finally sat 20 minutes til closing. We got some coffee and apple juice started while we checked out the menu. After drinks were dropped off, we quickly ordered our food. My husband got chicken fried steak and I got the works omelet without the sausage. I believe they replaced it with extra ham. Food came out rather fast since we were the tail end of the day. And boy did everything look so good! My omelet looked massive. I was starving so I was so happy that it was big! The omelet was stuffed with green peppers, onions, ham, bacon and cheese. I also got a hearty side of hashbrowns. My husband got his country gravy that came with his country fried steak on the side for me. I was able to add it to my hashbrowns and omelet. Country gravy and hashbrowns is a top tier combination. And today's gravy and potatoes was money! My omelet was perfection. The onions and green peppers were nicely sautéed. There was a great amount of ham and bacon. The eggs were nicely cooked! Cheese that was in the middle was nice and melty. I ate the whole thing! Did I regret it later, yes but it was worth it! I finished half of my hashbrowns. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, these hashbrowns were fantastic! And the country gravy made them that much tastier. My husband enjoyed his breakfast. I most definitely enjoyed mine. Service was fabulous. Coffee was hot and always filled. Today's visit was truly fantastic. I heard that this joint is moving to Orchard. I look forward to coming and checking out the new venue. I know I won't be waiting another 20 years to come back. The food and the service was too good not to come back soon. I look forward to another omelet and one of their huge ass cinnamon rolls!
