I would agree that Ben not only puts the customer first (allowing us to take rugs home before purchasing and flexible with exchanges), but the quality and uniqueness of his custom designs can't be found anywhere else. I went to his competitor next door, several furniture stores and big box retailers and I could not find any rug as impressive as the ones I saw in his store. 100% wool and silk, handmade and very pretty. You'll easily spend 5x as much, but it really enhances the look of your home. His rugs also last much longer and are easier to clean than the synthetic material and machine made rugs that are sold in most stores. Stay away from this place. You can't sell yourself as as a "we pride ourselves on our customer service" type of place if your customers aren't given a chance. We came all the way from Aubrey to look for a rug for our living room. Beautiful rugs with great colors and patterns as I commented to the sales guy Luis. After seeing some options, I asked about a particular piece and was told it's $35 per square foot and they wanted $3700 for a 9x12. My response was that's too much and the follow up question was "well how much are you looking to spend and was honest of $500 to $600. Now, if you ask that then you now have created room for negotiation and for consideration, but bossman hits Me with a " I have a $100 that we got as a trade in and it's yours take it". I guess in his eyes he was giving away a rug close to nothing and that was he effort in making a deal. We walked out and still thanked him for his time to view his products but you have to give you customers a chance. Feel bad for the guy trying to make a sell and do his best to provide good service , which honestly he did but his boss ruined it for him. read more

Well it took Ben a couple months to sell me, because it took me that long to get smart on what we needed. Every time I stopped by Bens store he greeted me as a friend and made Me and Wife feel like we were his friends. Ben asked for pictures of our home and to bring him our cushions and chairs as well as anything else we planned on decorating our home with. Then when we made a choice. Ben said take them home and try them out first. You don't want my money first? Ben replied ( I want you to be happy first. To love your purchase.) so we took them home and just like he advised they fit perfectly. And the colors were spot on. I had carpet placed in my house a little while back and I will never use them again. Did a walk through, like they said, But later we found areas where they cut through the sheet rock. The carpet is cheap and did not last. Now I'm looking for waterproof wood flooring. And I won't be getting it from here. read more

I stopped in Empire Rugs to ask about a repair for a persian rug that was fraying on both ends. There were loose threads along the edge that I tripped over, but I didn't want to cut anything. Ben and Luis, his re-weaver and rug repairer, looked at the rug and assured me they could easily repair it. Luis explained to me what he would do--unravel a row or two to make it even, then tie off the threads neatly. The repair was done in a day! My rug looks brand new; it actually looks better than when it was new, as Luis tied off smaller knots than were originally made. It looks fantastic, and the repair amount was very reasonable. read more

These guys really understand customer service and they have exceeded our expectations in every way. It starts with Ben the owner and it spreads to the entire team. The selection of rugs which includes custom made rugs that you can design with Ben, is amazing. We settled on a beautiful high quality rug that was , (they say a great rug is an investment and we agree with that viewpoint), that was not cheap but priced like it was wholesale. We were extremely satisfied. They delivered and set up the rug same day, and the guys did a great job. About a month later we unfortunately had a roof leak, and wouldn't you know it, the leak happened on the most prominent part of the rug. Besides the ceiling and flooring being destroyed, the rug was stained and it made us absolutely sick. We brought the rug to Ben and he ended up getting the stains out and it was a huge relief. What we really appreciated besides getting the stain removed was Ben's attitude and customer service. There was no guarantee he could get the stain out but it was how he engaged with us, his willingness, and how old fashioned customer service values are applied! We really appreciated it, so thank you Ben, its not everyday as a consumer that you get that level of service. We highly recommend Empire Rugs. I am so happy with my new rug! I am really picky and it wasn't easy to find the right colors and design that works with my room. Ben was so fun to work with and very patient as I looked at every rug in the showroom! He even brought one rug out, set it up, moved my heavy furniture and I called him the next day to say it wasn't working for me.
