Alas those days are long gone and my grandpa can no longer drive, a bit sad and a bit nostalgic to look back on, I digress. It's a huge mall and I definitely prefer it over going to the Americana across the street (free parking here and such), but again, it's a huge mall that attracts all around, so parking can get quite busy, especially on the weekends, so keep that in mind. I like that there's an attached Target and lots of shopping and dining options. They have all of the franchises that you find at a standard mall and at a higher end mall too, so you get a good mix of both. There's an Apple Store, Beard Papa (not many of these left sadly), Bath and Body Works, Heytea, Hot Topic, Kura, Lacoste, Lush, Marugame Udon, Miniso, Molly Tea, Pop Mart, the Lego Store (I remember visiting this as a child), Uniqlo, Tokyo Life Style, etc. There's a markedly newer and lively part of the mall and when you go to the periphery, there's a strange mini floor on one of the top floors and the crowds start parsing through. It used to be the only mall where we could get some of these franchises and foods or we'd have to travel more into the OC, but now that the Santa Anita mall has almost every business that I would need, going to the Glendale Galleria is a once in awhile treat if we're already in the area.

On Sunday (6/14/2026) I went to Glendale Galleria with my mom and my brother…read more My mom bought some shoes and cosmetics, and I picked up both a Beef Kabob and a Chicken Kabob from Massis Kabob. After that, we all had dinner together at Kura Sushi. After dinner at Kura Sushi, I decided to pick up another kabob to go for my other brother at home. As I was walking back to Kura Sushi with the food, I passed by the restroom area near the food court and a kiosk that appeared to offer eyebrow tattooing services. A Hispanic female janitor was cleaning the area. My mom had called me and was asking me to come back quickly, so I was walking at a very fast pace with the takeout order in my hand. Suddenly, the female janitor jabbed me in the arm and started speaking angrily in Spanish. I couldn't understand a single word she was saying, and I was completely shocked by her behavior. I assume that because I was walking quickly to get back to my mom, I may not have noticed that she had placed a caution sign and was cleaning that section of the floor. Perhaps I accidentally walked through the area she was working on. Even so, I found it completely unacceptable for someone to jab me in the arm like that. To make matters worse, she kept speaking to me in Spanish, which I could not understand. I honestly thought her behavior was very inappropriate. I simply responded, "Please speak English and do not touch me, OK?" My mom was waiting for me and wanted to leave right away, so I didn't have time to continue the conversation and just walked away. However, the more I think about what happened that day, the more upset it makes me. I sincerely hope I never experience something this unpleasant again. Glendale Galleria should do a better job of training its employees on how to interact respectfully with customers.

The view is breathtaking just overlooking down the view of the complex! There are no upcoming events held here but the previews years they had the A Very Merry Block Party, Chalk-A- Doodle Festival, and Holiday Shopwalk! There are so many dining,food, & beverage options, Service providers , Clothing & home fashion stores, beauty salons, health and fitness club, entertainment too! Several different retailers from Sears, Macy's, World Market, Body and Bath Works, See's Candies, Victoria's Secret, Vans, Burlington, and dozens of other national and local retailers. There is also an AMC Theater inside the mall. There's not much to their "Food Court" as there are other dining/snacking options throughout the complex. There are 3 levels of shopping and dining. The reason for the 3-star rating is the condition of the mall in certain areas. The management doesn't take really good care of the center. There are out of order elevators with others that needed a good cleaning or an upgrade. See pictures. The center does offer a large garage with free parking. That's very rare in Los Angeles. The garage looks very dated, but it served its purpose, so no major complaints.

Outside there's a section of the parking lot closed off, in the "employee lot" there's equipment and fixtures piled up and left outside. Cheese and was pleasantly surprised by how big it was inside! I don't remember this mall having a Chuck E. Cheese when I was a child. I remember a Macy's which has closed and left that side empty. The mall does smell like seafood thanks to seafood city which is not enticing for a mall. I didn't get a chance to check out any of the other stores but likely will come back for the Chuck E. Cheese.

During a trip up to LA/Pasadena, we decided to brave the heat and play tourist. I love a quaint and…read morehistoric downtown shopping area and that's definitely what this is. The shopping park opened in the 60s and has a couple of miles of individual mom and pop shops and restaurants. There is lots of street parking and multiple parking lots around the area. We snagged a street spot, checked the directory and headed east on Honolulu Ave toward the bookstores I was eyeing. We checked out two bookstores, a candy shop with Knick knacks, a couple of clothing stores, and a few jewelry stores. The area had such a vintage feel; it was great. Shop owners were friendly and helpful. Families walked about and sat and dined at one of the many restaurants with sidewalk tables. Drivers obeyed the posted speed limit and slowed down for pedestrians. We walked and shopped for almost three hours and never even made it to the other side of Ocean View to the stores on the west side...next time. Can't recommend this shopping district enough! It's a nice shopping center anchored by Target, Sakura, HomeGoods, Blaze Pizza, and Panera... just to name a few. I have yet to check out the other businesses within this center. From the outside main streets, it doesn't look like a very big center. Once you drive in it, there's quite a bit for shopping and dining. Cute outside seating in various sections. Abundant parking available. One day, I would like to come here and just walk around to get a better exploration of this place. I may just dine at Sakura for lunch or dinner, shop at Target, and get ice cream dessert at Bruster's. That sounds like a plan! I'll capture some photos next time. Thanks for your patience.

We don't always come this far into town, but when we have, the Town Center architecture and list of shops and restaurants has provided a siren call. We finally answered it a few weeks ago, stopping at Panera Bread. We ended up driving around much of the complex, since we didn't know exactly where Panera was located. That revealed lots of free parking options, and a uniquely shaped center. Will definitely have to come back and explore more when we have more time. I'm always up for a walk-through at HomeGoods, so there's another draw, right off the bat! Luna Grill sounds interesting and worth checking out. Blaze Pizza sits next to Panera Bread, offering another fast casual dining option. The eclectic style architecture mixes a dash of Mediterranean with Craftsman, which takes a bit of doing to pull off, but they've seem to have made it work. It's a mash-up, yeah, that's it! Nice to experience a home town shopping / dining plaza with some innovation and stylish character.
