Manager Erika is great, as everyone seems to note. But the corporation seems to raise the rent about every 3 months and probably counts on people being stuck there without a viable option to move stored items to a new location. My experience was that rent went up about 25% in 21 months. That type of price increase is a bit shocking and you can't help but feel victimized. read more

Originally when I moved in I gave this place a five out of five but by the time I moved out they had sold their management to another company. Horrible! The only thing good about this place is the one person, Erica, who works at the front desk understands what a disaster it was when they sold the management. Had some work stuff building up in my tiny basement so finally found a storage unit. The staff were friendly on the phone and in person. I showed up in person and the staff happily took me on a tour of my options, even in the pouring rain. We returned to the office to sign some paperwork and get a key and a gate code, and then I was on my way to fill my unit. The prices seem reasonable compared to what a friend is paying down closer to SF. I wanted a drive-up unit, thinking that would feel the safest, but none were available. I ended up with an indoor unit on a small, straight hallway. The indoor hallways have lights on 30-minute timers and natural light, and exit doors at both ends. And there are cameras everywhere which is comforting. My unit is clean...dark though, especially in the evening. I may buy a few battery powered lights. The office is open 9am-5pm Mon-Fri and I think 9am-1pm on Sat. They sell boxes if you need any. The entrance gate is accessible everyday from 6am-9pm, except on major holidays when the entire facility is closed (plan accordingly!). 5 stars for my initial experience! read more

Erica is very helpful and made it easy to get a storage unit. The units are clean. The price is reasonable. Anytime I have had a question, they have courteously answered. It is so nice to deal with happy, helpful people. Everything is explained as to how the locks work and if you have an upstairs unit, there is an elevator and a flatbed trolley to cart your boxes to your unit. I have been using these folks since the 1980's ~ Pleasant, professional. The owner is honest, and straight forward. The premises is clean and neat. I stored items in two lockers one large, one small and there was no water damage or leaking despite the heavy winter rains. If they don't have a unit available, they let you know if someone is moving soon so you can plan ahead. GREAT STORAGE! read more

I called a few weeks ago in need of a small unit for my daughter who had to move. Marcia had to give me the bad news that they did not have the size I was looking for but would put me on a waiting list. What storage facility decorates their entry for Christmas? Empire I felt i was driving into a nice apartment complex, not storage units. Erica was phenomenal in an effortless manner inhelping me register - important for one of the Santa Rosa fire victims. Absolutely spic and span units and professional quality locks. This is a great storage place. The owners are very nice. The units have easy access from my car so I can just unload pretty easy. Also we rented their truck for our in town move which made it easy. They are in high demand so see if you can get on a waiting list for he size you need. That's what we did. read more

Empire Mini Storage is the best. Marcia and Erica are the very helpful business staff, there is an on site manager, security system and the site is always well maintained and clean. I have used this storage site for many years. Marcia always seemed to be able to find a unit that I could use or kept me posted as to when one would be available. When I moved to the area I used it for storage, again when downsizing, again when moved out of the area for a short term, and again when I moved back. I have recommended this location to clients of mine also going through the relocation process and all have had great experiences. Highly recommended. read more
