Sesame Chicken. Ham fried rice. Mei Fun. Cream cheese Wontons. Fried dumpling. Chicken on a stick

It's decent. Nothing special. Mei fun is flavorless. Had to add soy sauce to it. Best fried rice I've had from a Chinese restaurant like this. About $30 I think which is a good price for the amount of food. Their willing to customize dishes to your liking.

Our " go to" place for a great dinner! Live the garlic chicken! Wish they would put green pepper and pineapple on their sweet and sour!

Didn't like this place at all. Panda Express is better than this place. Food seemed like it was sitting in their pans for a while. Not good!

Friendly staff, great food, generous portion sizes, low prices. I've tried about 5 different entrees there, and all have been great.

This location will be dearly missed and we are hoping for a new location to open soon. The favorite was the walnut shrimp, crispy and in a cozy savory sweet sauce. I loved the eggplant vegetable dish and the sauce was flavorful and garlicky. The staff are very nice and gave us plenty of extra rice to go with the dishes. Thank you Joy Luck!

And I'm really puzzled by the high ratings of this place here on Yelp. I had the sautéed beef, which is listed as "Sa Ti" on the menu, so when it was brought out and announced as "sautéed beef," I was a bit confused. While the vegetables were decent, the beef was tough and from the flavor was a cheap cut. The hoisin sauce was not thick enough and a bit too runny like maybe water added.(?) This also made the flavor weak. After the first disappointing bite of beef, I only picked at the vegetables. I didn't finish it nor did I ask for a take home box. In my opinion, looking over at the people at my table (I was at a club meeting), everything looked on the cheap side. They all seemed to enjoy their meals, though. The portions are huge, so you'll get a lot of mediocre food. The service was OK. We were a large party of about 45. They knew beforehand we were coming. We noticed that even though our table was first to order, we were one of the last to get our food. One person at our table got her food significantly later than we did. There was one table that still didn't have their food when we got our checks. Water refills were never checked and neither was my soda. The Dr. Pepper was good... 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Great spot for some Chinese food…read more I was visiting some friends in Utah and they were really excited to take me to this restaurant. They said it was their favorite in town and that I just had to try it so I was really excited for it. When we arrived, we didn't realize, but it was prom night and so a lot of kids were dressed up in there prom outfits. Because we made a reservation, we were seated quickly. The server was really friendly and very helpful, very knowledgeable of the menu. We decided to do it, Family style and ordered a couple different things to share. We started off with an order of their Dumplings, then ordered cashew nut chicken, beef, and broccoli, and fried rice. The Dumplings were really big and fresh, so that was super good. The flavor was really nice. The cashew chicken was so good! The sauce that they used in the flavors were really good. The beef and broccoli was also yummy. The sauce with the seasonings that they chose, tasted like your traditional beef and broccoli. The fried rice was also very traditional. Definitely something you would expect. Overall, all the food had really great quality and tasted exactly how you would think so. I definitely think if you're looking for Chinese food in Utah, this is a great place to start.

We ordered 4 entrees family style to share at the table. Three dishes came out fairly quickly, but the 4th dish didn't arrive for nearly 30 minutes. Since we were all sharing the meal, we eventually ate the three dishes while waiting, and by the time the final entree arrived, the meal was basically over. When we brought the issue up to the manager, instead of focusing on customer service or finding a reasonable solution, we were met with excuses. She said, "If I take it off the bill, I have to take it off the table." That completely missed the point. We ordered the dish because we wanted it as part of our meal -- we weren't asking for it to be taken away. After making us wait 30 minutes while the rest of the table had already finished eating, the obvious customer service move would have been to acknowledge the inconvenience, comp the dish, and still let us enjoy what we ordered. Instead, Tess focused on explaining "owner policy" rather than taking care of a customer issue. After decades of loyalty to Mandarin, it was genuinely disappointing to experience such inflexible and poor customer service over something that should have been handled far better. By the way Amber our Server was great

After staff recommended on Yelp that I try the Lotus Delight with vegan chicken next time, I went online to order it. The website said they were out of vegan chicken, so I called to ask if I could get tofu instead. They told me I could just write it in the order notes. At no point--not on Yelp, not on their website, and not over the phone--was I told there would be an upcharge. The online system showed the option without any price tag, making it look like a standard modification. When I got there, I was rung up for an extra $5.44 for just six tiny pieces of tofu, bringing my total to $25. For context, the base vegetable and rice dish already cost $20--the same price as dishes that come with protein. To make matters worse, their physical in-store menu lists adding vegan chicken as $3.00, so being charged nearly $5.50 for a tiny amount of tofu is excessive. Surprising customers with hidden fees after they specifically ask about options is poor service. I'd like a refund for the tofu, or I'll just do a chargeback for it. Either way, I won't be coming back. Update: I received a refund for the tofu, as well as a personal phone call!

Sadly they were out of the fish that I wanted for my sushi roll, so I didn't get to enjoy that aspect. I ordered the Crab Cream Cheese Wonton appetizer (comes with 8 and sweet chili sauce). Next was their Mixed Vegetable Stir-Fry with beef (the beef costs a few bucks extra). The wontons were cooked well. Smaller than what I am used to, but delicious nonetheless; even though there was more wonton than crab. The Mixed Fresh Vegetable Stir-Fry had a variety of vegetables (zucchini, broccoli, bell peppers, onions, and my absolute favorite - baby corn). It also is supposed to come with mushrooms and bean sprouts but I didn't see too many of those...if any at all. The beef was standard for a Thai restaurant, though there seemed to be a lot more vegetables than meat. You can choose your spice level from 1 star to 5. I, of course, chose 5 being the spiciest, and though it was, it didn't necessarily hit me out of the ballpark. I'm thinking because it's Utah, a lot of times these restaurants error on the side of "mild", without realizing people come from everywhere and all backgrounds; so maybe one day they will all get with it. That said, it was an enjoyable meal and I'll definitely be back again (hopefully the sushi rolls are available). They have many different options on their menu which I definitely want to try in the future!
