I fell for the 40% off of the DOSIST cartridges plus a battery for $1.00. I bought two battery and two cartridges. I should have know when the cashier told me there was a 24 hour return policy as she presents the batteries and puts them in my bag. Well of course they do not work. The staff was nice, but I did feel weird about the employee who approached me to help because he literally followed me around everywhere I walked to. It was really awkward, but I think he meant well. They always start with what are you looking for today "Indica, sativa, or hybrid" and that's there gateway into "selling" to you and staying on you the whole tI believe the employees have started doing the "over the top, up sell, and stay on you the whole time" type of care because the management heavily encourages but, it's off putting and the interaction should be more organic and easy. I HATE THIS PLACE! I have been to this store multiple times and the online order window sucks. There's no point in ordering online, if it's going to take 30 minutes to pick up the order. I've ordered online multiple times and every time it's at least a 20 minute wait with only 1 person ahead of me. It takes them 10 minutes to help a customer because they are too busy trying to get you to get them janky promo specials. Today, was the last straw. I have been going to Green Chamber lately, but decided to stop here cause it was closer. I ordered online and when I got there, it was no one in line and 2 people already being helped at the window. It took 20 minutes to pick up my order. The people working the windows are more concerned about them stupid promos than serving the customers. It is no reason it should take that long to pick up a order that was already placed. They really need to work on their service. Went today and was very happy with their anniversary discounts until we were missing our $1 promos.First, we were told their computer screen to order was down, then we had to go to the back counter for some items and those quantities weren't called in correctly so we had to let the them know. Then we had to go to the other counter. When we called back and explained we were missing the 2 items, we were met with hostility that it was our fault, and we got the discount, which was untrue. I was warmly greeted by the Security guards then some of their staff then to check in through the rep who would help me in regards to some of their products they offer . Then after you select your products you stand in line "social distance " check out protocol . Then while I waited I moved forwards once it was my turn. I had niko & Troy assist me . Something weird is going on with the review count here. The count fluctuates daily. But make no mistake, Empire is multi-hundred 5 star rated place. Everything is A-1 here. The place is nice inside and out. They are pretty high tech inside. You pick product up and place it on a sensor and then it pops up on a tv screen to give you more info about it. The staff is super knowledgeable too. During covid they are on point too. Great social distancing, and they even take your temp before being allowed to enter... The first time we came here was frustrating for my husband, he waited in line and when he FINALLY got up to the front, he saw a sign that said cash only. There should definitely be a sign when you first enter saying "cash only". The girl checking people in goes, "Oh, I didn't tell you it was cash only?" He told her no and she goes, "Oh. Well, there's an ATM but it's out of service," and just moved on and started talking with someone. No apology, nothing. So kinda rude. However, the second time I went because my husband already has a negative view of this place, but I wanted to give them another chance. When I went, the staff was friendly. They offered us bottles of water. No, I also was not told at check in that it was cash only, luckily at that point I knew from my husband's experience, but for those who are coming for the first time, you should absolutely tell them when you are checking customers in that it's cash only. Considering the situation (COVID) they're pretty well organized. However, it's extremely frustrating when you're waiting in line to pick up an online order for 20+ minutes and they are helping people in the back of the line who literally JUST got there. Maybe just have extra person in the front? That just doesn't make sense to me. Overall, it was a fine experience for me, they have a wide variety of inventory and they update their website frequently so you know exactly what they have in stock. They over tax and then make it more complicated than it needs to be. I don't know why I brought a gram of wax for 45 and paid 53 one time and then the next I got a coupon for 5 dollars off. I figured if I picked a 50 dollar gram it would be 45 after discount and then it would be taxed as the last visit. Nope it was 55. Super messed up to give people a discount but then over tax them. I'll never be back no matter what But they dont care they have the market for store fronts in the 909. Just like the every other industry out there, push the cost to the consumers.
