Before heading to a Great Falls Americans hockey game last week, I stopped in for dinner and drinks at Enbär, and it turned out to be the perfect pre‑game move. While I'm usually an old fashioned kind of person, this time I went rogue and ordered the Fireside Chat--a decadent mix of marshmallow‑infused vodka, white chocolate, cream, and chocolate, finished with a toasted marshmallow garnish. Comforting, rich, and just indulgent enough, it paired surprisingly well with the Enbär fries. And let's talk about those fries: bring your appetite. Even the half size could easily feed a table of ravenous folks. They come with two dipping sauces of your choice, and while I felt a little bad neglecting the BBQ sauce, I could not stop going back for the habanero bacon jam. Sweet, spicy, smoky--absolute scene stealer. For dessert (or what technically landed in the dessert slot), I had the Asian salad with chicken, which was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and a nice counterbalance to all the indulgence that came before it. We hadn't been here for a while so I'm not sure if this was the norm now but last night wasn't good. We stopped in for drinks and appetizers, the service was slow, the food wasn't great, the drinks were tasty. The pork belly appetizer wasn't cooked as it should be and tasted old. The waitress was friendly but we didn't get our drinks until after the food arrived. Something about they ran out of Malibu and had to wait for a manager to unlock where another bottle was stored? We decided to sit on the patio but once seated we noticed it was not maintained and was dirty. If you are going to have an outdoor patio you really need to keep it clean, wash off the cobwebs, wash the windows, clean the gutter that runs along the street. Summer is short in Montana and if a business is lucky enough to have one of the sidewalk patios they should a least maintain what they have. read more

I made a reservation for the special Valentine's Day dinner at $150 for 2. At 5:30 pm we were seated at a 8 place high top table- not what I expected or wanted for a special dinner. We were told no other tables were available and if I wanted a low top table I should've requested one in the comments when I made the reservation. I didn't see any place for special requests. The manager/owner spoke to us but offered nothing but an "I'm sorry". He could have comped our drinks. The service was rushed. We had our entrees dropped on the table before we finished our salads. The dessert came out before we were done with the entree and the bill came before we were finished with our drinks. The servers didn't know where to deliver the food. The food was decent but not exceptional. Not the special experience I hoped for. The couple next to us were delightful but they too were surprised by the seating at a communal table on a romantic holiday. I had the pleasure of eating here with my company while on a business trip in Great Falls, MT. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was wonderful and the service was top notch. I had a couple of great tasting drinks, and really enjoyed my entire time. We were lucky enough to have the whole restaurant reserved for our office group and I stayed as long as we could (until near closing time). The French fries were awesome! The IPA was delicious. The Caesar salad was average, dressing was good, too many croutons and the chicken was very dry. I had them remove the chicken and they also removed that from the bill. The staff were super friendly and helpful. You must try the habanero aïoli with the fries. read more

This place was amazing!!!!! I went here with my mom and some friends and we had a great time!! The service was quick and friendly, our waitress also gave great suggestion!! The fried pickles were soooooo good and the enbar fries were great, the garlic aoli sauce is pretty flavorful! The ambiance is so lovely, they play music at a great level so it's not too loud that you can't hear yourself think or talk to others! The Margarita I had was pretty good, a little too sweet for me but I did order a Peach flavored margarita lol! read more

If you're looking for good drinks and small plates this is your place. Updated, modern bar in downtown Great Falls. Good selection of appetizers, you can also order from the spot next door and they will bring it over, The Block. Did not try their food this time. I got a Winter Solstice drink, think it is from their winter menu. I don't drink very much so to me it was really sting on the tequila, but it was good. Co workers had and old fashioned and lavender whiskey sour ( I think it was lavender?!?) Snackcuterie board was great, wish the garlic was severed warm. Needed more cheese. I've eaten at Enbar one time and remembered that the food was good, so while I was in the area this week, I planned to grab some takeout from them. And... I would have, had they answered their phone. I called a handful of times before I questioned myself... "are they even open?" I went to their website and verified that they were indeed open. I tried calling several more times and never once was my call answered... I just kept getting their voicemail. Bummer! read more

Mehhhh I honestly wanted to like this place. Cool vibes inside, friendly staff and nice music. I'm not a drinker but the drinks they were serving looked legit and the other reviews agree. Honestly, maybe I was expecting too much from a bar to have pretty decent food but I was surprised. The Caesar was fine but the bread was stale and over seasoned. I ordered the ribeye because of the other positive reviews here but I regret it. The whole plate was salted to the max and the meat was tough/gristly. I was hungry and tried to scarf down as much as I could but there's only so much salt I can eat. The other items might be good but I won't be coming back here on my return trips. read more

This place can be make it in any city. The style, vibe, food and service were all 5/5. Ordered several apps but the fried artichokes were what I don't see a lot of. They were lightly fried and had a nice dip to accompany. I had the 14 oz ribeye with sautéed mushrooms and fried potatoes. Very tasty. I think the best part of the experience was our server Shiloh. What I absolutely admired about her work ethic was after she got the bill with tip back, she still continued to check up. She gave us more water and was even chatty. Too many times you pay the bill and you are dead to the server. She went the extra mile. Next time I'm in GTF, I'll be sure to have dinner there again. read more

The place has a fun vibe, offers a small loft area for private groups, really friendly service and staff, and has great cocktails. Some of the highest quality hand crafted cocktails I've ever had. The best surprise was the lavender fields - egg whites and gin with a touch of lavender. Incredibly smooth and lightly frothy to make anyone a believer. If you like bourbon spring for the peach bourbon smash as it was truly exceptional. Make sure to grab an order of the enbar fries with the bacon aioli and ancho chili aioli. Quiet and friendly service on a Sunday afternoon. A lovely spot inside and out. After trying a number of other restaurants in Great Falls, I am so happy we landed at enBar tonight! This is THE best restaurant in Great Falls! I'm not sure why it doesn't get higher ratings overall on Yelp but maybe because it promotes itself as a cocktail place? Indeed the cocktails were delicious, especially the raspberry Ritzy Razz. But the food is equally delicious! We loved the fried artichokes which were tender and crispy with a light and tasty batter and aioli dip. The Rib-Eye steak was superb and Parmesan Crusted salmon melted in the mouth. The only criticism I can come up with is that the vegetable side of buttered carrots was made with baby carrots instead of being cut from full carrots. I wouldn't have expected that here. I also wish they would name the ranch where the steak came from - something I enjoy seeing on menus in Montana. read more

Great service, good local microbrew offerings, and decent food! I came here for dinner one evening and looked at the menu offerings online before heading over. Unfortunately as a pescatarian they did not have the shrimp on the menu to day I was there. My only option was the breaded raviolis - so I gladly enjoyed a plate of those in lieu of dinner! Paired with a homemade marinara it was delicious! I probably should have asked for extra marinara as the portion of raviolis was quite generous. It was a little loud the night I was here but the server said it wasn't usually like that on a weeknight. In a town where there aren't a lot of unique restaurants this place is novel and enticing. I enjoyed a Friday night passing through town here with family. They have local Montana whiskey and huckleberry liqueur! The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly. The atmosphere inside is really modern and relaxing. I ordered a Cadillac margarita and a couple amaretto sours and really enjoyed them. We came by for an after dinner drink, and we were really happy to find this vibe & atmosphere in downtown Great Falls :) I loved the space - exposed brick, subway tile, open loft area, and it had a pretty cool window that looks into the bakery next door. The servers were super nice! The drinks were good, and I liked that they were made from local distilleries. I had the Juniper, which was light & refreshing with fresh berries & mint. My husband had the Old Fashioned, which was a little sweeter than most, but I liked that you could really taste the orange peel. We didn't try the food, but the menu looked great! My friends and I went here the week it opened. Service was shit. There were only 4 of us and we asked for bottled beers. It seriously took 15 minutes to get those drinks and there were only 3 other tables in the place that already had drinks. The service was unimpressive. My sister and I decided to give it a second try this weekend. We went in and took a couple of seats at the bar. Place was pretty busy, but felt fun. We asked for 2 bottled beers and the bartender actually snorted, "You want beer?" Umm...what the fuck is wrong with beer? I mean I get your supposed to be a fancy cocktail place, but whoa with the attitude. You ARE in Montana! This chick even went down the bar to loudly tell the other bartender that we just ordered beers. Gasp! How dare we! The drinks were $8 and my sister paid with a $10. The bartender brings our drinks and asks my sister if she wants her change. What? Who in the hell doesn't want their change? If I'm going to give you a tip, then I'M going to give you a tip. You don't dictate that by putting people on blast to see if they want their change back. I fucking hate bartenders who do that. It's bad business. So, bad taste in our mouths, we decided to finish our beers and go. Before we could, the show REALLY started. One of the bartenders-- not the one waiting on us--starts cleaning up. She picks up that rubber drip tray thing under where they make the mixed drinks. She pours all the residual liquid into a rocks glass, then TO MY FUCKING HORROR, asks the people seated at the bar if anyone would pay her $10 to drink it?!?!?!?! No one wanted to see that shit show, so no one offered to pay her. She drank it anyway, much to the delight of the other bartender and the cocktail waitresses who came to watch. Sick! This place is Classy with a capital ASS! I wish I knew how to upload photos here because I took pics of the bartender who drank that piss and the other staff watching.
