Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Food: 5/5 Overall: 5/5 Love this spot! My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick bite in the morning and decided that a bagel is what we were craving. We got here around 10 on a Tuesday morning and only had to wait for a minute or so as one person in the store grabbed their items (only one person is allowed inside at a time because of social distancing protocols) The bagels were all in bins behind the counter and they had a bunch of cream cheese options in a fridge as well. We decided to go with three bagels: an everything bagel, cheese bagel, and cinnamon bagel. For cream cheese we did the basil & garlic for a savoury kick and honey vanilla to go with our sugary bagel. Everything was delicious! You could tell the bagels were made fresh today and the cream cheese was super good as well! As for service, the lady at the counter was really nice (even as we stood there debating bagel options for a bit) and recommended cream cheese options for us to go with the bagels. Overall, an awesome lil spot to grab bagels - we will definitely be back!

I'm a NYC transplant with an appreciation for Montreal-style bagels. This place is awesome! Just devoured an everything bagel with lox, dill cream cheese, capers, onions, and cucumbers. My husband had the Reuben, which was also delicious. My daughter had the Banana-rama, which was a cinnamon bagel topped with honey-vanilla cream cheese and sliced banana. It was more like dessert than lunch, but soooo good! I noticed people leaving with large bags of bagels. I imagine you could freeze them. They also had a fridge full of their assorted cream cheeses by the tub. So many of my friends who move away from the NYC metro area complain about not being able to get a decent bagel. Thank goodness for this place! We will be back every weekend.

Even though it was the middle of winter and it was near closing, there was still a good number of people inside buying buns and not all of them seemed to be tourists like us. We ended up getting a number of different items: Custard Ball ($2.99) - We warmed this up in a toaster oven, giving a bit of the crust on the exterior edges of the donut, especially on the top where the powdered sugar turns into an almost crème brulee-like topping. The crumb is very fluffy fried and is filled with a sweetened vanilla custard. (4/5) Ube Custard Ball ($2.99) - This has the same donut dough base as the normal custard ball, but is filled with a dark purple ube cream. It's sweet and earthy, albeit not necessarily the most heavily ube flavored. (4/5) Original Ube Ensaymada ($2.99) - This bun, extremely fluffy and nice to eat, has an interesting spiral pattern construction at least when viewed from the bottom, but it's not apparent inside the bun. The bun is sweet and again there's not too much ube flavor. If it wasn't purple I'm not sure I could identify it as ube in flavor. (4/5) Classic Pandesal ($0.99) - Lightly sweet, great soft texture. It's pandesal, not too much else to say. (4/5) Overall the baked goods Friends & Family Bake sells are pretty good. Most of the items are soft, fluffy and sweet, perfect for breakfast or a dessert.

I then went the second day to get coffee and I couldn't decide on if I wanted sweet or savory. I chose sweet..... and while I was leaving Victoria with my raspberry danish sitting in a nice little bag, I bit into it, and have to say it was one of the best danish pastries I have ever had, it was bakery buttery good, and they do not skimp on the raspberry jelly topping, where some places it looks like they just add enough to call it a danish.... well this was so good and if I had more time I would have drove back down to this place to buy up the rest of what they have. They sell baked loaves of bread, and individual baked pastries, and also coffee.... oh that is really good here too. Fol Epi... you are now on my to go list anytime I am in Victoria, and now looking back at my pictures, there are cookies, croissants, palmiers, kouign amanns...... and more.... I need to try. As another Yelper wrote... I wish I lived around the corner.... cause really I do, but that just makes this one special for a return visit.

I also got an iced vanilla matcha which was delish. We also ordered two danish style cheese pastry wheel things, my only criticism was the cheese was quite cook so it's more of a crunch pastry than a soft one with also a hint of mustard. Service was quick and very nice! Staff was chatty. No pics because we ate everything real fast lol.

The orange latte was incredible...bright, slightly citrusy, and perfectly balanced with the espresso. It's one of those drinks you think about long after it's gone. My order took a little while, but that made sense given how long the line was. I got my drink first, then the sandwich came out a few minutes later. The first bite was amazing. Super flavorful. The bread was soft and tasted fresh. I tried a few bites of my friend's vegan sandwich too, and honestly, it might've been even better than mine. How is vegan food this good??
