Lots of great shopping retailers here, this is a good and bad thing. Lots of money has been spent in this shopping mall over the course of my living in the Burbank area. I love the fact that Target, Best Buy, and Lowe's are within close proximity to one another. I often find myself popping into a number of these stores on the weekend for whichever project my Fella and I happen to be working on. I do not care for the parking lot, it seems as though it was improperly planned. The area by the eateries is so clustered and difficult to navigate, that most patrons of previously mentioned park on the retail side. It is what it is I guess. I guess I should just be happy that I don't have to drive clear across town while doing errands. read more

I really enjoy the assortment of stores that they have here, but the layout is too spread out and the parking is layed out horribly. That makes it very hard to navigate, not to mention I worry about getting my car hit every time I come here. Luckily, though, there is tons of parking, so it's normally pretty easy to find a spot, even on Saturdays. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! parking lot is a complete disaster and TOTAL GRIDLOCK. They have been playing with the parking lot FOR MONTHS. I made the mistake of going back thinking it would be finished. Not even close, and the fools they have "directing traffic" couldn't direct their way out of a paper bag!! They were directing cars to run into each other. read more

I drove there on a Saturday afternoon and I won't make that mistake again. The traffic getting to the main entrance too 30 minutes. Nice inside every intersection was gridlocked with cars stopped in the middle of the 4 way stops. I decided not to shop and just leave. It took 35 minutes just to get back to the main road and then another 20 minutes to get past Costco. Clearly no one considered what adding a Walmart meant to traffic patterns. STAY AWAY--- 10/30/16. The developers have created a cluster f--- traffic goes in but it cannot come out! Went to lowes and it took 2 hours to get out. They closed major roadways and blocked off the parking lot thru roads! Stood in dead moving traffic for 20 minutes at a time then moved 60 ft and stopped!!! Do not come to the empire center! I agree with the "Cool stores; horrible parking" reviews completely. Also, I want to inform people that the "beggars" who you see at every entrance and exit in this place who hold up signs with sob stories are horrible actors and con artists. Please never, EVER give money to them. They should all get kicked in the teeth. The Burbank pigs harass us about jaywalking on a Sunday morning, but they can't seem to remove these criminals. It makes me think that the person who runs this scam is a friend of the Burbank PD. read more

yeah this shopping center is a lifesaver. everything you may need is here. you've got lowe's, a great target, staples, marshalls, michaels, great indoors, best buy, men's warehouse, and many many more. as for dining, plenty to choice from too. i'm just happy there's an olive garden. doneski. one note, always be sharp when driving through here. folks pop out of nowhere, drivers take sudden left turns, etc. focus! read more

I was at the Target at the Empire Center in Burbank when I first moved here buying items and was helped my Angie the manager several times with a few items one of which I couldn't find on the shelf. Angie went above and beyond to help me get the item I needed at the price that was offered. She seems to help everyone in a caring manner and always is very cheerful about it all. I really felt that she was one of the best managers I have come across in a long time. The Target store at Empire is lucky to have her. I have returned there many times because of the service I received from her. read more

Warning: Massive freeway construction nearby, along with construction INSIDE the Empire Center has closed off most access, to include the Valpreda.entrance. This is a real nightmare to drive into now, so do yourself a BIG FAVOR and stay away for like 6 months at least. read more

I go here all the time, mostly for the Target...Then there's Linens N Things, Marshalls, Shoe Pavillion, Michaels, not to mention the fast food joints across the way (Wendy's) and sit-down restaurants like Hometown Buffet and Olive Garden (for those who do the whole chain food restaurant thing). The center is clean, safe, pretty new, and I usually never have a problem finding parking. And I just got a flyer in the mail that they opened up a Daphne's Greek food joint! read more

It's a handy collection of shops, but I avoid this place whenever I can because it's surely got to be the worst-designed shopping center ever built on the face of the Earth. Despite its size, there are only two ways in and out, insufficient parking at nearly all the stores, and one is frequently stuck trying to cross a major artery in the complex without the benefit of a four-way stop sign - something that can take a very long time. Don't venture here unless you really have to, or if you really love feely cranky and infuriated. read more

A good shopping center to find what you need to get at any strip mall. The target's pretty big and clean. A few good, chain restaurants. Be careful, lots of traffic going in and out here. Close to the 5 freeway, a bit out of the way--it's on the edge of burbank read more

Come here mostly for target. Sometimes Michaels. Food selections are so so. Hook Burger is our go to place here. Parking is a pain especially in the evening. As far as Walmart goes, I really wish Burbank wouldn't of allowed them to come here. The extra crowd of people in the shopping center is a mess. And traffic... Ugh!!! It would be nice to run errands without having to spend half the time in traffic!! read more

A great shopping center. Usually has everything I need. Convenient and walkable if you are up to it. Also, a Walmart is coming there. And if you walk it, you can reward yourself with a Krispy Kreme donut. read more

The Empire Center is great because it has good stores & is close to me. However, it is often difficult to park on the weekends. It can be difficult to manuever around the parking lot & the inside road. read more

It took too long for the guy to get me my tall pike with no room. I should have been in line two minutes, not four. Burrista boy looked more like burrito boy, moving like a glacier. Made of molasses This place is generally great, since there's no scumbags and creepy homeless people everyone is afraid to admit drive them insane. Such a great resource for the Valley. Lots of parking, easy to get to from the 5 and Burbank, and lots of shopping options. I literally shop here at least 2x a week for necessities - Target, Ulta, Michael's, Lowe's, Marshalls, etc. Also has several ATM's, great sit down and fast food options, and a Liquor Barn. Best Buy, The Great Indoors, and Office Depot. Also has lots of hotels surrounding it and even a good selection of sports and bridal stores. It's a very nice mall that is kept very clean and up to date. There's a lot to do out here, a lot of places to eat and should keep everyone of all ages entertained. The old people have Hometown Buffet. read more

How have I not written a review for my beloved Empire center yet?? Well, maybe "beloved" is too strong of a word. More like beliked. I like Empire Center, and Empire Center likes me. I go there at least 2-3 times a month, and have been going there for years because I live nearby. If I lived further (like in Glendale) I'd probably be frequenting the Marshall's/TJ Maxx/Target/Whatever over there, but at this point, here I am. The stores there are useful ones.. Like, if there were no other stores that I could ever go to in my life, I could survive on Empire Center stores alone. Target for food, Marshall's for gifts, Daphne's Greek for restauranty meals. I've been to almost everything here, and I like coming here. It's got everything. My favorite is Krispy Kreme. Hehehehehe. What? THEY HAVE INCREDIBLE DONUTS AND COFFEE!! :D I also like Marshall's a lot here, and the Nordstrom Rack is pretty good too.. visit the Lowes often, as well. The only real gripe I have about it is the layout, which they cannot change anymore, obviously. WHY is the former Great Indoors in one corner with like 4000 parking spaces, followed by an Ulta in the middle of nowhere, followed by the rest of the big stores, and then a TINY parking area for like 10, 15 shops like Payless, GNC, Starbucks, Daphne's, etc. It's incredibly dumb, and incredibly hard to find parking near where you're going on a busy day. It's just a SILLY layout that makes no sense. But alas, can't be changed. Boo. :/ Still frequent here a lot, and sometimes just randomly go to have some coffee and sit outside with family/friends/dog in tow. ;) Good times. read more

Really really crappy right now with all the construction and detours. There should be traffic officers or someone to help people get in and out of here. The shops are fine but parking is horrific. I can find another Target/ Best Buy/ Michaels/ etc. Super inaccessible, I won't be coming back for a while. read more

This is really a great shopping complex! There are so many options to chose from and it is really clean and well kept. I somehow always seem to have a hard time parking here which is crazy because there is TONS of parking. I don't understand the negative reviews about the shopping center. I personally like the layout. I shopped at Target, TJMaxx, Nordstrom Rack, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Yes, you might have to walk to get from one store to another, but, seriously, your life is not going to end. I didn't experience any challenges driving in/out of the parking lot and experienced no challenges finding parking. read more

I feel like the parking lot was designed by an engineer who was angry at humankind. I am constantly getting hit, almost hit, kind of hit, or given the finger by an angry parker. Sometimes, I get a real great spot, and sit in the parking spot with my reverse lights on just to get back at the pyramidal evil that is this place. Visited this shopping center once in August last year and my experience was great. Large food court with variety of good foods.

I have shopped (and shopped) at the Empire Center for the past 8 years. I have put up with the over-cramped parking and the months of construction on San Fernando and the 5 freeway to create the new freeway exit/entrance. I have put up with the re-construction of the Empire Center parking lot, where they have removed trees that gave some shade and taken away walkways that protect pedestrians from crazy drivers. Tonight was the last straw. My husband and I parked near Target and shockingly decided to walk to Wendy's with our 6 year old son before heading back to the stores to shop. We walked through the parking lot as safely as possible since there are no pedestrian walkways there. We used the one official crosswalk to cross the road. We were 20 feet away from Wendy's when a "worker" got up from where he was sitting with his "coworker" and with his stop sign stated we were not allowed to cross the closed road to Wendy's. When I said we just want to go to Wendy's he said we would have to 'walk around.' I asked where we were supposed to walk with our 6 year old and he replied through the parking lot. I heatedly pointed out we are not taking our son through a crowded parking lot with no walkways when we are already right here. And he asked 'don't you have a car?' After I explained that we parked and wanted to get a little exercise he still wouldn't let us cross. Sorry Wendy's you did not get our business tonight thanks to the continued lack of consideration to the customers who keep this shopping center in business by the mystery people who rake in all the rental fees and the "construction worker" who is paid to sit with his sign and stop all who try to cross his path, which looked completely paved in the area we would have needed to cross. I'm still upset by this and I'm trying to forgive, but that is my reason for one star. read more

Great shopping plaza with plenty of parking. Three of my favorite discount stores are right next to each other, so I can hit them all in one trip. I also like that there are a variety of eateries including a Krispy Kreme Donut. read more

The Empire Center is great but it's surrounded by crazy drivers. The restaurant area doesn't have enough parking.
