From the beginning, communication was a breeze. Wendy (owner) was so responsive, organized, and really listened to what I asked for. She met with us in person for a consultation, and even took us out for a coffee to talk details. It was such a stress-free and even enjoyable experience! As someone who does not know much about flowers, I only had colors and overall visions to share as inspo. Wendy took my half-baked ideas and turned them into a reality that left me in (happy) tears on our wedding day. And it wasn't only me - our guests gushed about our florals too! Not only did Wendy handle our florals, she also helped with set-up for our reception decor. She answered my call during her commute home and I asked for a flower arrangement for a funeral that was around $100-$150. She said she could work with my budget and later texted me some sample arrangement shapes and styles for approval; they were made completely of roses on a small stand and ribbons. When she called again to confirm and take payment she said it was going to be $150, plus fees bringing the order closer to $180.00. I asked if we could adjust the arrangement price closer to $100 so that it could be under $150.00 with the fees. I truly did not mean to offend her in any way, but this upset her and she said she cannot help that there are fees associated with delivery, tax, etc. I said I completely understand she has to charge fees and tax, but that I am just trying to stay within my budget so maybe the arrangement could be adjusted to meet my budget. I am not a florist and can't be sure, but I imagine there are flowers she could have subbed in to meet my budget? She said she could not make an arrangement for $100.00 and that it would be too small. We could not come to an agreement so an order was not completed. My intent was to work with a smaller business local to where the funeral took place and it's unfortunate we couldn't work things out. She looks like she makes lovely arrangements on her site and she seems very hardworking (answered my calls and texts late at night)...I would just be very clear with her on your budget INCLUDING TAXES AND FEES to avoid conflict on your order.
