Lives up to the stars right here on Yelp. We have the cooked butter late and the pistachio matcha. The chef came out and had some niceties with my kids (possibly Emmett himself). Small little dining area. Loved both drinks. Also they have the best tots in town. The breakfast burrito was $ and the lox was a nice change on a toasted bun rather than a bagel. Yeah baby yeah! Great food on our visit! We went on a Sunday while checking out German Village. We didn't know there was also seating in the back, which was perfect with our 3 kids. The girls who served us were really sweet, and the food came quickly. You can tell this is a loved shop in the neighborhood. We felt like we were locals, and a part of the community just eating food here. I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for a chill spot, great drinks and food, and to bring your kids.

Vibe is always a 10/10. Definitely worth the line/ wait for a good table outside on a nice day. The latte definitely could use less milk but was still good. Sandwich and tots were amazing as always. A columbus breakfast staple!

    Matcha and chai mix!

I'm obsessed with this business. I love it so much I went twice while in Columbus for two days. The other location (ambiance) is significantly nicer. All the food is in to go containers and the other location uses real plates/mugs... But the customer service here was on point! The breakfast burrito is worth every penny and kudos to the barista when I asked which is better matcha or chai latte? She said, let me make you my favorite drink, it's a mix of both. It was delicious.

Updated review... still fantastic on all three pillars of taste, vibes, and staff! Get. The. Burrito.

It's a really small spot next to Moses and next to Blackbird. 3 small two tops and 3 4 tops inside and a few outside patio spots. The staff taking the orders is warm and friendly. Ordered an overnight oats, smooth as butta oat milk latte, turmeric ginger tea, breakfast burrito with a side of tots ($5 add on) and a south high side salad with a fried egg ($2 add on) over hard. I wanted an avocado too, but it's $3 for probably a half of an avocado, more highway robbery. Seems insane to be paying $5 for tots and $2 for an egg. Inflation is high and prevalent here and rolling to the consumer. $61.29 for brunch. They are out of their chocolate chip cookies just after 11am. The smooth as butta oat milk latte is good, the tumeric ginger tea isn't too bad. The overnight oats with the chi and honey is pretty good. It's simple, but tasty. The south high side salad is so-so. The falafel is fresh, but extremely rock hard on the outside. The breakfast burrito was good, lots of eggs, tots, a bit of prosciutto, avocado and cheese. It was well stuffed and filling with the tots inside as well as on the sides. Cleaning discarded plates was quick. The service was good, although it's fast casual dining and minimal interaction.

Always a great meal here! When we drive from the DC area to Chicago we stop here for lunch and it never is a wrong choice. It was cold this time through so we ordered ahead and got it to go. Amazing as usual!

Latte #1 & cinnamon raisin energy ball

This has become one of my go-to spots! I teach Yoga around the corner two mornings a week and I'm probably here at least once if not twice a week. It's perfect to pop in and grab a quick coffee and energy ball (the cinnamon raisin are my favorite things to grab before or after a class to put some fuel in my body and are delicious )! I have also taken many other yogis, Friends and my husband here for brunch. Everything has always been amazing (breakfast burrito and tots are so good). One time I did order something and it wasn't to par with their normal food and simply explained to them and with no hesitations they comped and made me a new one! I also knew this was a one off because it's usually amazing and when it wasn't they made it right!

Excellent breakfast sandwiches. Humble setting, indoor outdoor seating, very cool vibe and comfortable. Friendly staff. Recommend it for a quick breakfast.

Delicious breakfast burrito, banana bread, chai latte and coffee based latte! Nice staff. Not a large space but cozy while also being popular.

We started with a Hot Apple Cider, topped with maple-infused whipped cream and cinnamon, along with a couple of hot coffees. The cider was warm, comforting, and full of cozy fall flavors. Unfortunately, the self-serve coffee station wasn't kept stocked, and after waiting quite a while for a refill, we eventually gave up. For breakfast, we ordered two Mushroom Frittatas, a Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, and a side of Housemade Breakfast Sausage. The Mushroom Frittata featured three hearth-baked eggs with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, and Gruyère cheese, served alongside breakfast potatoes and a peppery arugula salad. It was flavorful, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Although I informed the staff about my peanut allergy, I was surprised to find the crispy breakfast potatoes on my plate, which left me uncertain whether the allergy request had been fully communicated to the kitchen. The Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, served with strawberry preserves, was one of the highlights of the meal. It was flaky, buttery, and wonderfully moist, pairing perfectly with the sweet preserves. The Housemade Breakfast Sausage consisted of two peppery pork patties that were juicy and well-seasoned, making a great accompaniment to the rest of the meal. Overall, we enjoyed a delicious and filling breakfast with fresh, high-quality ingredients. While I wish the coffee station had been monitored more closely and that greater care had been taken regarding my food allergy, the Mushroom Frittata and fresh biscuit alone make Northstar Café worth returning to.
