I set up a nine AM appointment to get my eyes examined and measured for contacts. When making the appointment, I made it very clear that I was looking to start contacts for the first time and needed to be fitted and everything. After my initial exam, I was informed that they didn't have anyone on staff to do the fitting and tutorial on putting in and removing the contacts, so they would have to schedule me for a different day. They then insisted that I had to pay $80 in advance for this new appointment. I don't understand why they scheduled the initial appointment for an hour and a half before anyone would be there to carry it out, wasting over and hour and a half of my time when factoring in the drive, and I certainly don't appreciate being charged in advance for the new appointment that had to be made as a result of the first mistake. I will be keeping the appointment I've paid out of pocket for so that I don't have to fight for a refund and start all over somewhere else but that will be the last time I use the services at Visionworks. read more

What a miserable excuse for a Doctor's office. Across all of my years, even living in less than admirable neighborhoods in deep Brooklyn have I ever seen someone so disaffected with the care of their patients. I would say perhaps their was some other motivation behind the Dr.'s carelessness, maybe the fact that there was a language barrier for my 90 year old grandfather, but it seems that many others have had similar experiences. If I wanted to get my eyes checked by such a cracked out troglodyte I'm sure there are some in a truck stop parking lot who'd charge much less. read more

As always my visit to the Empire Visionworks at Cobblestone Court is a pleasurable, comfortable, friendly and fruitful experience. I always find the frames I want and my eyeglass prescription is filled professionally and accurately. All of this is made possible by the staff that works at that location. In particular Heidi who always makes my wife and I very comfortable and her professionalism is above compare. Over the years she remembers us and treats us like friends. We will continue to do business at this location as long as they maintain employees like Heidi and Jason. read more

Why would I go to a physical location if I wanted to use telehealth? I wasn't even told that there wouldn't be a doctor on site when I made the appointment. What a pathetic excuse for an optometrist. When I went there a year and a half ago I had a great experience, but this ruined it. I will NEVER go back here. Nor will I let anyone I work with, as we are a part of the largest union in the country I'd imagine it will make in impact. Pathetic excuse for an optometrist. Dr Williams is quite professional and takes her time with the patient. I've been to other local offices but am much happier with the Victor location. Seems they got some bad reviews for another doctor early. May that doctor has left. Dr Wilson is great. read more

Don't bother to try and call. I tried multiple times and was kept on hold for up to 15 minutes before finally giving up each time. Was told the reason is they are "so busy and understaffed...it's not on purpose". How's that for customer service?! Picked up my sunglasses tonight for the second time because the first time around they were made with the focal point off. They needed adjustment but I didn't even bother to have it done. The optometrist at this location deserves zero stars for their Idea of care. I brought in my 87 year old grandfatheras he does not speak english very well. I wanted to help translate for him. As soon as our interaction began the optometrist Dr Sugnet - was unpleasant and rude. The worst patient care I have ever experienced in my life and I come from a family of doctors. Zero manners and highly unprofessional. As a person who provides care and service it is your job and duty to treat your patients with respect and care. The person showed no respect and was very condescending and rude. His tone and the way he spoke to us is unacceptable. He was impatient and easily frustrated and basically yelling at us as he was in a rush to leave since we were the last appointment of the day. If you get an Elderly patient you should consider his age and the time it takes to process things. That is part of your job or don't accept patients of that age if you do not have the respect and patience. He literally ran out the door of the building as soon as we were done. Also if you are in a rush to leave and frustrated you have an appointment -Do not schedule appointments at 5pm. We will not be returning to this this place ever again after this experience. This doctor was extremely disrespectful forget anything else. Don't call yourself a professional or a doctor if this is your idea of care for your patients you are being paid to see. They are great to go to. Almost no wait time every time I go, and the staff is beyond friendly. Last time I went they were so patient with me when I was struggling to put my contacts in the first time, and even gave me a free pair of sunglasses too. This store is amazing. TONS of frames to chose from. I didn't feel pressured by the opticians at any point. They let me look without pestering me. Extremely satisfied with the staff. My glasses are so nice. Best lenses I have ever had! Went in for an adjustment today and they are just so warm and welcoming! Check them out! I and my husband have been going to this Visionworks for over 20 years and until yesterday, have always been treated professionally. I am not a complainer. I don't remember ever feeling the need to write a negative review like this. HOWEVER, yesterday I underwent an exam from Optometrist Sugnet. I was blindsided by this individual. He was rude, condescending and sarcastic. I'm nearly 60 years old and certainly don't take kindly to being treated like this from a 30 something know it all snot. While he found my eyes to be absolutely healthy and no need to change my prescription, he berated and chastised me like I was a child for exceeding his recommended time frame for having the exam. When I asked questions his responses were inadequate and abrupt. After the exam, I walked out feeling like I had just been in the principals' office in 5th grade. While paying my bill I explained what had happened to Amy telling her that I never, ever wish to see this Optometrist again. Amy stated, "I understand" and noted that this individual is "part-time". She seemed embarrassed, as if she's heard it before regarding this individual. Amy handled this situation professionally and while I felt like a "chump" having to pay for this rude individuals' service, I least came away with the feeling I had had my say. My recommendation to Visionworks would be to get rid of Sugnet. If this is his "M.O.", he has and will likely continue to cause a loss of customers. My recommendation to anyone needing an eye exam, if you go to Visionworks, make sure to avoid this individual. read more

I have always been pleased with the visionworks in Victor. The staff and doctor are very pleasant and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

Never have I experienced such bad-manners from a medical professional. Dr. Paterno was rude, condescending, and abrupt. He questioned my knowledge of my own eye care, berated me for my past contact lens preferences, and generally talked to me as if I were child deserving punishment (I'm in my mid-30s). Amy, the receptionist, was kind and well-prepared. When I walked in, she was on phone, the other phone line was ringing (and the three other employees in the back were just standing around), and she still managed to greet me and attend to my needs. I would never again return to this Visionworks except that in order to receive my contact lens prescription (which was $28 more than was quoted to me on the phone), I have to return for a fitting. In my 20 years of wearing contact lenses, I've never been required to return for a fitting - it's normally been done the same day of my exam. This also would have been useful information to know when I originally called to make my appointment and explicitly asked about a fitting. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

This Visionworks is the best I've ever been to. The doctors are extremely kind and helpful. They don't talk down to you and answer all of your questions and concerns. The staff is friendly and fantastic. They make your feel comfortable with your eyeglass/contact choices and work with you on your payment and insurance options. I won't go anywhere else. read more

They have one gentleman, and I use that term VERY loosely, who's job is to assist in the eye glass selection and ordering who was so incredibly rude and unhelpful. I asked for a copy of my script not understanding that when the doctor told me I would have 3 prescriptions and could decide if I wanted bifocals, reading, or distance glasses that I wouldn't actually get 3 separate prescriptions but rather all in one with only certain numbers used for each type of glasses. He proceeded to get extremely nasty raising his voice, cutting me off as I tried to explain what the doctor has told me (that I obviously didn't understand), and repeating that he's "done this job for 34 years!". Well ass@&$! if you've done it for 34 years you should have picked up on what I was trying to explain and showed me what I needed like the other employee did after he overheard your horrible display of "customer service" -ohh wait that's right you overtalked me and wouldn't let me get a sentence out. NEVER will go back there again for myself or my family!!!! read more

Gave my insurance info Tues, called back to make sure they accepted my insurance, receptionist was rude. Showed up for Saturday appointment and they could not find my insurance after supplying the #.. Rescheduled Tues received a call stating they found my insurance, I called to make sure they "ran it"..same rude receptionist stated "I just told you we have it" I said did you run it? She was short and said yes. I never had such rude services after such incompetence. Had a great exp taking exam with Dr. And the fitting people all great.. That Ghetto receptionist needs to go. 9 days pass and I get my glasses. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THAT STORE , because of her. read more
