Sadly, she then passed me over to her coworker. My instructions were clear- in both English and Spanish. Do not touch the length, a little bit of an undercut above the ears from the temple to the ear, trim the layers and clean up the neck near the occipital bone. I showed her 3 photos from the front, side and back. It was New Year's eve and I went home in tears. I literally stopped her and got out of the chair before she was finished. I wanted a bob and I got a fade. She went at the back of my head with an electric razor and a number 2 blade. She never once used a scissor and ignored everything I said. For $35 I got a choppy, uneven mess that is impossible to style and I woke up looking like a Q-tip had an affair with a mushroom. Went back to my regular stylist and she "fixed it" as best she could, reasuring me that my hair would grow back by Spring. Stay away or get a hat.

I believe a husband and wife named Bin and Michelle run this salon and they are very professional and friendly. I waited a long time to have my hair washed and blow out, but most definitely worth the wait. Definitely not like the other places on Avenue U where you are just a number on an assembly line. Bin and Michelle take their time with each customer to ensure everyone's hair comes out to perfection and just the way they like it. They are both perfectionists and very methodical in how they work. I was very impressed and super pleased with my hair wash by Bin and blowout by Michelle. My experience and results were just as good, if not better than the other salons on Avenue U. I do want to point out it's going to be a long wait, so I would highly recommend to see Auther in the morning if you cannot wait. He's usually packed on Fridays and Saturdays. So, if you have time to see him any day between Tuesday and Thursday, I don't think you would need to wait long. He does a number system, so you would need to pull a number and wait for your numbers turn. He charges $15 for a haircut which includes a shave to those clean lines after he has finished cutting. I would highly recommend to go to Aruther for a cut if you have time.
