The pictures show my hair texture (4c) before Johanny, and my first wash (about three weeks after) being serviced by them . Also, there's a video that shows my call-log with the owner (I had a couple questions prior to visiting) to serve as proof I went to them since they have a habit of claiming that everyone who leaves a 'bad' review were never serviced by them or is an ex-employee. Beware if you have afro-textured hair and decide to come here. You might have to do a big chop like me! I hope in the future they're more inclusive for all hair types.

Jose, the gentleman who answered the phone was very professional and courteous when we spoke. He gave me exact pricing and let me know in advance that it would cost more if my hair was extra long. We agreed on a time I would arrive at the salon and the next day when I did, I was greeted by a lovely woman, who pronounced my name and went to working on my hair right away. I was a bit concerned because I was wondering if she'd be able to handle my hair in all its thickness and kinky coiliness and she did, with the quickness. I was very surprised by how she was able to wash, condition, roller set, and blow dry my hair so fast. When it was time for the trim, I was confident that she'd finish the job right because she made sure to tell me what my hair was looking like and what needed to be done before proceeding. She even had Jose explain it to me more thoroughly in English. One of the things I appreciated about the salon besides the excellent customer service, the actual great service, and the cost was that the place felt comfortable. I was greeted and I felt welcomed and warm while at the shop. It felt like the old school shops where everyone says hello and is pleasant. I highly recommend this place, as they offer great options and perks that come with getting your hair done. I walked out looking like "who's that girl" and was grinning from ear to ear. The shop is clean and has a quaint lil room with about 5 or so dryers, good part is the room does have a television. My hair experience was good. The stylist performed all my services, so her wash came with a decent about of muscle during my wash. I LOVE strong hands. She blew me out then flat ironed. Her process of flat ironing seemed to be longer then what I'm use to, and I wasn't even bone straight when I walked out. I was charged $75. I would definitely go back, but she would be my back up. And her prices for coloring are pretty costly $150+ for just tips on long hair.

I booked an appointment and the rest is history. The atmosphere of the salon is extremely welcoming, they play a plethora of music genres so that no one is left out. The only thing is that you must book an appointment. I do not believe they accept walk-ins as they are super booked up. I personally go to Gisele, she is my life saver and I am forever in her debt, however every professional that works there is talented.
