I hate leaving negative reviews but when I get really taken advantage of people should know. I went to Alex Chiong Tattoo Studio for a small 5" simple tattoo. I was told it didn't qualify for any discount because it wasn't a stock design which is cool but it was a very very simple small tattoo and I was told it would $300. I didn't do my homework so I paid the $300 plus the tip. The artist spent maybe 20 minutes on the tattoo and the tattoo was a mess. You can see the size and thickness of the words don't match as does the line that follows into the heart outline is almost none existent. It starts bold at the beginning and then the line almost becomes invisible. Now a week later it looks even smaller and worse. I know the the tattoo can be touched up so no worries but $300 for a tattoo that doesn't cost more than maybe$150. I went to several other very well tattoo salons and they told me I was overcharged by twice the amount!!! Okay so the tattoo is not right and I was overcharged by $150... I can guarantee I will never recommend this place or go back to that tattoo salon. They seemed so nice and the whole time they were sticking to me... not cool!!! read more

First and last time I go to your shop. I went on Sunday to get tattooed, which I thought it was going to be done by you (Alex Chiong) and in reality I was informed by the front desk guy that it would be someone else in your shop. I was first told an hour wait and after ended up waiting two hours. In the end my tattoo after a couple of days looks irritated and infected. This is not my first tattoo, I have plenty and enough to know how to properly treat a tattoo so please do not say I did something to irritate the tattoo. I have a bone to pick with this location specifically. I've been here a few times and did not have an issue until two days ago when I came in to get a tattoo with a friend. I had called the location prior to showing up and asked if I should make an appointment or if I could walk in and there'd be someone. The lady on the phone asked me what time and I had told her 5pm she said that's fine you don't need an appointment I'll have someone for you. So I arrived at 5pm with my friend and she said there'd be a slight wait, ok that's fine. We waited an hour and people who came after us were being seen before we were. So I asked the lady how long the wait would be and she said 3 more hours after we had waited an hour and were told that someone would be ready to see us and other people were being seen. I don't understand why she couldn't let us know to choose a different day or to make an appointment. Did she want us to wait there for 5 hours?!? Luckily their second location was a mile away and could take us after we waited an hour at the first location for no reason. I wouldn't recommend this location to my friends. read more

No words to explain how unhappy I am with my tattoo and to top it off Alex Chiong is a douche who doesn't really care to even hear you out or read a message sent to him. My experience: Went to get a tree of life which turned out to look more like the tree of death! I was told that it would be fixed once it was done on my body but never did. Then I contacted the main artist, not to complain nor to tell him who the "so called artist" was but to simply warn him and the douche proceed to response "Thank you for contacting me, for appointments contact the office......." meaning he didn't event read my message. Made an appointment with Alejandro T over 6 months in advance. He took my deposit, told me that what I wanted to get tattooed he couldn't do after I had sent in my deposit, and ended up giving my appointment to someone else because he assumed I was not going to go to my appointment, after I had an unforeseen medical complication I had informed him of over 4 months in advance. He told me to wait until December to see if I made a recovery, and once December comes he switches the story. On top of the fact that it seems that he doesn't speak English, which makes communication with him more difficult. Overall don't recommend to waste your money on him, since he clearly doesn't operate his business in a professional and honest manner. I grew up in tattoo shops and have been getting tattoos since I'm 15, and have never had an inconvenience with an artist like this in the past. There are way better artists with more renown names in Miami, such as Victor Garcia at Piaja's, to be wasting your time with the likes of Alejandro. read more

this studio is unprofessional and tries to overcharge their customers. the guy at the front desk is rude and wasn't giving us the discount even though there was a 20% voucher that my friend and i received which we had 30 days to use. i also repierced my cartilage piercing there as well and then 2 weeks later the stud comes off?!?!! i was only left with the post and the earring back. i guess the quality of the products that they use aren't the best as they claim to say. overall experience = horrible read more

So, I was a first time customer some weeks back, I endured the worst piercing experience EVER! And it wasn't about the pain, it was the lack of SKILL!!! The shop is nice and so are the people, but the individual who did my piercing DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING! His name is Delso Aquino. The only body piercer I believe at this location. And don't get me wrong, he was nice, but he did NOT know what he was doing. I went in for a septum piercing and he first pierced it in the wrong area. He did NOT even pierce it inside of my nose, where it's typically pierced and exactly where I wanted it. Keep in mind, he was really excited saying that this was the best septum he ever did, which is really scary considering it WASN'T even pierced inside of my nose!!!! He kept saying he needed to pierce it in the "sweet spot" inside of my nose, which is basically where there isn't any cartilage, but He Totally missed my SWEET SPOT by MILES! Since the sweet spot is inside of your nose, not the outside. He SPEAKS like he knows what he's doing, but he Actually does NOT. Something did not feel right at all and I realized this after two days since I was trying to allow it to heal. I immediately called and informed him that the piercing is NOT INSIDE of my nose. And he could not believe it until I got there and realized, IT TRULY WASN'T. The Piercing was on the Apex of my nose, which is the outside of your nose. So I had to make another trip there for him to FIX his mistake. He then removed it and said that he isn't able to pierce it that same day due to the healing process, which I can understand but imagine if he just did it CORRECTLY the first time! He even admitted that he MADE A MISTAKE and didn't KNOW how he could of pierced it outside of my nose. The way he just spoke to me the whole process made me feel like he's still learning. So then, a week later, I took a THIRD TRIP there. When I got there, he STRUGGLED SO much to pierce my septum. He did not know where it should be placed. So I, A CUSTOMER LITERALLY told him where to pierce it. Pointed at where it should be, guided him and even helped him pierce it because he needed assistance!! Like, why not get someone else who works there to assist you, if you needed help? On top of all of this, I was never compensated. Honestly this should have been a free piercing for all the trouble I endured. I've never in my life dealt with someone so incompetent!!!! How is he even a body piercer???? I think he needs to do some more training before touching anyone else. This is people's faces!! 3 trips for one piercing!?? That's absurd! Just too many, too many mistakes!! A lot of talent in both of his shops, I've researched pretty much all of his artists work on Instagram and even the apprentices have amazing pieces.
