This is a place to chill, get a drink or two, and people-watch. When the live music sets in, things get quite animated and loud, but not in a chaotic or turnt up way. I saw lots of people come in, have a drink, and leave after a little while. Delilah is next door, so maybe this is a good place for a quick meal or a pre-game drink. We opted to have dinner, which was decent. The meatballs lacked some real flavor, the fries were delicious albeit quite salty, the burger was okay, and the tableside steak tartare seriously did not need to be mixed tableside... I was also not keen on the flavor of the tartare, and I happen to adore steak tartare and steak carpaccios. Alas. Valet parking or street parking are your options in this area. So, overall, cool vibe - but not going to be a memorable experience for the food.

The NY import does not disappoint! Fantastic interiors, fantastic cocktails, and a delightful food menu. I came here with friends and had a great time. Unlike the NY original the main improvement of this LA version is that there is so much more space!

Got together with a good friend and was visiting from out of the country. He was staying in the area and searched bar/lounge and this place came up. We came for drinks only but was surprised with complimentary chicken noodle soup! Bartender was top notch. My friend ordered a whisky sour. I've never had it before but my friend said that's how you see if the bartender is good and he approved. The place itself was pretty chill.

Swanky, old Hollywood bar. Almost feels like a movie set for a James Bond film or something. We sat at the bar and had a couple appetizers and happy hour drinks. The bartenders are very nice and fun to talk to. It's dark and moody in here, a nice respite from the busy WeHo street outside. They played fun music, but I almost feel like they need a live pianist. This would be a great spot to pre or post game a more formal event. I had the basil margarita, which was just ok. Felt like it was missing something. Not super basil-y, very sour, something was off. The fries with aioli were very good. Shoestring situation always hits the spot for me.

Late review but I went with my bestfriend for the first time recently and we had such a good time! It was great, the drinks and happy hour snacks were amazing! Luis our bartender was so awesome and talented!! I really can't wait to go back! Thanks for having us :)

This place is great for a date! Cute and romantic vibe. They have HH deals as well. The Pepperoni Pizza and Crispy BBQ Chicken Pizza were soooo good - crispy, flavorful and just delicious. I will say the pastas were good but not anything amazing. I had gotten the Pistachio Pesto Pasta. I actually could've done with a little more flavor here. Overall, so worth coming back for their pizzas though!

Cute cocktail bar! Love the vibes and music. Came for happy hour (make a reservation before hand) and enjoyed the drinks and food. No complaints.

My partner and I stopped by Employees Only for a nightcap during Fourth of July weekend. We were already a bit buzzed and looking for a more upbeat vibe, but the atmosphere was quiet and more refined, which is fine, just not what we expected. The kitchen was closed, so we just ordered drinks. I can't remember the name of the cocktail I had, but it was a blackberry twist on a Cosmo, and it was delicious. I still crave it and would go back just for that drink. Overall, it's a great spot for a cute date night or a girls' night out--intimate and classy.

delicious cocktails! this place has a moody and romantic aesthetic yet felt lively and fun. my boyfriend and i came in on a saturday night and were able to quickly find seating at the bar. staff were super friendly and attentive! it made the experience so much nicer. parking was pretty hard to find, (as expected for LA) but good spot for bar hopping.

This is such a cute speakeasy. The interior is moody and perfect for a date night. We came without reservations around 6 pm on a weeknight and we weren't able to get a table but were able to snag seats at the bar, our drinks were great and I got the two drink option for the Cucumber lemon drop which is a nice deal. The drink was so refreshing! I had the pasta which was decent, I'd be back to try the food because I did see some dishes that I may have missed out on.

Great vintage West Hollywood vibe, decent prices, bone marrow appetizer, happy hour prices. The service at the bar was fabulous and made the night.

It was a "treat yo'self" kind of month for book club and when Employees Only was suggested, we all agreed it looked like a great spot. And wow, what a menu! While our server Vesna V. was fine, the real stars of the evening were the food and drinks. I kicked things off with the hand-cut steak tartare which was prepared tableside. It was seriously delicious and I can't recommend it enough. Then I followed that up with the double wagyu burger because, apparently, I was on a beef kick that night. So good! My dining companions were adventurous with their drinks, ordering everything from a cherry bomb to "when in Oaxaca," a couple of bartender's choice beverages with vodka, a billionaire, and an exotic espionage. I went for the mocktail version of the ritual rum which was good but I was hit with a $3 upcharge for it... For food my friends ordered a variety of dishes: arancini, truffle parmesan fries, fried calamari, shrimp scampi, and the burrata margherita pizza. Everything was tasty and the atmosphere of the place had a ton of potential. It was a bit on the empty side since it was during the wildfires in LA but I was thankful to be able to dine here. Overall, good food, good company, and a cool spot. While I might be back in the future, I'll probably check out some other restaurants in the area first and hopefully they won't upcharge for a mocktail.

Overall a nice experience because my bf and I always have a great time whatever we do. But the service was not the best. Took a long time to get their attention and then they would never check on us. The biggest pet peeve was asking if we were done with our food and when answering that we're still working on it, the person still removed it. Same thing happened with the drinks. Clearly hadn't finished our drinks and the person still took the drinks from our table. This left a bad taste in our mouths. But I like the place and the music was great and so was the vibe.

I'm looking at making a reservation on your website for my husband's birthday...but what is the difference between the main room and the back room? It's just the two of us so would one be more private or "romantic" than the other?

The back room is perfect for small groups. I went to a party in the back room with about 40 people. It was perfect. That room is probably a little too big for two people.…

Are u guys closed on monday?

Check out their hours on Yelp.

Can I just pop in for a drink without making a reservation?

    Yes, we accept walk-ins.

    How late is kitchen open?

    Kitchen closes at 11:30pm

Are you guys open right now?

As of right now for Outdoor Dining Only. Not sure when indoor will be open. Hopefully soon!

Is the outdoor area dog friendly?

As of 8/6/21, their website now says outdoor cocktail garden is pet friendly.

How do I reserve for Henry's Room?

Is there dancing? What type of music do the play?

Not particularly a dance floor but I have seen girls dancing. Its hip hop dj music

Where is the best place to park?

There is valet available next door

Are reservations required for a group of 20 people who just want to get cocktails? How would I make the reservation as the website only says "Dinner / Dining Room"?

Hi Jessica - If you’re looking to have a table as your “home base” or rent out Henry’s Room for a private cocktail party for a group of 20, then you can email info@employeesonlyla.com. Cheers! - Tom

    Yes! Everyday from 6pm-7pm

How crowded does it get on a Saturday night? Can I move around?

It gets pretty packed, but you are still able to move around

Your food looks great! What time does your kitchen close?

    11pm Sunday thru Thursday and 12am Friday/Saturday

How strict are they with the dress code? Jeans and sneakers ok for guys?

Sounds fine. Mainly we frown upon sandals and shorts.

As we walked in, nothing caught our attention more than the brilliant lively atmosphere. As we took our seats we awaited what would surely be a culinary journey. We ordered the margarita pizza, the calamari, the meatballs, garlic bread, and the pasta pomodoro. Fortunately and unfortunately, our first dish of the night happened to be the garlic bread. The bread locked. It's garlic butter flavor, or that of flavor at all. if it was all we had ordered, Met Him At A Bar would surely be given one star, but thankfully they had more to offer. The meatballs for one held our attention much longer than that of the garlic bread. The flavoring in the meatballs themselves brought us straight back to our childhood straight back to our roots, as the creamy marinara sauce brought the dish to life. A simple yet elegant dish truly. For us, the calamari was simply there. It's maintained everything you want in a calamari yet added nothing new. It stood out to us not in a world of flavor, texture, and culinary experiences. The Margarita Pizza, however it was quite small. What it lacked in size was made up for in flavor. The melted mozzarella mixed with pizza sauce on the pizza to create a pool of flavor, lingering in the middle of the pizza until one slice is picked up and eaten. Lastly, the pasta Pomodoro. The sauce was thin, the pasta was overcooked instead of al dente. In the singular basil leaf stood atop the pasta, not for flavor, but to save the appearance of a disgraceful pomodoro. The outdoor space is still beautiful, but , unfortunately the LOUD music ruins the ambiance. People have to scream to hear their table mates. So we asked to be transferred indoors. Music still loud but less people screaming. the indoor space has been poorly maintained, floors are worn out, everything looks, well, old. Food: fried calamari... well cooked, tender, totally flavorless. Caesar Salad with chicken... VERY little dressing (we had to request more as well as salt and pepper, the chicken... dry as cardboard. The only good thing about this experience was the attentive waitress, unfortunately I didn't ask her name. What a disappointment!
