I'm sad to give this place two stars when it used to be so good. I used to come here all the time before I started Yelp Elite and three cheese empanada was delicious. This last time the three cheese empanada had only one bland cheese and completely lacked flavor. I tried the pizza empanada, but the pizza sauce had an off flavor and didn't add to the overall flavor. We tried the Dubai chocolate empanada which we were very excited about, but were completely disappointed. The inside and outside were bone dry and it completely lacked flavor besides the chocolate bits. To add insult to injury, for four regular empanadas and one desert empanada it was $35 without tip. They have certainly increase their prices but decreased the quality of their food. Service was good and the ambiance is cute but the food was such a let down. This used to be an amazing spot and I really hope they get it together.

Every single empanada is DELICIOUS. You can't go wrong. We're love their buffalo chicken, steak and changing specials. The perfect size and love their food truck!

Little disappointed . Fries were really dry. No taste. Spinach and cheese empanada along with the beef empanada was very good. Churros had slotting cinnamon on it that I loved. But we're kind of dry as well .

My friend and I have been here quite frequently. We have tried every empanada on that list. They are filled to the brim. The owner is absolutely sweet and great when helping customers decide what they should eat. We never had the experience to dine-in due to Covid, however, we take our empanadas and eat them at the park near by!

It doesn't bother me to feel flab-ulous... Empanadas are welcome in my appetite any day! On a hunt for these chunkers, Empanada Lady was actually the only result that turned up. I had to see and taste them for myself. Their list of possibilities is full of variety! I don't think I grabbed enough in a tray. A few of them came out fresh. The dessert ones were on display. They offer meat or fruit filled selections. I tasted their dessert ones - pretty good. My ultimate faves are the meat filled delicacies: Caribbean Roast Pork and Beef 'n Potatoes! Must. Have. Sauce!  Empanada Lady has a little cafe along a residential road, after turning off a busier street. The shared plaza that it's located in is small, but there are some parking spaces; so there's no need to pay for street parking. Support local and small businesses - give them a try. Have more than you think you'll want, cuz most likely you'll want it again later. Happy munching and stay flab-ulous!

Empanada Lady empanadas are some of the best in NJ. Why are there no pics? When they come in house or poolside, we devour. I like to order a dozen or two. My favs include spinach and feta, kale and plantain, BBQ pork, chicken and potato, but all are very good. This week my hubby and I tried the Tuesday pork special w 3 sides and I finally tried the Cubano. Very good. Pay cash and she reduces credit card surcharge. Dinner and lunch! The empanadas are about $5 each. But they are very, very good and stuffed. This business is owned by a hard-working woman. I love the empanadas as a treat from here!

Ive gotten empanadas from here on several occasions. Some are better than others, but worth it when you have a craving for local empanadas in a pinch.

Chipotle BBQ Chicken & Cheddar Empanada BBQ Pulled Pork Empanada Spinach & Feta Empanada

The Empanada Lady was in my neighborhood so I decided give them a try. I ordered a Chipotle BBQ Chicken & Cheddar, Pulled Pork and Spinach Feta empanada. The empanadas have the initials set in the dough so you know which one you are eating. The dough was crunchy and tasted home made. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed because these empanadas had NO Latin flavor as advertised and were way too expensive. The 3 were $15!! Let's start with the chicken. The chicken wasn't shredded well. I bit into ligament and fat which wasn't pleasant. It wasn't seasoned and tasted like bbq sauce and chicken. My empanada didn't have cheddar cheese, a chipotle flavor or salt/pepper. The pulled pork tasted like more like a honey based BBQ sauce without the fundamental spices, salt and pepper. The spinach and feta was also disappointment. It tasted just like frozen spinach and barely had feta. It was bland! I am not interested in trying the Empanada Lady again. If I'm ever in the mood for empanadas, I will go to an authentic spot and I'm sure it will be much cheaper!

    Supposed to be "El Chimi"

Wow what a bad place to get a food. First they are not authentic. I ordered chimi and they gave me an american burger and called it a chimi. I also ordered yuca fries and they gave me regular fries. This is one place I will never recommendedor return to. Take a look at the picture this is not a chimi. The fries was all soggy and wet.

Mold on our tres leches cake. Disgusting.

Another great spot for breakfast/Brunch!…read more Great location too at Montclair with street parking and walking distance to Crescent Deck Garage. Place is welcoming and had nice natural lighting. We got their Huevos Rancheros, roasted chicken, tuna chaufa and lomo saltado. everything was great - good portions and beautiful flavors! Especially loved their Earl Grey latte too. the flavors of tea and espresso were very well balanced I would love to get that drink again. Also got their smores cookie for a nice sweet ending. We ended up chatting away even after we dined. Staff was very polite reminding us they needed the spot and was also kind enough to give us a some time even before the reminder. Would definitely recommend this place!

My friend and I asked if they sell pan con chicharrón, and though they don't have it on the menu, the chef (Brian) said he'd make it for us! First impression of the service ... amazing. We got the pan con chicharrón and I truly almost cried! I have not had one as delicious as this one in Jersey! The pork was tender, yet nicely fried, and there was not as much fat on it which is always hard as the fat gives it the flavor but too much can be overpowering. After talking to the chef, he mentioned that it is no longer on the menu because people didn't really order it ... so here I am, asking you all to go in and order it, so it can hopefully go back on the menu and everyone can try authentic and delicious Peruvian breakfast!! HUGE shoutout to Brian for creating something that brought both me and my friend a true sense of home

For a great Thai meal in Verona, NJ, be sure to check out Arroyo D the Thai Elephant…read more The food is excellent and the service could not be better. We are always so well taken care of by Jed, the Lead; Pat, the Manager; and Pupay, Owner and outstanding Chef! I am vegan and my partner is not, and we both love the tasty dishes we are served. We begin with a yummy papaya salad made vegan, with fish sauce on the side for Tom. Then we enjoy vegetable dumplings (last night deliciously fried!). Following that we both enjoy one of their their wonderful curries: Tom's red curry spicy, with vegetables and shrimp, and my red curry (vegan and less spicy) with vegetables and tofu (pictured below). In summer months, we always look forward to finishing our meal with their special mango and sticky rice! The restaurant also has a bakery open 6 mornings a week, serving a variety of specialty coffees and homemade pastries.
