PS5 with the first game I bought!

I went to the Employees Only law office today and I was very impressed with everything I saw. The office space was clean, well-decorated and everyone working was welcoming. Jonathan LaCour was incredibly kind and genuine. I won his PS5 giveaway and I can confirm it is 100% real. I will definitely be reaching out to Jonathan in the future if I have any injury or labor law needs! He is the real deal!!

I love the monopoly art in the waiting room

Without a doubt we have been blessed to have found the best attorney we could have found. I have dealt with family attorneys. I have dealt with car accident attorneys. This law firm was the best I have dealt with. Super professional from the beginning to the end and always makes sure that we get the best outcome. I came to Employees First looking for someone to take a small overtime claim (not to be millionaires) and we were able to secure the best outcome. Mr LaCour knows all the secrets and will do everything to get top dollar even with COVID. The only sucky part is that we have to get payments but that is to be expected for the amount that we got and the problem with the economy. No wonder he was made the attorney of the month on the magazine. He should be attorney of the year. Shout out to Jessica and Fred too!

They were always kind, patient, and willing to answer every question I had. I really appreciated how they kept me informed with regular updates and explained things in a way I could actually understand. What impressed me the most was how hard they fought for me. I honestly expected to receive only a small amount, but they helped me get a settlement that was way more than I imagined. I'm so thankful for all their help and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a team that truly cares about their clients.

I had my accident the December before 2020. I Was badly injured. It was a stressful situation…read moreespecially considering it was the start of the pandemic to add on top of my ordeal. However, Michael and his team took care of me and did everything they could to make my experience less stressful. They scheduled all my doctor's appointments for check ups and my appointments for rehab. Followed up with continuing care and physical therapy for over a year. They did all that they could so that I solely could focus on my recovery. But It's currently 2026, so why am I writing this now? Let me explain. A year after my settlement was completed, I was getting mysterious calls for collections for my ambulance ride. However, the bill was never sent to me to verify the debt. Michael assured to me that the paperwork they sent was not the right paperwork to verify. But me being skeptical was still afraid and overly cautious because I'm a person who pays all his debts, and didn't want my credit score affected. So Michael suggested that he can hold some of the settlement money as a "just in case" fund until the statutes of limitations expire. I think I can say that for any normal person, this would also seem to be a kind of sticky situation to take on as an alternative, right? Because this agreement requires trust. But in the end his team wrote a contract and I agreed and signed to hold the money. Now to why I'm writing this now; it has been years past since the settlement. To the point where I forgot the statute of limitations timeline. I was contacted by Michael late December of 2025 to schedule an appointment first week after the new year. It was our final appointment and I just received the last portion of my settlement that I forgot about! So trust was definitely earned and received. Excellent customer service.

I spoke to Alejandra long and loud from the very beginning I felt a sense of hope. she was always very professional and on point and specially when she said I will call you back SHE DID !! I retained this firm in June of 2023. My case was in default by March 2024. After two failed attempted to get the packet approved from March to January or 2025, they let the default judgment packet sit idle for 18 months. In June of 2025 defendant's business closed at which time, I requested they request an expedited hearing to get the packet approved. The request was ignored. Instead, they filed continuances without telling me. I was physically sick when I realized the packet they finally submitted after 18 months is substantively identical to the previous packet. Throughout this process, I repeatedly reached out for updates. I often have had to reach out multiple times to get a response and many of the responses I received were confusing, incomplete, or contradicted earlier explanations and the court records. I often felt like I wasn't being given the full picture of what was happening with my case. When I asked for basic case information--billing records, a timeline, an explanation of delays--I was told by Tara Hattendorf my requests were "not reasonable or practicable." When I asked about malpractice insurance, Tara told me I was creating a conflict of interest. I'm sharing my experience because I don't want anyone else to go through the stress, confusion, and emotional toll that I am. I filed a complaint with the State Bar so they can review what happened. I trusted this firm, and I regret that trust. I hope my experience helps someone else make an informed decision.

Since they primarily work on contingency basis, I felt like my time being spent with them was worth it, as it was clearly worth it to them to be working the case without me initially having to pay a lot of lawyer's fees. Specifically, I worked with Levon as my primary attorney, and my conversations and experiences with him were extremely professional, succinct and informational. I felt respected during the entire process, which is very valuable to me, and every time I brought a concern, viewpoint or question to his attention, he made sure to answer it the best he could, within specific guidelines. Additionally, he always made sure to clue me in to when the situation needed touches of realism. I was straightforward and thorough in the evidence I brought to him, and received a higher level of service back. Very pleased with the experience, and would be happy to recommend Levon in the future.

I understand the limitations of at-will employment, but the response felt dismissive and didn't take the time to consider any specific details of my situation. It left me genuinely confused about the role of an employment law firm in California if this is the default stance. I was hoping for at least some guidance or insight, not a one-line shutdown.
