    Enchanted Platter for one
    John W.

This place was amazing. I can't wait to go back. I had the enchanted sampler platter and my friend got plantains topped with sauce and shrimp and it was all amazing! Can't wait to go back and try new dishes! The server was friendly and knowledgeable and the ambience was great. Do yourself a favor and skip Caputos just once - just live for once in your life! And don't just get a burger. Please. Pretty please. Thanks.

We visited Encanto on our quest to get a hot dog in every State Capital; this being our Salt Lake City stop. It was a Sunday evening and, not surprisingly, many other hot dog places in the city were closed but we were thrilled to find Encanto. It's a cute little spot surrounded by lovely neighborhoods and it was doing good business on the evening of our visit. The inside is bright and welcoming, relatively small accommodating maybe 40 max. There was one server and she seemed pretty busy. It took a bit of time for her to come get visit our table so we placed our drink orders and food at the same time. We had a couple of questions about the menu but there was a bit of a language barrier. Never fear because everything ended being good. We had a Hot Dog and Ring of Fire Dog and we both opted for a salad for our side. I asked for the habanero sauce on the side, but I thing it was just left off completely. The salads were great. I loved the chickpeas and the dressing that comes with them was super flavorful and light. Would definitely recommend. The hot dogs were really good too. BIG! We had a footlong dog for lunch and these were almost the same size. All of the toppings really worked well together. I loved how creamy mine was with the melted cheese, guac and aji sauce. I know it's my own fault for asking not to have the Habanero sauce but I wish the Ring of Fire Dog had been spicier. Oh well! I'd definitely come back here to drive other parts of their authentic delicious menu.

Been craving the food here, ESPECIALLY THE PLANTAINS ever since I ate here a few days ago. First the service was very kind, and good vibes in the restaurant. My drink was SOOO good I wish I remembered the name but it was a creamy cocktail. Three of us shared the enchanted platter for 3 which was definitely enough food. Every part was soooo delicious. All the flavors blended together so well. Highly recommend and definitely want to come back in the future.

A Hidden Gem with Enchanted Flavors -- Colombian Comfort with Garden Vibes First time at Encanto Restaurant, and we're already planning our return! This place is tiny, but that's part of the charm--it has a cozy, backyard garden feel with tropical bird art on the walls and a sweet, welcoming vibe throughout. Definitely make a reservation, as seating is limited. We were greeted immediately by a wonderful server who made us feel right at home. Since it was our first visit, we weren't totally sure how the menu worked, but she walked us through it so kindly and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We shared the Enchanted Platter, and it was perfect for first-timers--it includes a little bit of everything: grilled meats like carne asada, chicken, chorizo, and morcilla (black sausage), plus plantains and yellow potatoes. The flavors were bold, comforting, and totally satisfying--and the portion was huge. We were very glad we shared! We also tried the Enchanted Mimosas, which were tropical, refreshing, and the perfect sip for the setting. Fun surprise: Encanto is the sister restaurant to Mi Buena Vida, the fantastic Mexican spot right next door--so the good vibes and great food made perfect sense the moment we stepped in. This was a beautiful intro to Colombian cuisine in a setting that feels like a tucked-away treasure. We'll definitely be back--next time, hungrier and ready to explore more of the menu.

The food here is absolutely delicious. Full of unique flavors and wonderful textures. We loved everything we tried. It's a small, seemingly family run place. Think 1 server for the entire dining room, so service is on the slow side and there may some minor snags. Our server was the absolute sweetest though so, it's easy to overlook. If you have never had Colombian food before, give this tiny gem a try!

Service was quick. We got there as soon as it opened so there was no wait. I ended up getting the Pepiada Arepa- which had chicken and avocado. I thought it was okay. I thought the chicken was a little dry considering it had some sauce. The Frye sauce that was paired with it wasn't my favorite but it wasn't bad. Calima arepa - which was just all veggies was pretty good, not as packed as the others. I liked this one. We also got the Tariona Arepa and that one had beef, cheese and corn. I thought this one was the best one. The beef was really juicy and tender and all the flavors paired well together. Overall place was really cute. Server was friendly and offered good recommendations. I specifically came for the Arepas but they did have other things one the menu that I would want to try in the future. But as for the arepas I think I just got the wrong thing. If I go again I'd definitely get the Tariona again.

I got the empanada appetizer, amazing! Then I went with the encanto burger which had a pineapple puree on top, 10/10. Went on a Monday night at 5pm, thankfully made a reservation because they only have a few tables and after we were seated it packed out quickly and there were several people waiting.

First time here and it was lovely. I love that they decorated for VDay and had musicians ( which were great!). You can tell they put thought into the atmosphere. It is intimate, tropical, and fun. The servers were nice, service was quick. My hubby and I got the burger and Arepa and split. Both were really good but between the two my favorite was the Arepa and his was the burger. For me what makes both are the plantains which adds a sweetness that I'm a fan of. I highly recommend checking them out. They are in a perfect location IMO. We live close so will definitely come again to get dessert! FYI parking is easy if you aren't familiar with the area.

Food was delicious. Service was awesome. The restaurant was so charming and clean. Really enjoyed little touches like the Colombian flag in our dish. We got the platter for 2 and it filled us up and was all incredible.

This is a great, recent addition to the 15&15 neighborhood! The space is so cozy inside and we loved the interior decorations. Our server was very friendly and gave great suggestions. We tried the pork belly as a starter and I'm obsessed! Highly recommend

Encanto Restaurant 1500 S 1500 E SLC (Sugar House) This is the cutest little restaurant with delicious Colombian food! We had the pork belly appetizer, because if pot belly is on the menu, we order it! It was so good! Perfectly cooked and an amazing flavor! And the little boiled potatoes that come with it were awesome too! For our entrees we shared the cheese arepas and the Encanto Burger. Both were as good as they look. That pineapple jam on the burger is *chef's kiss* I'm not gonna lie, we totally had chocolate gelato for dessert so we could dip the rest of the fries in it, but I forgot to take a picture! ‍ But 10/10 recommend that! Perfect for: Date night, friends dinner. It is a small place, but you can make reservations via open table/yelp very easily. Price: $$ Our meal was $65 for the two of us and that included a cocktail. The burger is $19 but it was delicious and shareable. #eathereutah

Pink meat. That they insisted was cooked well done.

The service was very slow even though it was empty when we first got there and one couple arrived after us . The waitress wasn't necessarily outright rude but was giving passive attitude when I asked her to take my daughter meal off the check. they brought my daughter's mini burgers pink on the inside. I let them know and she insisted that they were well cooked. Pictures attached.

Passion fruit juice with milk was so good !

But the normal atmosphere is pretty cool; kinda jungly. The kids' meal (dino nuggets and shoestring fries with juice) was very expensive considering that it probably only cost a few dollars to put together. We loved that it came in a dinosaur skull, though! I ordered an empanada as an appetizer. It was delicious! The filling seemed to be chicken and potatoes, and it came with a yummy sweet dipping sauce. I ordered the mazorcada aka the corn bowl. The name was somewhat misleading as the primary ingredient is meat. Along with the meat and corn, it includes cheese and the sweet dipping sauce. The pork rind was a little much for me, but otherwise it was very good. Overall, this place is pretty cool but not my family's cup of tea. If we do come back, it will undoubtedly be for the dinosaur skull.
