Secondly, while your policies may not have broken any HIPPA regulations, there is a HUGE difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. Your policies and practices may be legal...BUT...they are NOT inline with patient expectations and common-sense interpersonal dynamics. Unfortunately, my experience with the Hinsdale location has been extremely frustrating due to ongoing organizational and scheduling issues. On three separate occasions, I drove more than an hour for a scheduled appointment, only to sit and wait before being informed that the doctor would not be in that day. On two other visits, my appointment was running more than two hours behind schedule, forcing me to leave without being seen. Scheduling by phone is equally problematic. Calls often go unanswered, and messages are rarely returned in a timely manner. When a callback does occur, it can take several days. In addition, there has been an ongoing billing issue involving Medicare that has still not been resolved after five months despite multiple attempts to correct it. While I have confidence in Dr. Khan and appreciate the care provided by Dawn and Trisha, the way this office is managed is unacceptable. The lack of organization, communication, and follow-through has led me to begin exploring other options for my care.
