Huge, dough filled doughnuts. They were a bit too dense for my taste but they were definitely decadent and would pair amazing with a hot coffee or hot chocolate. I got their brown butter coffee pecan but their selection was so lovely and extensive that I had the worst time deciding. I was told by the cashier that their brown butter coffee pecan was a popular choice and I can see why. It's sugary and the pecans give it a slight crunch. It's a great doughnut. Go here immediately! This was probably the highlight of my visit. Large, fluffy, old school donuts with a thick delicious melt in your mouth icing. More please! Some creative flavors on offer too. What I really enjoyed here was the breakfast sandwich. It's everything I want in a breakfast sandwich; egg, bacon, cheese on a lightly toasted soft brioche bun. So good and at a great price! Almost considered getting a breakfast sandwich across the road for double the price until we stopped here first. So glad we did. When I lived in Vic, this was a weekly stop. Now that I don't live locally, I spend time thinking about these doughnuts, and anticipate every visit to the island because it means that I can get my fill of these treats. My favourite, the BEST doughnut they offer...the brown butter toffee pecan. The dough is light and flavourful, and the glaze is AMAZING. I have tried other flavours (the apple fritter is good, too) but I keep coming back to my guiltiest pleasure, brown butter toffee pecan. Do yourself a favor and visit the Cook Street location, and then take a walk through the village and onto Dallas Road. One thing to note, both locations open at 9 and often sell out of certain flavours quite early, if not all the doughnuts. Used to be good but quality seems to have gone downhill. Maybe a victim of their own success?! Oil is dirty and donuts are overly sweet. Also, the owner is abusive to staff. Had someone at adjacent business fired for calling them out?! How is that cool? I can't support a business like that. Perhaps if the owner could in some way make reparations and reconcile their harmful practices, I could reconsider a future endorsement or at least change my review. Hello. To whom it may concern regarding customer service. We just visited the Cook Street location to enquire a 3 dozen donut order for my wedding May 4. At first, staff was friendly; however, a lady came out and passive aggressively told us to order later saying "we don't entertain orders this early for May, come back in February." We explained we're from out of town and just wanted to see what the process was to make an order for an event. The lady then asked the date, to which we said May 4th and wanted to order the special Star Wars donuts. She just dismissed it altogether. No, you can't pre-order...it's the busiest day. Okay - no means no. But we walked out feeling completely dismissed. Zero empathy. It's too bad. We loved supporting your business. The headline here - saying no to a customer is fine, but do it with kindness and empathy. Feeling dismissed, especially for a special occasion, is just disappointing for a wonderful small business. Very disappointed. Have heard much good about these donuts and the demand for them. We finally made plans to go in and bought ourselves a dozen. The flavours offered were interesting. Earl Grey, eggnog, root beer. But each donut that we tried was very dry. Cannot choke a single one down and we share the box amongst five of us. I would never return and waste my money at this place. Granted the majority of the donuts were yeast donuts so we expected them to be a little dry. But this was ridiculous. Day-old's from other places would've been better than this. read more

I tried three different flavours earl grey, cookies n cream, and maple walnut; the flavours were fine but the the dough was dry and stale tasting. I am going to start with the fact that I don't like doughnuts. My wife and kids do, so I ordered a dozen to be delivered as a breakfast surprise for them. The quality and care that goes into making them was quite evident. While on the higher price range for doughnuts ($30/doz), they were worth it. We try to visit early as they are a very popular spot who carry many selections of different & unique donuts; as well as cinnamon buns, cookies, drinks and sandwiches.
