It took several more minutes for the server to return and take our order. I have to say the food is worth the price of admission! We ordered enough options so that we could take home leftovers for the next day's lunch. We ordered the chorizo tacos, served, and softshell flour tortillas. They must've been baked slightly because they had a little bit of structure to them. There is ample chorizo in each taco. Delicious! We also ordered an arepa, empanadas, tostones, and yuca fries. They were selling kings' cakes for the Epiphany (for those who speak Spanish those cakes are called rosca de reyes). They had two sizes: medium and large. The medium was massive and we had food for days. I will say though it was something I wasn't unaccustomed to because I usually have the one that is colorful, looking like cake from Mardi Gras. You can revoke my Mexican card here seriously. This is not to say that this one wasn't colorful, it just wasn't the sparkling green and purple rainbow I've known my entire life. Anyhow, it was legitimately delicious and that box was huge. Admittedly, their portions overall are huge. Weeks later we went to First Fridays and I tried their chicken fajita burrito and I regret eating it all in one bite because food coma. This is definitely one of those places that the portions to price are shocking because they're feeding a family for decent prices.
