Ordered: Nannerz Slice (~$8): banana custard, caramel sauce, and whip Aya's take: I was in the mood for a sweet treat after lunch and found myself at Emporium Pies. They offer 4 flavors year-round and 4 seasonal/rotating flavors. I went with the Nannerz Slice which was deliciously satisfying from the cold banana custard to the flaky (somewhat dry) pie crust, and the caramel sauce and whip. The staff was super friendly and helpful at explaining their menu. Worth a try!
I really hate to be a Debbie downer, because pie is my all time favorite dessert. I know they say apple pie is the lord of pies but I beg to differ, it's pecan pie for me. I came by here just to get the drunken nut and unfortunately I was so disappointed. It was not good. Hard, tasted like caramel and just didn't have that classic pecan pie taste. I ate a couple bites and had to throw the rest away. The only positive thing I can say is that the packaging was cute.
So many pies, so little time. (Freaking parking meter) jokes aside they'll validated your parking fee. Just scan the QR code by the ordering counter. For this visit, I had their Smooth Operator and Buttercream Gang. Yes! Two slices! One to eat at the store and one to-go. You can never go wrong with what you get because for sure this will be the highlight of your day in DE. Definitely can't wait to come back to try another pie variety.
The Smooth Operator (French silk chocolate pie with a salted pretzel crust) is sooooo rich. At $8 a slice, those slices are a little too small but the taste is big! We also had the Drop Dead Gorgeous (according to the menu it's a perfectly spiced pumpkin pie with a gingerbread crust). The pumpkin flavor is good but there is much more cinnamon in it than I like. Their pancakes staff is always very friendly. Their seating area isn't huge but we've never been when we couldn't get a seat either.
Small pie shop that is 100% worth checking out. I was on a food tour and this was our last stop. Cute interior was plenty of seating. Of course I couldn't eat all the pie they had so picked just one, the chocolate pie with a pretzel crust. It wad phenomenal. Highly recommend and if I lived near by I'd probably be by once a week. My friend tried the key lime pie and said that was worth it too.

This is my favorite pie spot in Texas! I had family friends visiting from out of state and told them I would take them to my favorite desert spot. It was getting late in the day so I knew that many of the options would be gone, which they were, but they still had 4 flavors for us. We got each one and my friend took the gluten free option which she was happy they had. They also have military discount with a valid I.D. The flavors constantly change here which I love. My friends truly enjoyed the pie. The workers were accommodating and sweet. The building is small and clean. If I am ever in the area, I will always pop in and support this business. You should definitely come on in and try it as well! Selfies with my crew and one of the ladies that helped us this summer as well.
Emporium Pies is legit. I love how they have a nice selection that have different crust. Our cashier went over the menu in details. A few looked so good but was so full so I only ended up with 1 pie Don't even know the exact name but it was a blueberry pie. Not too sweet. So easy to eat. Taste not like any other pies. Definitely recommend this place if you like pies as much as I do. Next time I'll get the apple!!
i wanted a nice sweet treat post dinner so i decided to come to this pie cafe upon reading so many great reviews. it was tucked away in a very cute neighborhood & the aesthetic of the shop matched the name so well! it was very cute inside and all the workers were so friendly. the cashier gave us a bunch of recommendations, leading me to order the mellow yellow (lemon pie). the first bite was incredible! the pie portion was extremely soft and fluffy. the flavors meshed so well and satisfied my lemon craving. the crust was pretty good too but it was a bit too thin for my liking. my only complaint is for the crust to be slightly thicker to match the ratio of the custard portion. overall, i would recommend this place to friends family. it was sooo delicious. i still think about this pie to this day.
5/5. I went here last year when I visited the area and I went here twice this trip. the staff is SUPER helpful when you ask questions about their pie selections. I had the lemon one, which was sold out when I visited the next day. this place is worth stopping by if you like pie, a staple if you're from out of town
OMG PIE. I love PIE. I went with my bestie here cause he hyped it up. I get it. It was 100% worth every sugar / calorie filled bite! Ha This place has a grandma's kitchen feeling inside! I am not a cinnamon person but LOVED the pies. We got one piece of each slice to try. Two on certain flavors and they were BOMB! I will be back! Plenty of parking around the area and a lot of seating at the location too! Cute water station inside too!
for management - Sat at 4 - no French Silk or deep dish apple pies available. My slice of pie to go had raw pastry. I remember the McKinney location the deep dish apple was OMG! What happened? Giving a one Deep Ellum staff very nice.

The pecan pie was DELICIOUS! Not to sound dramatic but it was the best I've ever had, and I don't tend to like pecan pie because they are all wayyy too sweet but this wasn't, it was perfect! Try it!! read more
A fun place to get some yummy desserts in Deep Ellum. The menu offers a variety of pies and all of them look tempting. Our group ordered different pies and we got to get a taste of everything. They were all delicious. Loved the Bonnie & Pie'd. The pies are made fresh with clean ingredients. The establishment offers limited seating and the decor is inviting and comfortable. Service is fast and to-go orders are packed well. Overall a wonderful place to enjoy some desserts. Not a cheap option for sure but you get value for the money you pay. Definitely recommend visiting the location. read more

My husband and I shared: - Dapper Apple / Lord of the Pies - Muffin Man - Drunken Nut I couldn't pick a favorite between the apple and blueberry pies. They were both fantastic. The pecan pie wasn't my favorite, but that's true in general (we got it for my husband). I'm usually more of a cobbler person than a pie person, but this place is fantastic. It's a must try in Dallas! read more

Charging $8 for a tiny piece of Smooth Operator is like $1.33 per bite. It's delicious, but was much more salty than I remember it used to be. The crust tasted a bit like it was made of saltines. And the staff seemed disinterested in anything but made sure to turn the screen around and let me know to tip. read more

Pie was soo good! It was also such a cute little restaurant. Walk up to the counter, see the pies, order a slice. It was great! It is a large piece so it is okay to share or take home! We liked both the apple and pecan pie! read more
Wanted to snag a quick treat after having some tacos nearby. Stumbled upon Emporium and decided to have a slice of Dutch apple pie. The pie crust was stiff as a board but the filling was tasty. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it, but if you just need some dessert, it's by no means a bad stop. The guys working there were super chill and friendly. Vibe was quaint and relaxed. 3/5 Tip: Workers told me that they're most known for their chocolate pies. So if that's your vibe, give it a try. read more

Super cute pie shop with a few tables inside and out. It's very easy to order but they do run out of some pies early so make sure to come earlier in the day if you want a specific flavor. I wanted to try the red velvet pie but it was sold out so I got to try these two instead. The chocolate pie was very rich and not too sweet. Almost like a ganache with a crumbly gram crust. The other pie I got was also delicious but very different as it was light and airy and creamy. Both were delicious and would come again to try other ones. A bit pricy for a small slice but it's so rich that it satisfys the sweet craving! read more

The individual slice prices are absurd when considering what you're getting. $8-9. For one slice. Not even a generous slice. Or a particularly high quality pie at that. This kinda state fair level bamboozlement is wild. During our first visit (last year), we had purchased a full pie (the Dr. Love) and while that was also expensive, the flavor (and perhaps a little bit of an internalized assertion that higher cost = higher quality) helped to justify it in my mind at the time. This most recent visit though left me more annoyed than anything else. read more

Emporium Pies only has eight pies on their menu, but the three that I tried are outstanding! This is definitely a case of quality over quantity. I tried the simple yet elegant peach pie. It was so good that I had it again on my second visit. I also tried a bite of a blackberry pie with a custard-y base. Wonderful! They also offered a pop-up pie for the Independence Day holiday. It was strawberries and blueberries. Another hit on my list! Definitely recommend! read more

I came here so far twice in my Dallas visit. I really love the pecan pie with the ice cream on top. It is absolutely delicious and it taste like an authentic old-fashioned pecan pie. One slice can definitely be filling for two people. read more

The best pies ever! Get the Lord of the Pies if you have to choose one! I've had Emporium Pies for the holidays for the last few years, and it never fails to be the best and my favorite pies. They're all massive (we're talking at least 3 inches high worth of filling), flaky crust, and fresh ingredients with great flavor. Lord of the Pies is my favorite because the crunchy cinnamon streusel compliments their soft apple filling. I've also had the chocolate pie which is really smooth, the pecan pie which has nice small crunches of pecan, and the nannerz which has the right balance of banana flavor. You can order a whole pie or get a slice to enjoy. Either way, you can't go wrong! read more

Emporium Pies never disappoints! I ordered slices of the Smooth Operator and Drunken Nut, and they are hands down the best pies I've ever tasted. I love them so much that I even order them through DoorDash and gladly pay extra for the convenience. They pair perfectly with Blue Bell ice cream, making them an indulgent treat every time. When I visited the store, Chels provided exceptional service--she was incredibly attentive and made the experience even more enjoyable. Emporium Pies has definitely earned its spot as a must-visit for anyone who loves great dessert! read more
The pies are absolutely fantastic. Staff are super friendly and take time to explain every pie to you. We got their apple pie which was undoubtably the best pie I've ever had. So why 3 stars? It is due to their company calling themselves a "merchandise" store on their point-of-sale system (credit card machine). This affects the credit card you might use here as you would expect to use a card that is beneficial for restaurants, which this is NOT classified as. Overall, delicious pies, but just be prepared for the false store categorization. read more

The location of this emporium pies is really nice - amongst a slew of other restaurants so people can get their fix of dessert after lunch or dinner. It's a Decently sized interior to match the cute theme; able to sit down and eat and enjoy the cool AC. I dropped in to see what the hype was about and settled on their buttercream gang pie slice. The Nannerz was sold out for the day and the other pie slices look alright, nothing too special. I was greeted by the hostess and she made great convo but doesn't like pie so I thought that was interesting. Nonetheless she was sweet and made sure I was taken care of. The slice - decently cut but small in size in comparison to the apple pie slice. First bite and I instantly noticed it was dry - like I knew I was going to bed a 33 oz size bottle of water to get through this slice. It was smooth in texture but lacked flavor. I was sincerely dissatisfied. Not to mention the slices are $8.00 so having it be small in cutting and dry, I was pretty pressed Last thing to note: I was charged a city and state tax for a slice of pie. Excuse me wheeet?! Y'all couldn't choose one or the other? I'm just saying. read more

Paying $8 for a slice of pie that's smaller than my hand feels excessive, especially when considering that Texas is known for its larger portions. I wouldn't mind the price if the pies were exceptional, but the key lime pie's cream wasn't even a classic meringue and didn't enhance the flavor. Slices in New York don't even cost this much. Overall, this was a disappointment for me. read more
I had lunch next door to this Emporium Pies location -- I believe there are several Emporium Pies spread throughout North Dallas. I ordered a slice of the Cloud 9 pie on the menu. It was very sweet but I could tell these guys have their recipe dialed in. The pie is described on the menu as "three layer custard pie with salted caramel, butterscotch custard and brown sugar meringue in a flaky crust" -- very unique as the custard and meringue were both fluffy and yet distinctive. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I was hoping to try a slice of Banana Cream Pie but it wasn't on their menu this visit. As seasons change, maybe I'll make it in to see the offering on their menu (since it changes by season). read more

The staff explained all the pies and options with a smile and workers seemed pretty happy. Inside was very clean with seating for about 15 people inside and also an out. Fun little spot... had a blueberry pie and a pretzel crust chocolate, the blueberry was pretty dry. Maybe they should do some dynamic pricing for the older pies. read more

What happened to their Basic Beach Pie?
They usually rotate certain pies..It's not available now but it may comeback. If you can recall when you had it due to the season may also have a factor.
